White Day
WHO: Iwai and Fai
WHERE: Penthouse suite
WHEN: White Day
WHAT: Mom and dad deserve a date night
WARNINGS: Innuendo a-hoy! But otherwise it'll be good. Promise.
The moment they stepped into the suite Iwai knew he was going to have to find a way to thank Kenta. Because damn everything was nice. It was like a little apartment and even had a dinner already setup. He didn't know what was under the trays but he was sure it was bound to be damn good. No place like this would offer low class food. Least that was what he was figuring as he set their bags down.
He'd called ahead all the same and smiled when he saw what was waiting on the table. A bouquet of white roses. Those he went for right away and brought them over to Fai.
"Here. I had these sent here so they'd be a surprise."

"Here. I had these sent here so they'd be a surprise."

He was just wandering back toward the dining area when Iwai caught him first. With a bouquet of roses.
Momentarily at a loss for words (for a change), Fai carefully took the bouquet from Iwai. His cheeks were already starting to turn pink as he brought the flowers up to smell them. And then he shifted the bouquet to one hand to throw the other arm around Iwai's neck in a hug.
no subject
"Take it ya like 'em then."
Which was an understatement and he knew it. But he was in a good mood and that meant a little bit of teasing was in order.
no subject
"They're lovely, thank you." He kissed Iwai on the cheek and grinned. "I wonder if they have a vase in here somewhere?"
no subject
He gave his temple a kiss then let him go so that way he could go hunt for something. What he found was something that had what looked like crystals in it. That would work. Taking a spare towel, he dumped the beads into it so they wouldn't get lost then filled the vase with water which he brought to the table so Fai could put his flowers in it.
"This should do it."
Probably could have just called down to ask for something but eh he was fine doing it this way.
no subject
(And the small, naughty voice in the back of his mind insisted that with Kenta paying for the place, the hotel wasn't likely to make a fuss about it anyway. But that wasn't a good way to look at things and Fai knew it.)
With the flowers now in water, Fai carefully arranged the stems and placed the whole thing on the table. "There! Now we can look at them and smell them while we have dinner! Mmm, and it smells really good too! What did they bring us?"
no subject
So his conclusion ended up being.
"A chicken thing with a vegetable thing. I think. And bread."
no subject
"You are so cute!" He reached over to cup Iwai's face between both of his hands, wearing that stupidly fond expression he often wore when he was around Iwai, and planted a kiss squarely on the other man's nose.
no subject
"What did I do?" Yes he looked decidedly baffled as he stared at the man kissing him on the nose.
no subject
"It doesn't matter," he chuckled, shaking his head slightly. "It doesn't matter why you're adorable, it just matters that you are adorable!" He leaned forward to give Iwai a peck on the lips and then patted him on the chest, grinning, before turning just enough to get a decent look at the meal on the table.
"Ah, that looks like poulet à la provençale! I haven't had this in ages, no wonder it smelled so good!"
no subject
"So...it's French?"
He figured that was...a safe assumption?
He was so confused right now.
no subject
Fai just grinned and nodded. "Yes, it's French. And it should be very tasty, if they made it correctly! So you should probably sit your very cute butt down in one of those chairs and have some of it before it gets cold~"
For emphasis, he reached around to pat said very cute butt, much like Iwai tended to do to him. Turnabout and all that.
no subject
He went to sit down like he'd been told then reached out to pull Fai onto his lap. Hey, being the only one really eating here just meant that his boyfriend would get to be close while he did. Made sense to him anyway. Besides, he doubted Fai was going to mind a whole lot.
Taking up his fork, he went to get some of the food onto it. "Let's see how this French thing is."
Yeah he so wasn't going to try to pronounce the actual name of the dish.
no subject
As soon as he realized what Iwai was doing, however, Fai grinned and wrapped his arms loosely around the other man's neck. Leave it to his incredible boyfriend to know how to make a six-foot tall man, the same height as himself, feel small and cute.
"All French things are amazing," Fai said matter-of-factly, suppressing his grin in an effort to seem authoritative. "You should know this by now~!"
no subject
He chuckled a bit and put the bite of food into his mouth. Damn. It was good. Not that he was surprised by this considering the fact that Fai knew his food.
"Alright. I'll admit I ain't met a French thing I haven't liked so far."
Which meant that, yep, he liked it.
no subject
(It didn't smell quite as good as Iwai, but the poor chef downstairs couldn't be held accountable for that.)
Fai tried a small bite of the dish and hummed his approval. "Perfect! Maybe I'll make this for us sometime at home, I'll bet the kids would like it."
The next bite speared on the fork was held up for Iwai, and Fai didn't look like he had any intention of relinquishing the fork for his boyfriend to go back to feeding himself.
no subject
Chuckling, he parted his lips to accept the bite.
