i. Featherman Headquarters

[ When you ring the doorbell, you’re greeted by none other than Ochako herself, except... can you tell it’s her, with that Featherman mask on? At least you’ll know by her voice. ]

Welcome to Featherman Headquarters! You’re right on time!

[ The living room table is covered in Featherman masks - you can thank Futaba for sharing her collection later. Better claim your favorite one before someone else does! Before going off to make sure everyone’s settling in okay, Ochako will point you to the bathroom and the kitchen for snacks. ]

Help yourself to whatever you like!

[ Bonus points to anyone who brings extra snacks to share. ]

ii. Operation: Marathon

[ Since some people aren’t familiar or fully caught up on the show, Ochako and Futaba have taken it upon themselves to get everyone up to speed! Once everyone is comfortable and the lights dim, the two girls step up to perform a recap themselves! Anyone else who knows the story is welcome to join in. Futaba even brought an extra daruma mask if you want to be a villain.

Once the recap is over though, Ochako slides her mask to the top of her head before going to claim her spot, breathing out a small sigh. ]

I don’t know how they do it. It’s so hard to see through those things!

[ Thank goodness they won’t be fighting the villains themselves?! Unfortunately, that means the masks should probably come off for the main event. What’s the point of a marathon if you can’t see it, after all? Without further ado, here we go with episode one! Just don’t ask how Futaba got a hold of the episodes - it’s probably better we don’t know. ]

[ The lights dim, but the television remains dark. You came here for a marathon, didn’t you? It’s supposed to start now, right?

WRONG!

Dramatic music drifts into the living room. ]

Alert, alert! It has come to our attention that some of you aren’t aware of the justice of Featherman, and that cannot stand!

[ Suddenly Ochako and Futaba appear before you, still masked and striking an iconic Featherman pose from the original series as dramatic music begins to play in the background. ]

Previously, on Featherman… Recolle was a normal city like any other, its citizens comfortable and complacent in their lives. But! Unbeknownst - [ Ochako has to stop to stifle a snicker; something about that word is just hilarious ] - Unbeknownst to the innocent people, evil would soon be upon them!

[Cleo is a good guest, of course, so of course she's brought snacks.

Unfortunately, she's also a health nut. Which means, rather than actually good snacks, she's brought... trail mix.]

[... okay, she actually has to repress some laughter at the recap.]

They use different helmets for recording fight scenes.

[That said, the ever-serious Cleo is going to be watching, and is... surprisingly into it? She's got her full focus on the episode, once it starts, clenching fists in excitement as it starts.]

[ Is this… trail mix…? Ochako glances uncertainly between the offered snacks and Cleo’s face, but she looks so sincere, how can she turn this away?

It kind of suits her, though. Cleo did always strike Ochako as a pretty serious person, and with the way she trains, it makes sense she wouldn’t like sweets. Will anyone else want trail mix, though…?

Well, if nothing else, Cleo will have something she likes. So there’s no point in letting any surprise show! ]

Thanks, Cleo!

[ She’ll just take this to the kitchen and offer you a drink then. Tea, maybe? Or just water? There’s plenty of soda, too, but no one who brings trail mix to a party ever wants soda. ]

I still can’t believe I had no idea you’re a fan! How long have you been watching?

[you have guessed her so well, ochako.... she seems completely oblivious to ochako's surprise, and does, in fact, take some tea. because she is that kind of nerd.]

Most of my life, I suppose? When I was young, the TVs always had to be set to something the children would enjoy, so these sorts of superhero shows were on frequently.

[ And this is where Ochako realizes she doesn't actually know how old Cleo is?? She doesn't look that old, but she's always been one of the more mature people from the dojo. ]

Me too! [ She blushes a little while setting the kettle on the stove to boil. ] That's actually why I started karate when I was kid. I wanted to be a hero, just like them.

[cattack]

[And that gets an outright laugh from her.

She is completely oblivious to Ochako's confusion, too... She doesn't think she's mysterious at all??? That said, she does try to keep being from the orphanage hidden, most of the time.]

That's a much, much better way to go about it... I just picked fights.

Really? You?

[ Trying to reconcile the mature black belt from the dojo with a kid who starts fights at school... It's hard to imagine. ]

You always look so calm at the dojo, though. Disciplined? And aren't you training to join the police?

