[It's during the day. Perhaps she is just outside in her yard at home, for those there to come to see her, making use of the privacy while her brother isn't around to see her. To see her using the cards or practicing with the Sword especially, or her hand to hand that others had been teaching her in defending herself. Or perhaps she is out at the park or in the woods for privacy instead.

Either way, she is trying out her newer cards - Illusion (a card that creates an image of something the person most desires to see) and Watery (Which creates water, pretty self explanatory), while also keeping up with her less recent cards she has. Using Mirror as a training dummy of sorts to go up against, at least with hand to hand. Which makes it look like there are two of her. Or she might be using Fly, hovering to not quite go above the treeline in being seen too easily, but still enjoying the freedom and practice of that, the privacy and feel of the wind in her hair.

Though whatever semblance of privacy she has might well be shattered with someone else finding her. But for now she seems pretty 'in the moment'. Either savoring the feeling of the flight, or focusing on her training. So she might not quite immediately notice she has company. Not right away.]

[His parents are indeed around, though they don't mind if he gets a little bit out of their sight. So when she shushes him, he nods. Very secret.]

When did you get your cool ride?

[Lots of people have cool rides that are totally normal, like motorcycles, etc. You are now picturing Sakura riding a motorcycle.]

Um. From Retrospec, actually.

[She answers, landing next to him and dismissing Fly, pocketing the card itself before she deactivates her staff, changing it back to the usual necklace form. This is usually more discreet, but. Since he has already seen her, she doesn't seem to mind so much if he sees this too. In her then clasping the necklace back around her neck, the tiny bird like pendant on it reminiscent of the staff she was riding.]

[It even has a travel mode... or, wouldn't the other form be the traveling mode? Whatever, it's convenient to have a tiny version.]

I want one too, but they're not going to let me pick what I get even if I ask nicely...

[It's okay, Shinji. Someday you'll get a tank.]

Unfortunately, no. I'm not sure we get to choose. I mean. You could choose whether to get your things from the mail, but. I'm not sure there's more than that I can try reassure you on. Unfortunately.

[It's not like she was specifically asking for her getting these cards either but. Here she is. Apologizing about it to some kid.]

[Buuut it's not her fault, even he knows that.]

If I get something really cool like that, I'm gonna show it off to everybody.

I guess you could. Just um. Maybe not the others, the people without the app? I'm not sure they would really....appreciate it as much.

[Because there is that complication. Which part of her is at least somewhat grateful for in her brother's case. Since she knows he would only worry and get all the more protective if he knew what she was getting up to with Retrospec.]

What's the point of getting something cool if everybody doesn't know you have it?

[Even if it's totally physically impossible, like flying. He still wants to show off!!]

Well, that's. I haven't gone around showing everyone, exactly. Not even everyone with the app necessarily knows about my cards. My magic. Even if everyone did have it, I'm not sure I'd go around telling everyone.

[Though maybe that's in part due to magic not really being a thing here, outside of the magic ability and cards she got from the app, let alone in her memories in her daily life that she recalls.]

Why not? It's not bad or evil magic, right?

[That's the only reason Shinji can imagine keeping his magic a secret, if it were bad or hurt people.]

No, nothing like that. It's just -- well. Most won't even notice it, without the app? So. It's just easier to keep quiet. That and I wouldn't want to scare or confuse anyone. You're taking it pretty well at least.

[She tries to explain and reassure him. Because she hadn't meant for him to see her and get startled or anything like that.]

Of course I'm taking it well, it's cool. I dunno what kind of weenie would be scared of seeing you flying around.

He's scared of the dark, but not magical powers.]

If you say so. It's just. Not something you see everyday, is all.

[So she wouldn't be entirely surprised if it did possibly make some people start. This wasn't exactly her flying in some plane or helicopter or something. Her staff was decidedly less traditional, if similar to the 'traditional' broomstick sort of deal with the witches in stories.]

[This is totally what Shinji was supposed to take out of that response. Definitely.]

H-hoeee? Every day? I'm not sure that's what I meant.....?

[Sakura blinks, unsure on that particular reaction. But probably he was just really keen and curious about magic? Or something like that. So she figures?]

Well it should be what you meant.

[Shinji, the most mature of eight-year-olds, will bother Sakura forever if that's what he has to do to see actual magic.]

It really isn't though......

[She is at least trying to keep this somewhat secret? Sort of? Please Shinji. Don't go telling everyone or constantly pestering her about showing you her magic.]

Maybe if everyone had the app and I wouldn't be so worried about it. But for now at least. You won't say anything, will you?

[At least. Not to anyone not on the app? Probably not that it would really matter because they wouldn't believe him without the app but still. Even those with the app who aren't aware of her cards might be confused, at least initially.]

Fiiiine, I won't tell anybody.

[The people without the app won't believe it and the people with the app won't be too freaked out, so Shinji doesn't see the point, but if he has to.]

[She introduces herself with a smile, before then asking on his own, leaning forward a little more.]

Shinji Matou. I've got a cousin named Sakura.

[It's a nice name! But cousin-Sakura is automatically better, sorry.]

Oh! You do? I think I might have met her a while ago at one point, actually.

[If she remembers right. If it wasn't another Sakura. She's not sure if there might be others with the same name besides his sister, after all.]

Sakura Tohsaka? She's on Retrospec too. Isn't she the best?

[His family is the best and no one else can make fun of them but him.]

Long hair, right? If it's the Sakura I was thinking of, at least. She seemed really nice!

[At least, the one time Sakura met her and all. When she had come in for cupcakes. If Sakura remembered rightly.]
