closed | a day of relaxation for everyone's souls
WHO: Persona peeps + Elliot
WHERE: An exceptionally nice bathhouse-spa-restaurant, reserved for a day
WHEN: March 17th, 12PM to 8PM
WHAT: Persona meeting #4 as hosted by Elizabeth, due to a conversation with Akira
WARNINGS: Make your own top levels, though everything in the third prompt will have its own section to keep things nice and neat. (did i smash rayne and hei's text together? a little)
I. TAKE A LOAD OFF
[ The spa is all paid for, as are the treatments, so why not take advantage of it? There's plenty to do, from all kinds of massages, to mud and ash baths, to a sauna, nail and hair salon, etc... Essentially if there's something for comfort, it's here, so don't think too hard about it. ]
II. GET SOME PRACTICE IN
[ Want to train? Well, today's host has a relaxed "no overworking" policy for today, but the spa does have a gym in reserve if you really, really want to do something. Whatever's in a gym is in this one, including a room that seems to usually be used for things like yoga classes or kickboxing or something? It's big, so there's plenty of room, but, like
please don't break anything. ]
III. I GUESS WE SHOULD HAVE SOME ACTUAL DISCUSSION THOUGH
[ For those that get hungry, you're in luck: the meeting proper is being held in the restaurant attached to this particularly fancy spa, at around 6pm. Eat some healthy, refreshing food (though you can technically do this whenever during your stay, this is the Official Dinner Meeting Time) and talk about the following things:
• Newbie introductions
• Team building (share/discuss/get to know each other + trust exercises)
• Memories/Retrospec shenanigans
• Items and abilities from Retrospec
• Privacy issues (Personas are free to be talked about, but other issues may have come up)
• Free discussion/advice corner
Elizabeth's also procured some whiteboards and markers, if illustrating things is easier for you, or if you want add to Yukiko's relationship board (which has made its reappearance once again). Don't worry about being overheard—connections being what they are, this room is fairly private and the waiters only come when called. Elizabeth's made arrangements with her fancy connections. ]

Well, it's not as if it came completely free, to be honest... I'm to perform some pieces I've mastered for him in return next week, but that's hardly a chore. [ ... ] I'm quite grateful he and I get along so well, to be honest. I don't particularly gel, as one might say, with most of my relatives on this side of the family... but he's been very understanding and supportive of my choices. Likely because he's more or less the same as I.

When you say perform some piece, do you mean singing? [ ... ] Do you have a large family then? My own family is... quite small by comparison to others, so people with larger families are always quite interesting. People with many siblings, or cousins and second-cousins...

[ The next question gives her pause though, and she plays with her fingers. Mm. ]
...In a way. I was an only child, and after my parents died, I lived with my mother's sister and her husband for a time... I had a few cousins there. I've stayed with grandparents on both sides before I was officially herded more towards to my father's side and passed around great-aunts and uncles and blood relations and this and that... His side of the family is quite far-removed from the one I'm on, since at some point, I simply began passing through people whose only relations to the Velveteens and their most far-reaching kin were by marriage of some sort.
[ It's not as if she keeps hush-hush about her odd rich foster child past, but it isn't something she talks a lot about, either. It doesn't come up, and she doesn't usually have to explain it. ]
I met most of my relatives through socials and such growing up, finding out who I'd be staying with next at nearly the same time... but I haven't moved from here in a little over a year, and my uncle doesn't seem keen on letting anymore of our family shuffle me about. Not that they could anymore, mind; I'm nineteen.

... So, a large family but not one that is especially close? I do not want to make assumptions about your family. It sounds strange though - I've always assumed that large families would be close, but I suppose logically speaking... that might not be the case if you're spread far around.

My family is small, but also removed. My mother does not speak with her family much nowadays.

I won't ask why she doesn't—we all have our reasons. I don't mind my family, but I wouldn't go out of my way to speak with them... My uncle generally doesn't favor them, but he attends their parties and such to, as they say, "start shit". [ ...she'll put some change in her own swear jar before someone gets on her case. ] What is your mother like?
