WHAT: Persona meeting #4 as hosted by Elizabeth, due to a conversation with Akira

I. TAKE A LOAD OFF
[ The spa is all paid for, as are the treatments, so why not take advantage of it? There's plenty to do, from all kinds of massages, to mud and ash baths, to a sauna, nail and hair salon, etc... Essentially if there's something for comfort, it's here, so don't think too hard about it. ]

II. GET SOME PRACTICE IN
[ Want to train? Well, today's host has a relaxed "no overworking" policy for today, but the spa does have a gym in reserve if you really, really want to do something. Whatever's in a gym is in this one, including a room that seems to usually be used for things like yoga classes or kickboxing or something? It's big, so there's plenty of room, but, like

please don't break anything. ]

III. I GUESS WE SHOULD HAVE SOME ACTUAL DISCUSSION THOUGH
[ For those that get hungry, you're in luck: the meeting proper is being held in the restaurant attached to this particularly fancy spa, at around 6pm. Eat some healthy, refreshing food (though you can technically do this whenever during your stay, this is the Official Dinner Meeting Time) and talk about the following things:

• Newbie introductions
• Team building (share/discuss/get to know each other + trust exercises)
• Memories/Retrospec shenanigans
• Items and abilities from Retrospec
• Privacy issues (Personas are free to be talked about, but other issues may have come up)
• Free discussion/advice corner

Elizabeth's also procured some whiteboards and markers, if illustrating things is easier for you, or if you want add to Yukiko's relationship board (which has made its reappearance once again). Don't worry about being overheard—connections being what they are, this room is fairly private and the waiters only come when called. Elizabeth's made arrangements with her fancy connections. ]

[ There's something to be said about time management, but Minato's not the right person to give that sort of lecture. He takes on a lot too, probably more than he should, but he tends to do things one at a time and eats away at his free time in the process. Even today he worked in the morning and had to move the rest of his shift to another night to make up for taking the rest of the day off, and altering schedules is always such a pain, he's going to enjoy this as much as he can. ]

It's supposed to be good for your skin. Or gripping things underwater or something. So if I pass out here, you're going to have to drag me out.

[ His first opportunity for heroics. ]

[Minato, please. It's funny how Michel thinks the exact same thing about Minato overworking himself but doesn't want to say anything about it. Part of it probably because 'rich guy telling the other to take time off' won't fly as well as he thinks it would.]

Huh is it? I didn't know what. [He looks at his wrinkled hand with newfound interest before grinning back at him.]

As long as I get to throw you in a cold pool. That's how it works right? Hot then cold so that your pores clean up or something like that...

[So heroic.]

[ That first "No." is interjected right after the word "cold" leaves Michel's mouth, followed by several more "NO"s as he continues to pitch this terrible idea. ]

I don't care about having nice pores. I care about not dying of shock.

[ He has very specific ideas of how he wants to die, and cold water is so far down the list. ]

[Michel, being Michel just continued.]

Well, the idea is that the cold wakes you up so you don't die from overheating. If you want I can just apply it to your neck, I remember some lady at the spa telling me that once when that happened to me.

[A pause.]

By the way...don't ever stay as long as you can in a sauna room on a dare. It's dangerous.

[ Just the thought of something cold touching his neck sends a shiver running down his spine and he sinks down a little further in the water so that his neck is submerged and protected. ]

Did you take that dare...

[ Is that what happened. ]

Okay so, Canada? During winter, it's really bad. But we have these places where you go into a sauna then you jump in the snow and the icy rivers. It's kinda like a tradition on some places. You aren't a real man if you haven't dipped your balls in a cold river after sweating it all out or something.

...when you're with people who you think are friends who dare you to do something, you kinda just don't think too well...

[This may have been part or started part of Michel's paranoia friendship problem.]

...they were waiting to see how long I'd last in there, but after ten minutes it becomes really dangerous. No one told me that, of course. I just wanted to impress them. Honestly...I'm kinda glad we changed countries sometimes.

[ Canada is legit terrifying and he can hardly believe that people do stuff like that. ]

Aren't friends like... "ride together, die together"? [ whatever that phrase is ] If I'm going to do something stupid, I'm going to drag you with me. Wouldn't be fair to do it alone.

[ STUPID THINGS STILL GET DONE BUT.... you're not alone. ]

[He hasn't talked about all the other canadian things he has done...]

I guess they weren't really friends, huh...with my parents and family already being popular it was more a...connection of a connection. I was just kinda hoping to know a few more people but as young teens you kinda do a lot of stupid things.

