[CLOSED] I don't like Mondays
WHO: Akira Turner & Maki Turner
WHERE: Expressive in Tisse
WHEN: Mid-month
WHAT: Maki is playing hooky and big brother catches her
WARNINGS: One PA Family
[ Akira's a busy man by practice and intention. Yes, he has a lot on his plate with finishing up grad school, a job, and his internships. But his self-imposed Retrospec investigation also takes up a lot of his time. He's usually either holed up in his room working until the early hours of the morning or out of the house for nearly a whole day entirely.
Today is one of the latter. He's out, having finished his morning classes and decided to stop by a coffee shop for an extra caffeine boost before heading downtown to the District Courthouse. Hopefully he'll be able to sit in on a case for his final dissertation.
Expressive is fairly popular, which is of no concern to him, but has decent coffee, which is of concern to him. So he steps into the shop like it's any other day.
Until he hears a familiar voice by the counter.
Is that...? ]

I asked for soy not two perce—
[ The barista takes her latte back, and Maki returns to her notebook of half-fished lyrics and hanging musical notes.
All it takes is a split second really, she turns her head, sees a face that may or may not be unfortunately familiar; and immediately she turns away, notebook held up in front of her face.
If she can't see him, he can't see her. Right?
Right.
It probably wasn't even him! Right? ]

Yep.
He can't see her at all. Or her notebook. Or the jacket he saw her leave in this morning. She's basically invisible.
Since her deception is so amazing, Akira decides he'll just walk right on up to the counter like she really is a ghost. Not looking in her direction, taking a moment in line to fiddle with his phone. Once he's at the counter, he places his order, simple and calm. ]
Just the house blend with room, please.
[ Will she stay or will she go, he wonders. ]
