I.) Lately I've been stuck imagining what I wanna do and what I really think - Recollé High Library + Student Council room

[Despite the fact that Spring Break is right around the corner, that's not stopping Rise from working herself into overdrive. Fellow high school students can easily find her in the library hidden behind a stack of books with papers, her laptop, and an assortment of writing utensils spread out at a desk. There's an extra chair if you feel like being a study buddy but otherwise she's going to keep to herself until someone interrupts.

Then again, there are also times that Rise can be found in the library during lunch or after school wandering through the aisles with stacks of books in her arms. She appears to be re-shelving things as she goes, but if she notices someone looking for a specific book she'll take a moment to collect herself before approaching.]

Can I help you find something?

[After school a few days a week Rise can be found in the Student Council room cleaning up and organizing notes and student agendas, reviewing requests and creating a large calendar of events for April. If anyone sticks their head inside the room they will find her at a table with her sleeves rolled up and a pencil in hand as she quickly jots down notes. However, whoever you are, you'll soon be spotted and she'll light up.]

Hey, can you do me a favor and hand me that roll of tape? [She's definitely gesturing to one of the rolls of tape across the room. Please help her.]

II.) It's Britney Rise, bitch. I see you, and I just wanna dance with you - Dancinerate

[With ballet being one of her biggest passions, Rise can be found at Dancinerate not only for her own lessons but just for hanging out with fellow dancers, observing other classes, or even just helping around the studio. Maybe you're in a different class, or maybe you're borrowing the practice room next to hers.

Either way, she's usually found dressed down in her dance clothes and her hair wound tightly in a bun as she practices. She's far more at ease here than anywhere else and it's why she'll chat with anyone who's around.]

…can I ask you a really weird question?

[Alternatively, if she spots someone finishing practice she's right there handing over a fresh water bottle.]

Nice form. [And that's about all she says on that.]

III.) All my people in the crowd, grab a partner take it down - Animal Shelter/dog-walking, Wednesdays only

[On top of everything else, Rise can be found working at the animal shelter on Wednesday afternoons. Come stop in and say hi to the shelter's crew of furry friends looking for forever homes, she'll be more than happy to perk up from a back room and come out to greet you with a kitten in her arms.]

Hi! [Again, weirdly at ease and probably more cheerful than she appears to be at school.] Are you looking to adopt today?

[When she's not working in the actual shelter, Rise hits the street with a pack of dogs in tow. The three dogs (a dalmatian, a german shepherd, and a labrador) are all roughly the same size at least but they're of varying strengths. It's hard to say who's walking who here as the dogs drag her down the sidewalk.

Without warning though, the labrador barks and spots something ahead, tugging hard and pulling right out of Rise's grip.]

H-hey! Get back here! [The dog breaks free and runs as Rise tries to get the other dogs to cooperate to chase down their wayward companion. Help a girl out?]

IV.) Cotton candy kiss, can't wait for my sugar rush - Novel Idea

[Sometimes a girl deserves to pamper herself. Some girls Rise's age do that by binging on clothes or make-up, but no. Instead, she's at Novel Idea in their manga/comics section. Backpack at her feet and back against the shelf, Rise finds herself flipping through the first issue of some shoujo manga. She appears to be intently reading and 100% unaware of her surroundings.

She also appears to be 100% in the way and might be blocking your path? Sorry about that. Maybe asking her to move would help?]

[ Believe it or not, Noah actually will show up on Wednesday. He dropped his stuff off at home, including Timcanpy, and is coming in with almost normal looking clothes.

Still okay so it's a heavy metal band shirt and jeans, but pretty normal considering he's usually looks like an escape hot topic catalog model ]

Actually, I'm looking to work?

[Oh. Oh. She genuinely looks surprised when Noah turns up and it's why her eyes widen a bit and before she can stop herself:]

Noah! [Like yes, they'd talked about this but she hadn't been sure he would actually follow up on that.] Hey, I didn't think...hi. [But there's a smile.] We could definitely use a hand today. You picked a good time to show up.

[redarm]

[He notices her surprise. He's not all that shocked she didn't expect him to follow up, so he just goes with it. ]

Yeah, hi. [He says it with a look of amusement] You did lure me here with the promise of dogs, so... [He shrugs] Tell me what I need to do.

I did, yeah. [Surprised or not, she's incredibly pleased to see him as she shifts the kitten in her hands and motions for Noah to follow her.]

