I. Founder's Day Petting Zoo (Now with real horses and Pokemon!) [Recolle][Founder's Day]

[Despite everything that happened last month, it was a relief that everyone has a chance to enjoy Founder's Day despite being a month late. It was even better at this year's petting zoo. Not only there were Chocobos like last year, but there are now horses for everyone to ride on, which was sort of normal.

Not only that, the main attraction for this year was the appearance of Augustine's Pokemon. Because he got Feu and Bulle a few months ago, his only worries about it are controlling the kids from unknowingly hurting them as he was aware that they think that the Pokemon are just normal things in Recolle. Whether you're here for the horses and Chocobos or for the Pokemon, Augustine is there to help out your animal (or Pokemon) needs.]

II. While Augustine's Away... [Apprassage][A Day Before Founder's Day]

[It's been a busy day for Augustine as he helps out with the animal shelter volunteers and other people in preparing for this year's Founder's Day. He was so busy that he has to take Modeste out of her Poke Ball to help him out with some heavy workload such as boxes, seats, and some props for the floats.

Unknown to him, his frog and fox Pokemon came out of their Poke Balls on their own and without their owner's knowledge, they split up to wander around Apprassage. For Feu (the fox Pokemon), she is just exploring out of curiosity. For Bulle (frog Pokemon), it's just another excuse for him to prank some other residents around the area.

Though, the good news is that Augustine is also in Apprassage, so...]

III. Trading Time! [Pesgare]

[It’s been a while since he returned to Pesgare after that small adventure last month. He had to use his free time after work to travel back there to relax and mingle with the locals. Of course, he didn’t forget the marketplace as he brought some of his old books that were left hanging back in his apartment. He knew it’s about time to replace these books for something new, so what better way to do so is to trade some new ones that he found during his stay.

Though, if you encounter him by chance, he might drop his books out of shock and picks them up after recovering from it.]

O-Oh... I’m really sorry. I should have watched where I'm going...

It might seem odd that the two of them were both so quick to come back here after they spent a month in Pesgare, but here is Togusa, along with Augustine. But who may have startled Augustine, instead, is little Daisuke, Togusa's puppy who he has brought with him this time for some sea air. The dog sees someone he recognizes, but is far too excited about the fact that he is getting some time out with 'Dad.' So he barks playfully as he runs up to Augustine.

"Oh, geez!" Togusa tries to reach out and snag one of the books, but misses. "Sorry, sorry!"

Daisuke successfully avoids all of the fallen books, only to look up with a big doggy smile as if he wasn't the cause of everything.

Despite the shock that he had, Augustine managed to regain his composure as he picked up most of the books. He might be surprised at Togusa's appearance, though he felt he may have a reason to be here since he met him last month. However, he was surprised at his dog's appearance.

"Togusa, I didn't expect you to be in Pesgare. I guess you missed the sights in here, huh?

Togusa helps get the rest of the books, and stacks them up for Augustine. "I was eager to come back, to see if there was anything else that needed to be done after the storm? But I'm glad to see they don't need me."

Daisuke plops right back down, looking up at Augustine expectantly, with an occasional slow tail wag. Pets?

Of course, Augustine wouldn't say no to a cute pup like Daisuke as he pets him from head to his back.

"Well, I'm glad that Retrospec called us here. Without us, we wouldn't see a peaceful town like this one."

Yesss pets! Daisuke lovingly rubs into Augustine's hands. He is a good dog-petter, which is all it takes to get Daisuke permanently on his side.

"I'm still wondering why we couldn't see it earlier. Retrospec confirmed that it's been here the whole time, but for some reason, we couldn't see it or reach it."

"Yeah. From what I know, Recolle is located in the United States. But I guess that dome somehow changed the locations due to its unreality storm from 2 months ago."

As he said this, he didn't stop petting the little dog. He doubts that he wants him to stop.

"Maybe. It might be a little more nuanced than that. That dome was supposed to protect this city from the unreality storm. When we asked Zee about it, he kept making references to us accidentally syncing up with those locations, instead of the other way around. I'm still not sure what he meant, I had more important things to ask him about when I spoke to him."

Daisuke, meanwhile, is in puppy heaven, flopping over on his side. Yes, this one will do, Togusa, keep this one around.

"Still, we've done our parts here. Besides, this town might be very good neighbors to Recolle until then."

