WHO: Iwai, Fai, and whoever agreed to help with healing!
WHERE: Unstoppable
WHEN: A day in March that is/was not White Day :3
WHAT: Fai asked the network for healers to help Iwai with blood loss, now it's time to actually fix him. And there's that whole vampire thing too.
WARNINGS: Other than typical vampire/blood loss stuff, not a lot. Probably some timey-wimey stuff because possible multiple healers but let's ignore that shall we.

[The paintball shop had seemed like an ideal place to meet--it's easy enough for Fai to head over there after work, it's easy for others to find, and since it belongs to Iwai it can be closed up for a brief time for privacy if necessary.

Iwai already knows to expect a visitor, which is good because Fai isn't quite there yet. He's got a ways to travel between Tribunal Terrace and the shop so the healer will probably get there first. He's on his way, though! Feel free to start without him :) ]

[ Yosuke shot Fai a text like he said he would once he left school for the day. Working part time does lead him to a schedule that's a little less cramped, though he's been spending most of his free time and energy on trying to get Yu back up to tip top shape. He also knows that Yu would want him to help other people if he could.

So here he is, showing up at the paintball shop like he promised. A weird place to meet up, but maybe it's just easier to find? He hopes that this guy's friend isn't, like, actually a homeless guy who lives out back...

Pushing open the door, he looks around. ]

[Iwai is there reading a magazine at the front counter. There's a lollipop in his mouth and he doesn't even look up from his reading material when he hears someone come in his door.]

You a healer?

[You know, just making sure this isn't a customer. Fai should be here shortly but he can at least make sure the shop is closed before then.]

[ Well, that's definitely a question that's right to the point. It makes Yosuke stand a little straighter. ]

Uh--yep! That's me. That's what I'm here for.

[ Not paint ball. ]

I'm looking for a guy named Fai...?

Not here yet.

[Yep. He's good at straight to the point.

Closing his magazine, he stands up so he can walk past the kid to go flip the sign for his shop closed and pull down the blinds. Fai will want privacy, he knows that much.]

What's your name, kid?

[There's a noise at the door in the rear of the shop, back in the section for employees only, as Fai slips in through the back. He's used to parking in the back near where Iwai parks and coming in through the back anyway, so it doesn't matter much to him that Iwai's already closed up the front of the shop.

A light, high voice calls out from the back office as he makes his way toward the sales floor.]

Foxy-chan~! I'm here! One of the healers texted, he should be here soon I think!

[ That guy isn't intimidating at all. (No, he's definitely intimidating.) He won't screw this up. ]

Yosuke--Yosuke Hanamura!

[ Totally confident. Yep.

...Wait a sec. ]

..."Foxy-chan"...?

That's me.

[Iwai goes to sit behind the counter again.]

The boyfriend of the guy asking about healers.

[Didn't you listen to Fai when he was saying he was his boyfriend and not some homeless guy Yosuke? Geeeeeez.]

He's here, Fai.

Oh good!

[After another moment he steps through the doorway to the employees area--tall and skinny, with long blond hair tied in a low ponytail and an eyepatch over his left eye. And pink shoes. They're his favorite.

He beams at both men, but makes a beeline over to Iwai to give the shop owner a kiss on the cheek before addressing the younger.]

Yosuke, right? Thank you for coming! Have you introduced yourselves already?

Boyfriend of the--

[ Oh.

Oh.

You know, for a guy who's dating another guy himself, this kind of thing shouldn't be as surprising every time as it is. Like, he shouldn't be uncomfortable, but--he well, he's working on it. ]

Uh--Y-yeah! That's me!

[ AHEM. Shuffle. ]

Just met! Haha. You've got perfect timing...

I'm Iwai.

[He leans back in his chair to relax while he watches how uncomfortable the guy is. Nervous too. Never mind the fact that he's largely responsible for that fact.

So he'll just raise a brow at him.]

Think you can handle this, kid? Ya look nervous.

[Aw, Iwai's putting on his usual grump-butt routine for the poor kid. It's this, rather than the public (?) display of affection, that Fai assumes is the issue--Iwai's an absolute sweetheart when you get to know him, but until then he can come across kind of growly. Fai screws up his mouth into a playful pout and lightly swats his boyfriend on the arm.]

Only because you're making him nervous! Be nice. He'll be fine!

[He turns his attention back to Yosuke with a big, warm smile.]

Isn't that right?

...Yeah! I mean, no! It's cool. I'm cool!

[ Nailed it.

Well, he'll walk closer so he's hot...just shouting weirdly across the shop. ]

Does that mean you're the guy who needs some help?

[He blinks at the swat. What? What did he do?

Looking back to the kid, he lets out a sigh.]

Yeah when you're the only one your vampire boyfriend can feed on it means ya end up a bit anemic.

