[open] [ that picture from the iron giant of the guy yelling ART ]
WHO: Yusuke Kitagawa + OPEN
WHERE: Around Recolle.
WHEN: From 5/3 to 5/12...!
WHAT: Oh just... normal things.
WARNINGS: Excessive use of PAINT.
[ Anyone who runs into Yusuke from the moment he gets his hands on his paintbrush and a paint pot is going to be aware of two distinct things: firstly, that he is an artist and definitely knows what he's doing with the utensils at his disposal. This ain't his first rodeo, that's for sure.
Secondly though, is that Yusuke is painting a lot like a man possessed - he's specifically focused on finding outlines and getting an idea of the layout, despite his well known attention to detail, and just... doesn't seem to be stopping. From the moment he finds his painting tools, he's back tracking to his home and wildly painting the street back into existence.
And this is how he is for the majority of the week. There's a method to his madness though, he's clearly looking for something, and seems to retracing old steps in an attempt to find it. The longer he's at it, the sloppier the paintwork becomes and, quite honestly, the worse for wear Yusuke seems. He only stops when it gets too dark to paint, and returns home, before leaving to begin again early in the morning. Watch him long enough, and you may even catch him swaying on the spot, or heavy lidded, like he's about to fall asleep on his feet.
... Help him? This is just sad. ]

[ Anyway, she’s managed to extricate a bag of chips! Not the healthiest snack, maybe, but it’s better than nothing, so she edges that into Yusuke’s field of vision. Pay no attention to the pink paint smeared over the front of it - she had to find it somehow. ]
Is there a deadline for painting the city, though?
no subject
Call it a personal deadline.
[ ... Oh! That looks like fOoD. Yusuke just sort of... blinks at it, owlishly. ]
Are you certain? They're your snacks.
no subject
Don’t worry, I’ll be fine! They’re all yours.
[ She crouches down beside him to get a better look at some of the work he’s already done. ]
You’re really talented. So… you’re trying to paint your way somewhere?
no subject
In which case... thank you. I will enjoy them.
[ And enjoy he does, carefully opening the top of the packet and it is now time to feast. ]
Yes, I have a location in mind. And a day to reach it by.
no subject
[ That’s one small victory, and one is better than none! ]
Hey, maybe I can help you get there! I was going to try and find my way somewhere, too. Which way are you headed?
no subject
To my home, wherever that turns out to be. And from there I have another location to reach.
no subject
But… you at least know which direction to go in, right?
no subject
no subject
[ That’s a relief. ]
I’m not much of an artist, but I can help if you want! Someone’s probably found the dojo by now, anyway.
no subject
[ ... ]
A dojo...?
no subject
[ Just saying. She lights up when he asks about the dojo, though. ]
Yep! Utsushi Dojo is where I go for karate classes. I wanted to find it ASAP so I didn’t miss anything but someone’s probably found it already since a lot of people go there.

But, ah. People talking about the things they love is always a joy to observe. The way it lights up people's faces and animates their movements from the inside out is something that cannot be replicated any other way. ]
I see. And now you be able to continue attending classes - team work is very powerful.
