WHO: Akira Kurusu and Haru Okumura
WHERE: Mochi House (aka Akira's place)
WHEN: May 1st
WHAT: WE'RE PLAYING VIDEOGAMES and talking about our memories for once.
WARNINGS: P5 Spoilers!!
[ It's been a hard first half of the year, but things are picking up. Even when he went on an amnesia trip, he learned an important lesson for the nth time. Again, he wanted to change how he's been approaching his friends, but there's an emptiness in his heart—something's missing, yet not. Someone they both know is no longer on the app... And he thinks to himself he missed so many chances to talk to her about things that mattered.
This videogame night had been planned for some time, always pushed back by Recolle's strange happenings. Finally, tonight is the night; they'll be triumphant with two cats snuggling next to them. The console is whirring on as the game of Haru's choice shows up on the screen, sound booming from the stereo that Akira recently invested in so that his roommates can enjoy entertainment in full. His eyes are glued to the screen, taking in the crisp definition of the logo, but not completely reading it. There's something else on his mind, but he tries to gear it back to having some fun. ]
So what's this game about?
[ Tilting his head, he's munching through a bag of chips (very loudly for the sake of it), turning his attention over to her. They can start there. ]

So what's this game about?
[ Tilting his head, he's munching through a bag of chips (very loudly for the sake of it), turning his attention over to her. They can start there. ]

At his question, Haru blinks and snaps out of it, then looks over at him - while giving a wince from how loud he's chewing. That's so rude, Akira...]
Oh, um... It's the latest in a series. Goddess of War? The series had been centered on the Norse gods, but now they've moved on to Greek ones, and it focuses on her and her daughter on their journey.

That's interesting—I don't need to know the story of the previous games, right?
[ Now he's worried he'll get lost. ]

[With that, she eats the chips, then starts the game. It seamlessly goes into the game, so she'll speak up after she finishes with the chips.] There's more backstory to it, of course, but I don't think you need to know all of it for this.
[And now that the game's started, a smile starts to come up just by seeing Saga. This is definitely a series she's fond of.]

[ But he doesn't dislike it? If anything, he likes this premise a lot which can be seen in the way his eyes twinkle as she explains a little more. He holds out the bag of chips for he before sliding closer to her so it's easier for her to munch, too. ]
I'm ready to slay some gods. Let's go.
[ He says that, but Haru is in control. ]

[And Haru LOVES it. With the chips being closer, Haru munches on them freely, eyes glued to the screen now that the story's started.]
Every time I die in this, I'll hand the controller to you, and vice versa. That way we'll both get a chance to play. [It's only fair!]

[ Thank Jesus he wasn't here when Makoto and Haru were playing Mario Kart. For now, he enjoys the start of the game. The detail is superb and he's quickly captivated by the voice acting. ]
What drew you to the game in the first place?
[ It's time. ]

Well... Initially, I enjoyed the concept and the game play. It's incredibly brutal, and causing so much bloodshed was thrilling to me. [Said all too casually.] But as I played it... [She gestures to Saga herself.] Her. Look at her!
[She's already told Akira she likes girls, so she doesn't hesitate to tell him this. Saga is buff, ruggedly attractive, and as Akira saw, she could tear through a tree with one arm and carry it on her shoulder with ease. And she was responsible for all the bloodshed Haru talked about!]
She was my first fictional crush, Akira!

Does his best to smile the whole time she says that. Yeah. He kind of like the same thing? He likes brawling, but... Not... Uhm. Let's focus on Haru's fictional crush. Akira can get behind that easier. He turns his attention to Saga to see her in all her glory. She can probably break him in half like a twig— ]
Good choice.
[ They share similar tastes in older women... I guess... ]
Would she be your ideal partner in real life, too?
no subject
jk Haru knows her taste is... questionable at least, so she won't mention it too much. Haru directs Saga to walk towards her daughter now, though she'll still swivel around to look at all the detail put into the environment. That question gets Haru to open her mouth, then close it, a thoughtful little frown forming.]
I'm not sure Saga could function in a society like this, so no, probably not. Though she does have the physique that I admire the most.

Anyway, he finds this part funny: ]
You and Goro have similar... preferences.
[ BUFF? LEAN? ATTRACTIVE? MUSCLE? VERY NICE MUSCLES? ]

Why do you think we're such good friends?
[Besides the actual reasons, but they certainly approve of each other's tastes, even if it's not the genders they prefer.]

The ends of his lips twitch in his lopsided smile as he tries to think of something witty. ]
Because he wanted to touch your hair.
[ Priorities... When he watches Saga hoist the tree and take it to the river, he’s just amazed by the quality. Seems like they’re transporting the tree?? And it’s not weighing down the boat. What?? ]
Would you still be interested in going on dates with softer girls?
