I. TAKE A LOAD OFF
[ The spa is all paid for, as are the treatments, so why not take advantage of it? There's plenty to do, from all kinds of massages, to mud and ash baths, to a sauna, nail and hair salon, etc... Essentially if there's something for comfort, it's here, so don't think too hard about it. ]

II. GET SOME PRACTICE IN
[ Want to train? Well, today's host has a relaxed "no overworking" policy for today, but the spa does have a gym in reserve if you really, really want to do something. Whatever's in a gym is in this one, including a room that seems to usually be used for things like yoga classes or kickboxing or something? It's big, so there's plenty of room, but, like

please don't break anything. ]

III. I GUESS WE SHOULD HAVE SOME ACTUAL DISCUSSION THOUGH
[ For those that get hungry, you're in luck: the meeting proper is being held in the restaurant attached to this particularly fancy spa, at around 6pm. Eat some healthy, refreshing food (though you can technically do this whenever during your stay, this is the Official Dinner Meeting Time) and talk about the following things:

• Newbie introductions
• Team building (share/discuss/get to know each other + trust exercises)
• Memories/Retrospec shenanigans
• Items and abilities from Retrospec
• Privacy issues (Personas are free to be talked about, but other issues may have come up)
• Free discussion/advice corner

Elizabeth's also procured some whiteboards and markers, if illustrating things is easier for you, or if you want add to Yukiko's relationship board (which has made its reappearance once again). Don't worry about being overheard—connections being what they are, this room is fairly private and the waiters only come when called. Elizabeth's made arrangements with her fancy connections. ]

Is it? I would be interested in seeing it. Is there a reason it's called the Velvet room?

There's this nice couch in the middle of the room. Real comfortable. I think it's covered with velvet.

[ And so is every other aspect of the room, kind of cringy but easy on the eyes once you let everything blur together. Igor's couch is his favorite part of the room, and the most important and relevant part. ]

The everything. I like the Velvet Room, but not everybody felt the same way.

[ He talked to Angela who felt like it was a place she didn't belong; he talked to Akira whose room was a literal prison. But Minato's always liked his room, the couch and the slight inertial pressure that comes from constantly ascending. ]

Is there a reason that people wouldn't like it...?

[ He... has no idea what it's really like. The descriptions are vague, other than "blue" and "velvety". ]

It's very blue. And velvety. Feels weird if you rub it the wrong way. Sometimes I'm afraid the room's going to crash.

I'm almost afraid to ask but... why would a room crash?

It's an elevator. You can always feel the upwards momentum of the room, and the pressure weighing you down. If it stops, well...

Oh. So it is... a room, and an elevator at the same time. This sounds like an incredibly unique place.

Also a prison. But not for me, and I dunno what they look like to other people.

[ Truly unique and confusing and quite possibly isn't the same room. ]

They supposedly reflect the heart of the person who opens the door. [ In Minato's case, elevator = lazy af, probably ] What do you think yours will be like?

[ A room that adheres to the person specifically, reflecting the deepest part of themselves. Hm. ]

An artist's studio, perhaps. Something related to the arts, certainly.

[ An obvious answer to anybody who's known Yusuke longer than five seconds, but it feels too concrete to Minato. ]

I wonder.

[ He looks at Yusuke for a moment, and then turns his eyes away. ]

I guess we'll see when we get there.

[ Hm. ]

I suppose so. Or... is it more likely to show something you aren't aware of? About yourself I mean.

[ No escaping. ]

[ He shakes his head, but it's more a "I don't know" shake than a "no" one. ]

Probably easier to psychoanalyze it after you've seen it, but by then, you're biased. Mine's an elevator, but it's not like I particularly like elevators.

[ The one in the Towers, for example, in the times where the mall is so packed, he's got to stand in a tiny space with a bunch of strangers pressed against the wall and feeling like he can't breathe. It's a nightmare. ]

[ Not that he’s an expert in the field. ]

I suppose this means I would see my own rather than yours. A pity; a velvet elevator sounds interesting to say the least.

... Oh, I think I follow. Like an ordinary door, it requires a key and the key is tied to you, the individual, and your room.