Let me put Neptune back and I can take you to the dog kennels. For the most part they'll need some company while we clean out their kennels and food bowls. And later we'll have to take some of them out for walks. Sound good?

[Naoto, unfortunately, often suffers the same problem as Rise when she's walking her dog. Which, as it happens, is what she's doing right now. In fact, she-- and Kanji-- are the sight that caused the one dog to dart out of Rise's grip, as she'd been walking him to the dog park.

She hears the barking; Kanji's ears twitch as he turns to look, and starts barking in turn. The lab comes to a halt a few feet away as Naoto tries to shorten the leash, holding her dog in check. She's so busy looking down at Kanji that she doesn't really look up at the figure running up to her with some (equally barking) dogs.] Ah-- it's all right, he's friendly, I promise, he probably just wants to play--

[And she looks up at Rise, and... her expression turns visibly shocked. This girl.

She knows this girl.]

[She's running and it's a little hard with the other dogs in tow, but lucky for her the lab feels like listening and stops in front of Naoto and Kanji, barking pleasantly and wagging his doggy tail. Once Rise catches up, she scowls a little at the dog just takes his leash.]

What was that all about, huh? We've talked about this! [Is she talking to the dog? Yes, yes she is. However, she's busy making sure she keeps a grip on the lab's leash and doesn't see Naoto's expression right away.] Thanks a lot! He gets really excited when we go out so sometimes he gets ahead of himself.

[It's then she looks up and gives Naoto a curious look, unsure of what to make of that expression. Hello, Naoto. This person doesn't really look familiar to her and so Rise finds herself backing off just a little, smile softening even as she takes a step back.]

Is your dog okay?

[It is unmistakably her. There's no denying it: This is one of the girls she's seen in her memories. Her classmate. Maybe her style of dress, her hair, they're not quite the same, but the face is identical.

Rise Kujikawa.

Naoto's mouth moves, but no words come out, because she's not sure what to say. Has she awakened? She seemingly doesn't remember her, so maybe she's not even aware of these past lives?

The leash slips from her hands just slightly, enough to allow Kanji room to approach, tail wagging as he sniffs his new best friends.] ...yes, he's-- he's fine.

I'm sorry, I just thought I-- I recognized you from somewhere. I must have, ah, been mistaken. [Naoto, you're a crummy liar.]

[She doesn't know how to reply to that, but her attention immediately moves to Kanji who approaches the other canines. The dogs seem to be getting along and Rise even holds out a hand for Kanji to sniff while she gives Naoto another quizzical look.]

Are you in high school? [They look about the same age, so it's not an awkward question. There's a slight smile though because it's a little strange to hear that she's recognized.] Maybe that's where.

[ He could turn around and take another aisle; that would be the easiest thing to do, if Minato were paying attention and didn't almost run straight into Rise's knees before he jolts to the present and— takes a huge jump over them like he's running the hurdles, like the impressive sprinter he used to be in a past life. One whose shoes don't accidentally catch the very tip of the book in her hands, who doesn't stumble his landing like Minato does now, a jolt of pain shooting up his ankle as he bites back a brief grimace, and looks at Rise sitting right there. ]

...Crap, did I damage it?

[ The book. But also very nearly her hands/face/the rest of her that's sitting right there where she has no business being, there are probably actual chairs around? please sit in those. ]

[Yeah, sorry, she doesn't even really notice until she watches Minato stumble out of the corner of her eye and the book tips in her hand, a startled gasp as his feet blow past her. Her head jerks up and she turns to stare at him, unsure of what to make of him and also looking pretty alarmed.]

I hope not! I didn't want to buy this copy, I already own it. [She's also moving to draw her knees closer to herself to try and be further out of the way. Chairs are useless, apparently.] Are you okay? That was some jump.

[She's not that impressed but still.]

There was a very real chance Minato would have said that, but he's taken aback by the question, and the comment. ]

I'll be fine. [ It's not a complete lie, and it's not debilitating pain when he shifts his weight from foot to foot— immediately back to the other foot— so nothing is broken, everything will be alright. ]

...Anyways... Doesn't reading like that hurt your neck?

[Wow!! Thanks Minato? It's probably nice that he didn't say so because otherwise she would absolutely get up and leave. As it is though she seems to still be a little concerned even if she's not sure she believes him.]

If you say so. [There's a shrug though and she's flush against the shelves, legs bent in a way that's only possible for someone very flexible to stay out of the way.] But no, not really! I'm used to reading like this at school and everything. It's not that different from reading at a table.

