[THAT WAS TRUE... and he did need the food, as much as he didn't want to admit it. It's not that he didn't LIKE to eat, but...]

Fine. But just the one.

[He reaches over to the box, deciding on which one to try first... but given they were all green, it was a tough call.]

So which are which kind?

The ones on this box, from the left are salmon, tuna mayo, tarako and mentaiko.

[She'll even point out which ones are which as she says them.]

The other box has chicken, umeboshi, konbu and nikumaki.

[He frowns a bit, muttering the words under his breath as he uses the modest amount of Japanese he knew to figure out what those were, exactly.]

So that's... roe, flavored roe, pickled plum, kelp and... meat? Rolled meat?

[That didn't sound quite right.... but regardless, he's going to pick the meat one up, along with a salmon, picking the flavors that were most familiar to him. He'd get more adventurous later.]

Well, I had to get food somehow since I'm not staying at home, so I had to go grocery shopping anyway. Besides, coloring things in definitely had to do be done. Not to mention that food is a priority.
