[open/mingle] in which cats reign
WHO: pretty much anyone, leo, and like twelve cats
WHERE: park
WHEN: 20th-22nd
WHAT: a three day cat concert..! it's just a log about cats (for cats by cats)
WARNINGS: n/a
i.
[the cats are always out and about to greet people before it's time to begin, cute colorful ribbons tied around their neck or tail (depending on which was easiest, frankly), and they... are not actually shy of human contact despite being strays one might's seen around the city.
they will beg for food though. give them food. they will literally mob people if they see them with food, meowing and pleading and getting underfoot. stealing things from picnics and the like as well.]
ii.
[the actual concert performances are conducted by leo and
honestly they sounds like a bunch of cats singing sound.
there is a certain cadence to it that's actually songlike, the cats are actually singing to what leo is playing on his keyboard and they're sitting very nicely on the steps he's got for them too, but their attention spans aren't good enough for performances and, without fail, at some point of time they start to just... wander off... sitting in people's laps or rolling on the ground without a care.
the conductor doesn't seem to mind and just gestures for people to take their places, which can be your character or some npc, and yes he will bean cat treats at whoever is singing as "rewards". complain if you want or try and catch them, laugh at your friends or encourage them to go up and try!!]
iii.
[otherwise, there's apparently plenty to do..! leo has makeshift profiles of all the cats next to their resting spots (the big sign drawing anyone to it says star hall despite there not being a hall in the middle of the park and they're apparently all up for adoption... with papers to show their vaccinations and the like.
there's toys! there's treats! there's a space dubbed the "sleeping corner" where you can curl up with the cats and doze in the afternoon sun! it's a paradise!
play with the cats and enjoy the company of them, they're all named after different flowers and are all kinds of colors and personalities! it's really just a log about cats in the end.]

[ huffs! ] I've been on this app for a year now and it's all I can remember. It's not like high school's the highlight of everyone's life, jeez.
no subject
It is usually a pretty important period though, isn't it? These are our formative years... or something like that. There's a ton of shows and comics focused on it too. [ hmmmm. ] I feel like an idol school—or a performing arts school, or whatever it is Yumenosaki is—would be perfect as a setting for an anime or something like that... Right? Especially with all the, ah, mmm, interesting events that seem to go on... That'd be good for arcs~.
no subject
Are you really implying that we're in some stupid anime with all those crazy plots? I don't even want to think about it. One of my friend's a fucking protagonist in a world where giant robots ruled out space and I'm still reeling from how cringy it is.
[ even if it does sound pretty cool... sorry, asuka ]
no subject
Are you saying we're not...? Look at Recollé every month since we've been on the app. I don't think thinking that our past lives might've been something similar, if maybe a little tamer, is too much of a stretch...
no subject
[ PLEASE... let him have some semblance of mind in this chaotic world they're in ]
no subject
...Alright. [ :T ] Then we were just a group of exceptionally talented, yet still ordinary, people, with many of us apparently being quite well-off and having a lot of interpersonal problems. Is that better, Sena-senpai?
no subject
[ patpat, he's petting your head like a cat for being such a good boy!! too bad it doesn't last long, because his hand shifts from the top of his head to his cheek to give it a pinch. ]
And don't call me soft ever again either just because of how you view your memories with rose-colored glasses.
no subject
nnggGG ]
I meant in this life too— [ that's not going to help, he knows, so he tugs at sena's hand, pleaaase ] Sorry, sorry! I won't say anything about you ever again?
no subject
It's fine. It's just that... Not everything in that school's all sugar and rainbows, so I don't really see how I was soft even back then.
[ he hates talking about izumi in this realm but he may as well throw a bone at kasa's direction this once. ]
There were some cute times but overall the idol life in Yumenosaki seemed too much of a hassle, if you look at it differently.
no subject
You're really a pessimist, huh. [ ... ] I know that Suou had a lot of fun, though. Or maybe... He just really liked it. Knights was always his only pick—he couldn't think of being part of any unit aside from them. I sort of admire that dedication... even if his senpai were unruly sometimes and frustrated him sometimes, and Leader was an entirely other story, too...
[ it must be nice, having people you love like that. he guesses he sort of has those, but... ]
Maybe that's just because he was a first year though. [ huff. ] I guess it doesn't really matter either way, either...
no subject
[ wow, he's being honest about it for once. ]
Age did have something to do with it, yeah? You were a freshman, and I was at least a couple of years older than you - maybe I was in my senior year, and you know how your final year of high school is pretty much the most stressful time of that phase.
[ too bad that's all he can remember, though... it's frustrating. ]
no subject
...Is it really that stressful?
[ he's thinking about a heavier workload Plus what his parents get him to do Plus Plus his work Plus Plus Plus retrospec bs
he can do it. it's fine. he can handle it. no problem. ]
no subject
[ kasa-kun's from a family of teacher's, right? it should be fine. probably. ]
no subject
[ it... will be... even if he has to sacrifice a little here and there. ]
What was your best subject anyway?
no subject
[ shrugs ]
I... wasn't really that special back then anyway, believe it or not. Hell, you could say that I used to look like a nerd. I was the vice captain of the chess club, once upon a time.
no subject
tsukasa squints at him for like, a second, before he realizes that's Rude and stops. doing that. ]
...That's kind of charming to hear, senpai. [ eheh. ] Do you still play? Can you teach me? Chess seems boring, but I bet it'd be pretty interesting with you.
[ how are leo and tsukasa related, ]
no subject
It only seems boring to you because your last two braincells wouldn't know the difference between a draw and a stalemate. [ hmph! ] But I suppose I could teach you the basics. We were knights, after all.
no subject
but sena agreeing has him blinking and sitting up, uwoah. ]
Really? [ ...huh. ] Thank you, senpai~. Though I don't think chess has anything to do with knights... Allusions aside.
no subject
[ i forgot the capitalize the K im sowwy ]
It's still a pretty good hobby to pick up sometime, though. It lets you strategize, keeps you on your feet as you try to read your opponent's next move. Honestly I haven't been playing much as of late, but if you still want to check it out then by all means.
[ behold, tsukasa. your cool senpai is still a nerd after all these years. please don't tell leo ]
no subject
Of course I do~! Sena-senpai indulged me with horses, after all ♪ I should return the favor... [ ... ] It's nice to see this side of you, too. It's unexpected.
[ sena... a Nerd... sugoi ]
