OOC: This log will just be a place where I can put in all the event threads for my characters! Since I won't be putting up a top-level, I will be starting some threads in here so I can have all my event threads in one general place. [ chasing around fire spirits on top of a floating city doesn't really faze souji. he's seen and been to much weirder places doing much weirder things during his long stay in recolle so nothing truly fazes him anymore. however, while he's out chasing one particular pesky spirit with mako, he did not expect for it to stop and jump inside mako. oh boy, how does souji handle something like this ]

Mako, are you all right? Do you feel fine?

[ GOOGLE: HOW DOES HE EXORCISE AS GHOST FROM HIS BFF ]

[that was--- really, really weird. And at first, Mako looks about as one would in a situation like this: bewildered, maybe even a bit worried. Actually, maybe that's just Mako, with his tendency to overthink things.

Who knows.

But the worry quickly fades-- as does any thought of what he was previously doing. Ghost? Spirit? Eh, whatever, it's probably fine. He, however, feels great. And he grins.]

Yeah! Yeah, I'm super great.

[in fact, he rocks on his feet a little bit, like he's loosening up.]

Souji, I've got an idea. Throw some fire at me, will ya?

[ souji is ready to try and see if some healing magic will work on mako but then mako says the most outrageous thing that he just has to stop ]

... what?

If you don't have any fire, what about lightning?

C'mon, man. I can handle it.

[ souji normally jokes about setting things on fire (such as himself) or using his weird persona powers for mass destruction but he would never actually do it. he's not dumb or irresponsible enough to do that, especially not towards a friend who's definitely not immune to fire and lightning. it's strange for mako to even ask and for his mood/personality to do a complete 180 after the fire spirit went inside him so the only logical conclusion is... ]

... is this the fire spirit talking?

[ he will walk up to mako and tap on his chest with his finger a few times as if he's knocking ]

No, seriously!

[he pushes his hand away, completely unperturbed.]

I never showed you all the things my power can do. So, c'mon, hit me!

[ souji is still... very unsure about this. he doesn't exactly have any personas that do anything weaker than a -dyne attack so it's not like he can send off a tiny little bit of fire or lightning without fear of hurting mako. ]

How about you tell me what you'll do first?

[ so then he can decide if he wants to actually do it or not ]

[obviously. But hey, at least he sounds proud and confident he can do it? This is fine!

Though yeah, he'll probably feel.... a little bad for bragging later.]

[ he was hoping to hear that mako would want to dodge it or do something that doesn't involve him actually getting hit with the lightning bolt or fire so ]

When did you learn this?

It kind of came while I was getting better at it.

C'mon, trust me. I threw fire at you all day, your innate abilities mostly blocked it! [he sounds waaaaaayyyy less bothered by that than he should be.]

Just trust mine.

[ ... yeah, that second last comment is raising all sorts of alarms. he knows that they've had a talk about it and he told mako not to blame himself anymore for the incident or the scar but he doesn't think mako would be able to talk about it even that casually. however, mako... does have a point about the whole trust thing. he does suppose that it's hypocritical of him to tell mako to trust him on a bunch of immunities and he can't trust mako with any of his abilities. ]

... all right, get ready.

[ souji takes a few steps back, putting a few feet between him and mako. he takes a few deep breathes before he even summons mada. he really doesn't have any weaker fire spells than agidyne but he'll at least tell mada to maybe throw it... slowly? just not to hurl it at mako so he does exactly that. instructing mada to very slow and cautious, the giant persona throws a fireball straight at mako ]
