[open/mingle] in which cats reign
WHO: pretty much anyone, leo, and like twelve cats
WHERE: park
WHEN: 20th-22nd
WHAT: a three day cat concert..! it's just a log about cats (for cats by cats)
WARNINGS: n/a
i.
[the cats are always out and about to greet people before it's time to begin, cute colorful ribbons tied around their neck or tail (depending on which was easiest, frankly), and they... are not actually shy of human contact despite being strays one might's seen around the city.
they will beg for food though. give them food. they will literally mob people if they see them with food, meowing and pleading and getting underfoot. stealing things from picnics and the like as well.]
ii.
[the actual concert performances are conducted by leo and
honestly they sounds like a bunch of cats singing sound.
there is a certain cadence to it that's actually songlike, the cats are actually singing to what leo is playing on his keyboard and they're sitting very nicely on the steps he's got for them too, but their attention spans aren't good enough for performances and, without fail, at some point of time they start to just... wander off... sitting in people's laps or rolling on the ground without a care.
the conductor doesn't seem to mind and just gestures for people to take their places, which can be your character or some npc, and yes he will bean cat treats at whoever is singing as "rewards". complain if you want or try and catch them, laugh at your friends or encourage them to go up and try!!]
iii.
[otherwise, there's apparently plenty to do..! leo has makeshift profiles of all the cats next to their resting spots (the big sign drawing anyone to it says star hall despite there not being a hall in the middle of the park and they're apparently all up for adoption... with papers to show their vaccinations and the like.
there's toys! there's treats! there's a space dubbed the "sleeping corner" where you can curl up with the cats and doze in the afternoon sun! it's a paradise!
play with the cats and enjoy the company of them, they're all named after different flowers and are all kinds of colors and personalities! it's really just a log about cats in the end.]

[leo: today i met a summoner
nazuna: yeah?
leo: yeah. she can summon the literal god of death]
no subject
[ you know, nbd. so casual about this. ]
The ones I can summon are, simply put... Thanatos, the Greek personification-slash-god of death; Jack Frost, the wily snow fairy of English fame; and Surt, a fire giant from Norse mythology who is said to lead his kin to destroy the Vanir and Aesir during Ragnarok.
...Jack Frost is by far the most talkative of the three.
no subject
[she can definitely take her pets along, he doesn't seem to mind.]
no subject
[ let her collect her things and her pets..... ]
Lead the way, Maestro.
no subject
We should be fine here~. And everyone can get along without me, though I'll keep an eye out for trouble anyway. Show me, show me.
no subject
regardless, she takes her grimoire out again and flips to a page marked with a blue tag, like one of those ones you use to mark places in your school textbooks. and, with a soft flash of light, Jack Frost appears and bounces beside her.
hey-hee-ho! new friend, lizzie? ]
Something like that. [ ...something like that. ] Maestro, this is Jack Frost. He loves winter, snow, ice, frozen yogurt, and... well, really, I suppose you get the idea: he's fond of cold. And pranks. Jack, this is Maestro Leo... Tsukinaga, was it?
no subject
was straight up magic yes.
and it does talk. oh my god. oh my god!!!!!]
Yup, yup! Nice t'meetcha, Jackie, just call me Leo~. I'm no good with the cold, but snow's fun and I like yogurt. Pranks are my second favorite thing to do! Lizzie's a cute name for a cute girl too.

[ .......this is so casually dropped in, and jack's moving closer to leo to inspect him. with a musical hum and a hee-ho, hee-ho under his breath. ]
My name is Elizabeth, but Lizzie's fine as well, to be quite honest... though Jack here's the only one who calls me it. [ hahaha what are nicknames. ] I'm fond of it, though.
[ like you should be, hee-ho! i don't just nickname anyone! sure, jack. hey, leoboy, are you gonna be that short forever, hee-ho? you're just about lizzie's size! ]
.......I apologize for his bluntness. [ Ahem. ] He likes to make his observations known.

boyfriend
okay, that's fine, he usually doesn't care one way or the other if he's really gunning for someone, he rolls his shoulders with a scowl at jack frost's comment though.]
I'll call you Lizzie too, then~. And who're you callin' short, little man? I've still got a couple years to shoot up!
[which he
is not gonna? he isn't. he's fated to be short.]
no subject
Do you, now... How fortunate for you. I believe I've reached the peak of my own growth, and I'm not particularly surprised by it—my immediate family, if I recall correctly, was on the shorter side of the family.
[ THE UNCLE WHO RESIDES IN THIS CITY, ON THE OTHER HAND, ]
It's likely you'll only grow a few more inches, however.
no subject
[his age and that height......... maybe he'll stay at it the way leo has.]
no subject
no subject
[let's see.]
It's someone always looking up to you, Lizzie, and watching your every move... Someone who uses you as an example for their life above anyone else -- at least, for us it was kinda that way, since he's just four years younger than me -- so you've gotta be careful about what you do around 'em.
But it's fun too! Tsuka-tan and I are pretty close, so it's nice to hang out and talk like friends do. ♪ I guess it's easier to answer questions than to just talk about what it's like, since every sibling story's different -- a friend of mine, Nazu, he's got like, six younger siblings, so it's really different -- so if you've got specifics, lemme know. ♪
no subject
thankfully, however, ]
Have you ever misbehaved around your younger brother?
no subject
[tsukasa knows he's a punk at the very least. a rebel who's gotten into trouble here and there. but nothing too serious or image-shattering.]
