OPEN - Info Sharing Pt 2
TEXT;
soooo...hi! Dia and I were thinking...now that everybody’s back, we were kind of hoping everybody could get together and kind of cover the ground of what the heck just happened? everybody got split up and everything and it sounded like a big mess, but there’s a lot us who have no idea what’s even going on since we just got on this dumb network anyway.
also!! recollé high school students, check in please? we were thinking about maybe getting everybody together to kind of make a support network, compare notes, catch people up to speed, that kind of thing! Dia can talk about that a little more when we do an actual meeting too.
so that’s it! high school students, come meet us in the student council room Thursday afternoon after school! and everybody else...maybe...a group meeting for everyone in the high school gym at 5pm? 6pm? 6pm sounds good but if you can’t be there right at 6 we will be there for a while and people can catch up!
we’ll even provide pizza. hopefully we’ll see you there!
Who: Everyone in Recollé
When: backdated to 3/8 in the evening
What: Group meeting! Info share! Stuff like that!
[There are tables folded out with piping hot pizzas stacked high, plates, napkins and sodas spread out as well. The bleachers are pulled out and the crowd can sit wherever they want. When it looks like the last of the crowd begins to settle, Rise holds onto the microphone she has set up and begins to speak.]
Hi! Thanks for coming. [Oh god please kill her and please maybe don’t look at her.] I’m Rise, and this is Dia, and we totally appreciate everybody coming so we can get everybody on the same page.
Um...we know that a bunch of people went to four different places and the rest of us were supposed to make roads to go to those places ourselves. And the mayor and everybody else got held hostage and a bunch of people saved them! But it feels like we’re missing details? So…
[...yeah, never mind, she’s quickly passing the mic to Dia to finish up the their little intro so people can get themselves organized. ]
Thank you, Rise. Hello, everyone, my name is Dia Kurosawa. Both Rise and I are new to the app and would like to help out however we can, but we can’t do it without your help. [ she nods firmly. ] We’ll now be moving to the first item on our itinerary.
NEW REGIONS
[At the front of the bleachers and down on the floor (and most importantly out of the way of the pizzas) there are four large boards up with the names “PESGARE”, “RESPATRUM”, “BOSUMA” and “MAGATUS” written on them. There are plenty of sticky notes and markers available, too, for people who want to write notes or anything. In addition there’s a projection screen and a set-up so people can mirror their phone/laptop screens if they have pictures or anything they want to share. Do you have information about one of the four places? Share it with the group!]
CITY-WIDE
[Likewise, there’s a fifth board with a map of Recollé along with four circles to indicate the new regions. Dia is here to provide a brief recap of what happened in the city last month: ]
In the city, a number of things took place. Most importantly, the Mayor and others in power were all kidnapped and held hostage in the subway tunnels. A group of Retrospec members rescued them and brought them to safety, and were honored during the Founder’s Day parade.
We were also tasked with making a map connecting the city to the new regions, and built connecting roads to them as well.
Finally, there appeared to be a lot of Valentine’s Day related effects taking over the city. For instance, people were randomly paired up and physically attached to each other for twenty four hours. It was...an experience.
Needless to say, we’ve been keeping pretty busy ourselves.
[ she sounds a little huffy when she says it, but regardless, there’s your short recap, everyone! ]
If anyone else wants to elaborate or discuss anything I may have overlooked, please feel free to do so.
MEMORY DISCUSSIONS/Q&A
[At some point, both Rise and Dia take a step back and open the floor to questions and storytelling. Rise gets up and writes “MEMORIES?” in giant letters on the whiteboard at the front of the room before she turns and tosses the marker at whoever’s willing to catch it. Go ahead and take the lead. Got a memory to share? Do you want to talk about how your memories sync up with others? What do you have to say today, Recollé?]