"I think they would too," he said after he swallowed. "They really love your cooking a lot."
no subject
It meant getting to care for the person he loved the most, and it meant getting to sit in his foxy boyfriend's lap for the rest of the meal.
Score.
He laughed and turned to spear another bite. "I don't know, I think the boys would eat anything vaguely edible as long as I put enough of it in front of them. Teenage boys don't seem much different these days from when I was that age."
no subject
It was a wildly different culture there compared to here. Even coming here in his twenties had taught him that. But he liked it here honestly. There really wasn't a day he regretted coming here. Especially since he'd started dating Fai.
Eating another bite, he chewed thoughtfully then swallowed.
"I do know Noah likes to make sure he gets home so he can eat your food though."
no subject
Still, he smiled at the mention of Noah. "He's a good boy. Even if I desperately want to take him shopping and get some color into his wardrobe. And shove a bar of soap in his mouth while I'm at it!"
no subject
"I think his mouth is fine. Though I'm pretty sure you just wanna take us all shopping."
no subject
As it was, he laughed aloud at the idea that he probably just wanted to take all of his little family shopping, having to duck his head against Iwai's neck so as not to be rude and laugh open-mouthed while Iwai's dinner was right there. (Did vampires still have germs? More things to ponder.)
"Ah, you're definitely right about that! One of these days I'll have to take Sakura-chan shopping, although we'll probably break the bank finding cute things for her! And you, Mister Sexy-pants~" Fai lifted his head and grinned. "I'm going to take you out shopping someday too. You'd be like a really big, sexy Ken-doll for me to dress up!"
no subject
"The hell is a Ken-doll?"
Seriously. He had no idea.
no subject
Fai just thought it was really cute, honestly.
"It's like a Barbie doll, sweetheart," he said, the obvious amusement in his voice lacking any trace of teasing this time. "Ken is Barbie's boyfriend, I think. It's a boy doll you put different clothes on. So you'd be my own pretty doll to try different clothes on."
no subject
"So does this mean you'll dress yourself up to go with my outfits?"
He'd say he'd dress him up but honestly he'd just put Fai in the clothes he had already because hell if he understood fashion.
no subject
(But of course it was Fai, so there was definitely still some lingering guilt there too.)
"Hm, I'll bet one of these other dishes is dessert! I wonder what they left for us?"
no subject
Or know of. This place was fancy as hell after all. Still, Iwai couldn't say he minded since he was here with Fai and the food was good. Though honestly the company was still the best part of all of it.
"Wanna lift the thing and find out what it is?"
no subject
As soon as Iwai had taken the current bite of dinner off the fork, Fai sat the utensil on the edge of the plate to free his hand up. He had to lean a bit to reach the last covered dish, sitting side-saddle on Iwai's lap as he was, but he shot a sly look back at Iwai as he did so--though he managed to restrain himself from wiggling while he was at it.
It was a near-Herculean effort, mind. To keep himself from trying to distract Iwai before dinner was finished.
(Give yourself a little mental pat on the back there, Fai.)
When he managed to snag the handle on the last lid, he gasped in delight at what lay beneath.
"Cheesecake!" Bless the room service staff here, honestly.
no subject
"Tastes good."
Yep. He was a super classy guy and not about to apologize for it.
no subject
Setting the lid to the side and out of their way, Fai proceeded to follow Iwai's lead and dredge his own scarred fingertip through the delicious filling. He only took a little taste from the edge, though, then held the rest out to Iwai.
"That is good! It's a good thing I don't have to worry so much about calories anymore!" Because vampire and not eating real food much anymore and all. "I guess you'll just have to work out a little extra this week, hmm~?"
no subject
"Why? I'm gonna work off the calories when we hit the sheets later."
There wasn't any sort of joking tone to his voice either. He knew what he was about.
no subject
(God only knows how. Hidden reserves of willpower, apparently.)
"You think so~?" Iwai's tone may not have been joking, but there was a teasing edge to Fai's voice as he asked, his good eye peering imperiously at the other man. "And who says there's going to be any of that, mister? Just because you give a guy flowers and sit him on your lap, suddenly he's just going to fall into bed with you~?"
no subject
"Yeah I know you better than that."
He was amused at Fai pretending like he wasn't ready to hop into bed with him at the slightest suggestion though. It was cute.
no subject
But at the same time it was a good lead-in to fussing over his boyfriend. Scarred fingertips (now clean of cheesecake) scritched along the stubble on Iwai's jawline. "You think just because you're handsome and sweet and thoughtful and amazing that I'm going to fall for you?"
As if he hadn't already done that months ago. But Iwai deserved to hear the laundry list of wonderful things about himself from time to time, and Fai had no problem repeating it.
no subject
"Not sure about all of those statements but I know you already fell for me."
Getting Fai in bed really was not hard at all. Generally he just had to give him a look. Really it was nice.