[Hey. He doesn't know Fai's been keeping the vampire thing so under wraps okay.]

[Oh shit.

Fai freezes in place, the smile still firmly affixed to his face. He'd ended up telling a couple of people about the vampire thing after he'd asked around for healers on the network, but... Yosuke hadn't been one of them. And somehow Fai hadn't quite expected Iwai to go throwing that out there so casually.

And now they've shut poor Yosuke in the store and he's had no warning and... yeah. Fai wouldn't blame the kid one bit if he panics.

Gradually Fai's smile fades, replaced with a smaller, sheepish smile that he keeps up merely for appearances. He takes a step back, away from the two of them and back toward the doorway he'd come through a minute ago.]

I... have some things I should grab from my car, since I'll just be a third wheel anyway.

...Oh.

[ That...is not at all what imagined.

Like, who would? Vampires? Uh, gay vampires? Okay maybe he could have imagined that, but not in real life.

This. Is. ]

Uh--

[ Wow, how is he supposed to respond to this? Honestly, if anyone was a vampire, Yosuke would have pictured Mr. Grumpy. ]

This is--more...complicated than I thought. I mean--it's...this isn't some sort of secret plan to eat me, right?

[Iwai reaches out to thread his fingers with Fai's so he can't just run away again. This is something they're working on but that means keeping up with it. Letting Fai know that he's in a safe space even when they're not at home.]

No. He can only have my blood for some reason and I ain't got any powers. So this is just to see about keeping me healthy if you can manage it.

[He rubs his thumb over Fai's hand, still not letting go, well aware that Fai's not likely to pull away simply to avoid hurting him given the position he's in. It's a cheap move but he's got to do what he's got to do sometimes.]

You're safe here, kid. I give my word on that.

[His retreat hadn't exactly been hasty, since sudden movements at this point would likely only cause more anxiety for the kid even if Fai was backing away, so Iwai is easily able to catch his hand and halt his movement like magic. It's funny how well the older man knows him, even if he didn't realize right away that the vampire thing hadn't come up.

Fai shoots Iwai an anxious look before smiling sheepishly at the kid again.]

Sorry I... didn't mention that part. I was trying not to advertise it over the network. I didn't want people to panic.

[Iwai's already covered pretty much everything else, right?]

Yeah...I get why...

[ But, you know, what gets him more is just how...strangely natural this looks for them? Sure, the blond guy is clearly feeling guilty and awkward about the situation, but how the gruff guy just reaches out like it's no big deal, like it doesn't matter what the circumstances are--

--why can't he treat Yu like that?

Yosuke shakes his head. ]

Um...yeah, so--I guess...we're all on the same page now. Uh--

[ Ahem. He straightens. ]

What I can do isn't really gonna cure anything, but it might help you feel better and more energized. Is that okay?

[Wrapping an arm around Fai, he gently rubs his hip to let him know everything is okay while he listens to the kid.]

So, how long does this last? This feeling better and more energized thing. Is it something you'd have to keep doing to me every couple of weeks?

[Well... it's not ideal of course, since ideal would be somehow healing or replacing the lost blood so Iwai's body isn't damaged, but if "feeling better" is what they have on offer, it's a good start. It'll help keep the older man going until they can find a better, more permanent solution.

(Curing Fai's vampirism or finding him another blood source would probably be even more ideal, but one of those seems only vaguely less hopeless than the other.)]

Anything you can do. We'd really appreciate it.

[Fai's pretty sure he speaks for both of them on this. And even though he's generally pretty OK with public displays of affection, since it's just the three of them in the room he tones it down to leaning against Iwai for the moment.

Sure Iwai's the one losing blood and all, but Fai's a twig. He can handle it.]

Yeah. It's not, like, a permanent kind of thing. I used it to help heal my arm when I broke it and it really sped up the process--and that was before I knew what I was doing. But since it's supposed to be support stuff in battle, if you keep getting "hurt", then...

[ The implication is probably clear enough. ]

I guess it depends. Is this, like, a daily thing...?

Every couple of weeks. That's how long we've figured out is okay.

[He can definitely handle Fai leaning on him and he holds him with one arm even as he talks to the kid. Because yeah...he's not bothered with showing everyone just how he feels about this guy here. This is his boyfriend and he'll show everyone that fact.]

Is there something we can give ya for this? It's a lot to ask a guy to keep showing up to redo this.

[And here they'd been talking about just "feeling better," but if the kid's healing can speed up the recovery process for a broken bone, surely it should be able to help Iwai's body replace the blood he's been losing, right? Even a little faster would be better than nothing at all.]

Ha, I wish I'd known you back in August! That would have really come in handy~!

[For his multiple broken ribs and all. Good times, good times.

Fai nods along with Iwai's offer.]