[ So uh, Dia? Or well anyone, but she's doing it for Dia? Is someone obnoxiously cheering and whistling from here in the back perhaps to deliberately be obnoxious? Someone sure is ]
City-Wide
[ Natalia actually chimes in here, raising her (left, prosthetic) hand and: ]
Well, there's also those heart stones, right? The pieces of our souls? But everyone got those, so if anyone wants to listen, I've also heard a few things from a meeting I had with Mr. Carlisle early last month.
Namely, that the mapping of the paths between the new regions ... their main point was "making connections" between the regions. Because at the time they were drifting apart from Recollé, and the pathways that the people who went there took were incredibly specific. The paths needed to be established in order to keep them in place and isolate other problems from the storm... or so he said.
Oh, and also the rest of the world is still there, but it's "on another layer" of the world.
Memories
[ Nope. ]
city-wide
You met with him already? [But anyway.] What does that mean, "on another layer"? If that's true then where are we?
no subject
[ . . . ]
But... probably another layer? I'm not sure he knows it too well, I asked him if it was more like a cake or an onion and he just was like "yes."
no subject
no subject
[ See, someone understands metaphors. ]
But anyway, he says all the stuff outside of Recolle does still exist it's just we've not been able to talk to them because of the layers thing.

[ She gestures with her left (prosthetic) arm to the four regions names up there. ] At the time, that was a bigger deal. The implication I got was that if we back in the city didn't help with the drifting problem, the people who went out to those regions might not have been able to come back.

[ So.
She's all smiles, but there's a deeply frustrated edge to it. ]
no subject
no subject
[ :T ]

She doesn't know? She shrugs a little, pulling her arms in on herself. If they're on a different "layer," then is there anything to be done? Other than dig up or down or ... whatever. ]

[ I mean... she'll try? They should try? But shrug again as she makes her way back to sitting down proper for the meeting's sake. ]

So Carlisle tells me that the schedule is going to keep up - more people will be put on the app next month. In light of that, I'm trying to update that Guide I made [ Which is mostly all digital, insofar as there ate any physical notes they're at home. ] both with whatever we'll discuss here and with any information I got wrong on there or additions which need updating.
But. If anyone wants to volunteer their own personal notes, or to re-write or update any of the sections? Obviously, this whole thing's for everyone, not my vanity, so I'm not opposed to that. Probably better to get it less centralized if I end up off the app.
New Regions
[ Elda signs her him under MAGATUS but then she knows Minako was compiling everything...? She's frowning a little, adjusting her sunglasses. She doesn't even know how to begin with, ]
Soul-energy, seriously...
[ Muttering that. ]
Memories
[ And she writes VAMPIRES up there.
Who else knows vampires??? ]
Guide Updating.
I'll also give you photocopies of, and narrations of, the letters we received.
[She has the perfect narrator, too.]
no subject
[ ... Would it be - yeah it would sound rude to clap. oop. ]
no subject
[A pause.]
Actually, I think I'll make Gil read the whole guide, if you're good with that. Make it ADA compliant for the people who can't see, or read, or for whatever reason.
[Plus dramatic readings by Gilgamesh.]

I've got the equipment to handle all of that, so just let me know when a major revision comes through and I can have him read the revised sections and splice them in.
no subject
[ She's counting on her fingers ]
Oh, and that one man's hacking date.
no subject
[Pausing, she asks.]
Who hacked what now?
no subject
[ she means this. She could pull it up on her phone. ]
no subject
[Real weird. She's pretty sure she never checked her recordings of town, and makes a note to see if it's the same for her equipment.]
It doesn't apply to Wiffle Waffle at least. I have a photo of myself and a friend there.
no subject
[ Shrug...s ]
But then there's a few other little things that Iunno how they fit in anywhere. Like back in Magatus, in the end all the werewolf leads are sort of tend ends in light of what was going on with the black wolf.

However, I do have a bit of info from Zee. About how Retrospec views this stuff. Let me send you a <href=https://recollecters.dreamwidth.org/8329.html?thread=6852233#cmt6852233>transcript.
[Bing!]

[ Or she just memorized it. That's impressive too, really. ]
ugh html
no subject
[ She plays with with her bangs a little. ] If anything, I feel silly to not have done that.
no subject
Well, now you'll remember. It's on your mind now.
no subject
[ Document Everything huh. Eesh she should be more used to that, especially after relying on everyone else's hobbies of that in making the guide ]
