[on the other side of the pit, the bull makes its presence known by clanging against the iron bar door holding it back. Oh right. They're gonna have to fight him.]

well. eren wasn’t good at thinking things through anyway. the bull charges, and eren grabs elliot in place next to him. he doesn’t think to shift completely, but instinct does serve him well. teeth digging deep into his hand, he creates a thousand snaps, an explosive boom. he creates a quarter of a titan, a shield made out of rib cage and some fibers of muscle to hold them together, digging deep into stadium grounds. at least elliot isn’t trapped, he could step in and out of it as much as he wants. eren’s on the outside, probably a little dazed, and there goes the bull, circling them wildly through the steam.
at least it’s a good show, even if eren hadn’t meant for it to be. ]

But unfortunately, they are in the middle of a bull fight. As much as he wants to panic, he knows he rather not die. So he reaches into his bag, and pulls out his staff- extending it out to its full length.
Then he takes a look around. It's hard to see through the steam and all the fibers of the muscles. But it's still easy to make out a giant bull, circling around them. He's worried about Eren being outside the titan, but the bull took priority right? Stop the bull, and neither of them get hurt.
So he concentrates on channeling a spell and the moment the bull is running near one of the openings? He'll let loose the spell. A giant wall of water forms in front of him, and then goes flying like a tidal wave straight at the bull- with enough force to hurt and knock it back as more steam gets created in the air as the water collides against the bull's firey skin
He'll shout to get his dazed boyfriend's attention]

eren can only hear his ears ring, his vision slowed and blurred until the imagery around him picks up speed. he blinks, blinks more, the gasps when he finds himself stuck to the outside of the literal meat shield, wedged between partial vertebrae and flesh. there’s more bone than muscle, keeping the shield at lot less hot than an entire titan would be.
he’s awake. he’s out of the water.
he tries to move, legs free, but where he bit his hand is firmly laced with live tissue. at least, when he hears elliot, it’s more than a good sign. ]
—I’m fine!
[ he’s about to anchor his weight with his knees before he stops, remembering something. not only has he done this before, but—
if he ripped it off now, it’d disintegrate. he’d build up a steam storm and could make it worse for the both of them. ]
If I rip myself off, it’s going to break!
[ they need a plan. ]

[He doesn't want Eren to become an even more literal metal shield than he already is. Elliot meanwhile is pacing around, looking through all the openings of the ribs and flesh to try to see the bull]
I don't think I can get close enough to cast a sleep spell without leaving the titan, and I don't think we have time for me to scan it. My elemental spells might work, but I don't know which ones would be effective. Got any ideas?
[Fire and lightning's out, for sure. Wind might just fan the flames. Earth might help, but with how fast the bull moves, there's a chance it'll miss. Water and Ice, well, it depends on how weak it was to water.
He did have other elements that Eren probably knows about. Light, time, moon power - but none of them have been tested in battle yet. Who knows how that'll turn out. CHOOSE WISELY EREN. ]

maneuver gear would’ve been excellent here, an excellent distraction, but now more than ever does eren feel powerless, even when he’s provided protection. temporary protection. eren thinks on it, hard and fast, the hotness of titan flesh burning into his skin.
the bull seems less bright as it trots and swings its head. its fire seems to have dropped, slowing it down, and with a few forced sparks it flames back to life. he can see it from here.
elements . . . they had elements. eren, perhaps, wasn’t that good at these in the past life, but— eren has training. eren had study. eren had something even greater that made him reliable— he pulls responsibility to him. he’s crazy, and people would still hear him out. ]
—It’s gonna vaporize. [ he says it loud, and realizing. vapor is actually— ] Can you use that? As wind, or as actual water.

[He asks, clarifying. BECAUSE YOU KNOW, THATS GOOD TO KNOW. He's got his staff ready, to throw a spell at]
I-I can only summon more water, I can't control what's here. But I could push the vapor with wind?

[ he is thinking on that again, yes. especially when the bull didn’t go rushing through the dust cloud when it was still there. he doesn’t know bulls, but it’s good to know this now. right. okay— ]
I’m going to tear myself off so you can move— it won’t come if it can’t see. [ he already positions himself to rip his hand out of the heated flesh, looking at elliot from between the crack between bone and muscle . ] I’ll tell you where to throw the water, and you can move the vapor wherever you need it.
[ he’s ready to act on that, too. but one last thing. ]
I’ll look out for you, I promise.
[ trust me. he’ll kick the bull flying before it got close enough to hurt elliot. ]

But so was leaving Eren exposed like this. They had to do something. And he did trust Eren. So he swallows and say with nerves clear on his voice]

[He guesses what direction is at 2'clock, since he can't see what way Eren's looking. He can only hope they are thinking the same way. But he'll channel his spell once more, and set off another large wall of water, flying out to crash into and hit whatevers in its path]