[He does smile at him tho and give him a tiny pat on his elbow which is done in slow-mo since it's under water.]

See, that's why you're the best, Minato. If I do something stupid, I know you'll do it too.

[ This is why you be shady like Minato and reveal almost absolutely nothing about yourself until after a few conversations in, or even months into a friendship. It's harder in Michel's case, though, and he recognizes that. ]

Within reason... If the cost benefit analysis shows that it's worth it, I'll do it.

[ The costs are usually huge, but the benefit is being a friend, so... There really is little thought in going along with Michel. ]

[deathboss]

[It had been a few interesting months, admittedly.]

Right, right. I get that too. I ain't about to leave you somewhere and then lock you in just for a prank...those guys are the worst type of people.

[And his online rivals. He can't help but be salty - they get nearly ten times his views and do it by being assholes. He just doesn't want to be like that.]

Gwah! Let's stop thinking about that and talk about other things...or just relax I guess. I wonder if it's safe to blow bubbles in this thing...

If you lock me in a room somewhere, I'll just take a nap. There's no fun in that.

[ SPEAKING OF SHITTY PRANKS THOUGH. A+ regain line, I am going to nab that, thank you.

He looks down at the water, in no way wanting to open his mouth in water where people have been sitting in all day. ]

Blow bubbles... With what?

[He lets out a pretty loud laugh at that one.]

Oh man...you're right. I'd probably get you out before you'd want to be let out.

[He looks down at the water when the other speaks again.]

Just our mouths...but now that you mention it, it does sound stupid...

[He's still a child at heart, okay.]

...Who knows whose butt was in here.

[Saying out loud what Minato is thinking, so at least it doesn't seem like they'll be catching anything any time soon.]

I wonder if this place has some of those spa fruitshakes or someone giving out massages...

[ In their closest vicinity, it's their butts that are in the water. Still not ideal, but Minato straightens up a little, lacing his fingers together before inverting his hands and stretching his arms and back until his shoulders pop. ]

I don't know anything about spas, and I probably won't come back. So let's go everywhere and eat and do one of everything.

[deathboss]

[Well that was...unexpected, but trying everything out sounds like something Michel would do as well. Therefore...he just stood up in a straight line, forgetting where he had been.]

YEAH! Let's maximize our stay here! Should we try to find is there's a massagist first or maybe jump into the sauna room? Maybe there's a salt room too...this place is pretty damn expensive...

[ Just going to... reach up and put a hand on Michel's shoulder and pull him back down into the water. ]

What's a salt room?

[ Massage and sauna sound like places he would fall asleep in, so they have to figure out the order for their plan of attack. ]

[deathboss]

[Wait why is he pulling him down--oh right woops.]

Well it's mostly new age shit to be honest, but the idea is the room has salt crystals all over it, so you nap in there for a tiny bit and the bad energy gets oozed out or something. Plus the rocks are warmed up so it's like sleeping on hard stepping stones.

[compendiem]

That sounds painful and fraudulent.

[ ... ]

[deathboss]

OKAY!

[He gets up again, raising a fist into the air.]

Let's get our bodies oiled up and salted!

[Gross.]

[ That sounds even more dangerous, especially when there's a certain p4 protag here who likes to set things on fire. But this is fine, maybe. Minato makes sure his towel is secure, glances over at Michel's to check his too with all his jumping around, and then wades over towards the edge of the pool. ]

Okay. We'll do that first, then the sauna, bake at 450 for half an hour.

[deathboss]

[He does finally get his own towel and climbs out from his side.]

Uh...sauna should only be ten minutes at a time bro. If you wanna bake for half an hour, you're gonna have to take two dips on cold water.

Can't we just order a soda or iced tea while in the sauna?

[ Bring the cold stuff inside without getting dunked into freezing cold water. ]

[deathboss]

I...probably not because I'm sure people aren't mature enough to handle it and sometimes leave it in there..

[He shrugs.]

But this is a rich place and it's paid, right? Maybe we can bend the rules. ..

[compendiem]

Yeah. If we get in trouble, we'll just apologize.

[ Instead of following the rules in the first place, just break them and sorries make things all better, apparently.

It'll be fine.

Minato finds a vending machine somewhere and grabs two cans of coke so they can bring these metal, pressurized cans into the sauna, and maybe it isn't a little problem why drinks are banned. ]

[deathboss]

[Pffft it won't matter if they open them right?]

...let's get some water bottles too!

[ It'll be fine. Minato hands Michel the soda so he can press the buttons for the water too. It's fancy ~seltzer water~ ]