[Though Li-Na is taking jazz lessons at the studio, she still spends extra time working on her ballet technique in the practice rooms. So she is at the studio a lot throughout the week. There is one practice room in particular that she favors, because the light is just right in the afternoons.

She's taking a short breather after doing far too many pirouettes when Rise pops over from the next practice room.]

What makes it weird?

[It's Li-Na so she's far more at ease as she folds her arms over her chest, stretching a little and popping up on her toes as well while standing in place.]

It's weird because I feel like it's a thing that shouldn't be possible. But did the whole studio, like, move? [The studio used to be in a completely opposite direction, didn't it?]

[Li-Na lets out a small laugh]

Yes. Yes, it did.

[she picks up her workout towel and pats the back of her neck]

Back in November it moved from one end of Tisse to the other. I spent over an hour looking for it. I am just glad it did not disappear like some buildings did.

[She looks baffled actually because that's a whole building? That's a whole building that got up and moved without her noticing.]

Buildings disappeared. Like...poof. Just like that. [What the hell.] Retrospec? I can't believe they were getting rid of stuff like that and didn't think to tell people. I don't even remember it moving! Not really...but I thought about it more today when I came in and it got weird to think about.

[ Hey, guess who's trying to take care of herself by doing the same thing at Novel Idea? Chiyo's spirits actually raise upon seeing Rise immersed in one her of favorite shoujo series.

Chiyo grabs a volume of some other shoujo manga and sets up camp right next to her friend. She bumps her shoulder against Rise as a greeting before she begins reading. She doesn't want to disturb too much. Just the company is nice. ]

[This is why Chiyo's the best and she returns the shoulder bump even as she grins. Chiyo understands her more than most people and it's nice that she's not being told to move. Like. Granted, now both of them are sitting there and probably in the way but whatever.

She turns a few pages before she finally reaches a point she can look away, taking a look at what Chiyo has in her hand.]

Oh I love that one! Have you read it before? [Hi Chiyo.]

[admiringly]

[ People can choose to go down another aisle? It's fine. There isn't enough in her lately to care that much, and she cares much more about spending some time with Rise. (Except Chiyo would 100% move if asked, but until then....! These rebellious thoughts.) ]

Yeah! It's one of my favorites. I wanted to reread it because the beginning always makes me happy... when the main character gets friends, and you can see how everyone comes to learn what a great girl she is. It just makes my heart feel lighter. [ Hi, Rise. ]

[Michel, on the other hand, is out shopping for various really hilarious manga he can showcase for one of his segments. It's not that he wants to laugh at other people's art but sometimes, the yaoi is just too silly for him to ignore, or the comic just has the stupidest plot.

Plus it's a crossover with a known comic book youtube guy so you know...he figured he'd find some cool stuff they could complain about. He didn't expect to get blocked by someone reading however.]

Oh heh heh! Do you mind moving a bit so I can take a look at the comics behind you?

[She pauses a little in her reading and looks up, genuinely startled by the appearance of someone else despite the fact this is a bookstore.]

Oh! [She shakes her head and instead of getting up like a normal person she just scoots over.] Sorry. Is that better? [She also tilts her head back to see what comics Michel's actually talking about.]

[He moves closer to take a look at what the store has to offer.]

Oh geeze a lot of these are even more lewd that I imagined. Wait, are some of the guy's hands so huge?

[Minako is here to help! Rather, Koromaru is here to help, yanking his leash from Minako's hand while they're still half a block away, in order to run forward and intercept the labrador, barking for him to stop. He's not a herding dog, but he's doing his best...!]

[Oh my god why this, why are there so many dogs!! Luckily the labrador stops at the sight of another dog, happily barking and waiting for Koromaru to approach. After that, he dodges a bit while trying to get Koromaru to play with him. Rise runs up with the other two dogs though and she collects the leash of the lab, shaking her head.]

You are getting way too strong for me! [Playfully scolding. But then she glances at Koromaru and she appears to be surprised by the new boy.] ...hey there. [A grin.] You were just trying to help, huh? [But even while she's talking she's glancing around for an owner.]

[Koromaru sits and wags his tail furiously, giving her a friendly puppy smile. Yup, he's a good helper! Unlike his human, who is finally arriving on the scene in a light jog, looking fondly exasperated.]

Korochan, you really have to stop running off like that... [A glance to the young girl in front of her.] I hope he wasn't giving you any trouble?