[ how does that add up?? ]

[cattack]

Not training, I actually made it onto the force.

[so, yeah, actual cop in the room]

Well... I try to be disciplined now, but for a long time, I was quite the wild child.

[infreefall]

Oh my gosh, I had no idea! Congratulations!

[ She just went from mildly confused to ecstatic in about half a second flat. ]

I can't even imagine you like that. [ She laughs sheepishly. ] You always have your stuff together, so you'll make a great cop for sure.

[cattack]

Thank you.

[Her voice is just. Calm and collected. But she's got such a dopey grin on her face, and her tail is swishing around excitedly... She's so happy.]

It's a bit embarrassing now, but... I always simply tried to pick fights with anyone who I thought was behaving unjustly.

[infreefall]

[ She actually bounces on her feet a little, nodding emphatically. ]

So you weren't just picking fights, you wanted to do good, too! And now you will with the police! Featherman would be proud!

[ Cleo is LIVING HER DREAM and that's awesome!! ]

[cattack]

[okay, that gets her laughing even more.]

You're not wrong... I hope they would be. But I began taking classes at the dojo to try to become disciplined.

[infreefall]

I think they are! It means you're trying to serve justice the right way. And obviously it worked!

[ The kettle starts to whistle, so Ochako turns to tend to that as they talk. ]

I think my parents were hoping that could work with me too, but I was never really good at being disciplined. [ Cleo may know that, just from watching her. ] My dad says I get too excited.

[cattack]

[she's just. gonna pat ochako's head...]

There's nothing wrong with that. It's a good virtue.

[ It's to suppress a giggle when someone's patting you on the head omg. ]

You say that, but it's gotten me in trouble before. A lot of people think I take things too lightly.

[Kirishima takes one look at their enthusiastic host, the masks and makes a quick decision.

Clearing his throat the redhead turns around and attempts to quickly make an escape, running into whoever's is behind him be damned.]

Ow! Can't you- Sorry, wrong door let me pass, let me pass-!


II. The window escape

[Foiled! Somehow - curse his bad luck - Kirishima hasn't managed to make his escape. Instead he has been wedged between enthusiastic fans and grimaced his way through way more episodes of Featherman than he's ever wanted to watch.

The moment they are on a snacks and bathroom break and Ochako takes her eyes off of him he stands up and starts trying to casually make his way to the door.]

Ah- Kirishima?

[ He might’ve been one of the last people Ochako had been expecting to see today, but she’d been delighted when he appeared at her door. Now she just looks kind of disappointed to see him trying to leave, the mask they’d given him in her hands after finding it on the floor - Featherman Cardinal, because red seemed to be his favorite color. ]

Can’t you just do that tomorrow? We’re only halfway through.

[explodosafe]

Uhhh [Dammit, don't look at him like that! It makes him feel like a scoundrel for dashing her hopes!]

I'd really love to, but its due by tomorrow, you know, math? Aizawa knows no mercy if he catches you slack off and I've started equaling villain fights with match problems already because I keep worrying about that.

[infreefall]

Tomorrow is Sunday.

[ Noted absently, because she’s already distracted by something else he said, fidgeting with the mask in her hands. ]

What do you mean by villain fights?

[explodosafe]

Exactly! If I don't have it ready by tomorrow evening it's going to be left lying again, and knowing myself it'll take me HOURS to get it catch all of my mistakes.. [He's sweating now. God, he has never had any problems lying to adults but a not-scary girl like Uraraka is making him feel like he'll die any second for it.]

Uh, well, they're pretty du- not very smart, are they? If I were the boss of those guys I'd have fired and replaced them with somebody more competent years ago.

[DOES THIS EVEN MAKE SENSE WITH WHAT HE CLAIMED BEFORE]

[The spread of masks was both interesting and confusing to him. He takes a look at all the masks trying each one over his face before turning to them.]

Which one looks best on me? If I'm gonna be here I'm gonna make sure it's worth it!

[Kirishima takes a look and then points at the one with the most garish colors.]

This one.

[If he has to suffer through this then he'll be damned if he's the only one.]

[ Ochako gives him a thoughtful once-over before turning to the masks. She definitely saw one that would be perfect somewhere in here… ]

Aha! Here!

[ Looks like she’s grabbed a mask with one big, blue spike at the top, also striped with black and white. ]