However, his voice turned solemn as he starts thinking about his relatives outside the city.

"But this makes me worried about my brother and the others back in some of the cities we know."

[The petting zoo is probably the one positive thing Sakura can take away from the holiday, hence why she's quick to sequester herself away between the horses and chocobo, determined to ignore the embarrassment that was her getting her medal.

The pokemon are a surprise, however! She's only familiar with Silver's, so there's some measure of uncertainty when she decides to approach them. It'd make no sense for them to be aggressive if other people are being allowed to pet them, but... still. Are they dangerous?]

[As she approaches them, the fox and frog Pokemon noticed her and happily runs up to her legs. They quickly jumped up and down gleefully until Modeste notices them and picks them up to stop pestering the young woman.]

[... Oh no, they're so cute? Sakura could spent an entire day with those two trying to scale up her legs, though she giggles at Modeste's approach.]

... Oooh, you must be the pokemon, yes? That Augustine-san mentioned?

[Modeste was surprised that a stranger like Sakura didn't run away with just her appearance. No matter, she is just happy to see a new face as she tries to nuzzle her out of glee.

In any case, it was a yes to Sakura's question.]

[If it doesn't look of this world, that's 20+ affection points right out the gate. Sakura giggles when nuzzled, reaching to carefully pet Modeste on the... beak? Nose? Nostril area? She isn't sure what that classifies as, but she'll keep petting if the pokemon likes it.]

Aw, you're so sweet... like a gentle giant?

[She's only 5'1", so that's super gentle giant from her perspective.]

[Modeste growled in delight as soon she petted her snout. However, this makes the smaller Pokemon frowned at this as they cried out to Sakura. It seems that they want pets, too.]

[Come now, you guys, she's only got two hands! After a moment's giggle, she gives Modeste one last pat on the snout before she bends down and starts tickling the heads of the other pokemon]

Sorry, sorry. I shouldn't be ignoring you guys, either.

[Their frowns faded just as Sakura tickles their heads, laughing before they jumped into her arms. At the same time, Augustine notices this as he approaches them with a smile.]

Looks like you're having a good time with the young ones.

They're little darlings!

[Half-covered in pokemon, Sakura chirps from the pile and smiles at Augustine's approach.]

I'm glad I finally got a chance to meet them properly... What are their names again?

[As he starts to speak, the small Pokemon are busy nuzzling at the young woman.]

I named the young fox Fiu while I named the mischievous frog Pokemon Bulle.

Fiu and Bulle, huh...

[Immediately the pokemon respond with more nuzzling at hearing their names from her. It's gonna take all of her efforts not to swoop them up into a bear hug]

Did you receive them from Retrospec as well? [Because if not she'd like to order 20 each.]

Yes. But unlike when I got Modeste, I got them from the mailbox.

I'm just glad those Retrospec people took care of them like before.

Oh yes, that's true... they would've required care even before you got them.

[A hum]

Do you expect to get anymore?

Judging from my previous memories, I think I may able to get more of these creatures.

Though it depends if they were willing to do so.

I don't see why they wouldn't give them to you.

In a sense, they're already yours... or were yours...?

So it's like they're returning your pets.

From what we know, I think so. Though I still have doubts that they belonged to my other self.

Still, I'll take care of them just like any animals in the shelter.

You have quite a variety, it seems.

[She means the petting zoo more than the local shelter Augustine frequents, nodding out in a general direction]

Even horses! And this is my first time seeing chocobo up close, actually.

You could say that. And we made sure that these animals are well taken of.

[Augustine smiled as he pets a Chocobo when it approaches him.]

Well, they might be strange at first. But once you meet them up in close, they are actually harmless.

They're very pretty.

[Majestic, in fact, despite being little more than very large birds. Sakura will reach out to touch the chocobo's beak if it allows it.]

And you can ride them as well?

Why yes. I rode one before and while it's a bit... different than the horses, they were the same experience.

Are you interested in riding one?

... I wouldn't mind, but...

[Suddenly looking at the bird with a bit more apprehension.]

Is it docile?

Why yes. In fact, this one is actually calm and sociable to humans. It also likes it if you pet on its beak.

[Looking encouraged by the professor's words, Sakura will reach back out and pet the chocobo's beak, smiling when it dips its head so she can reach it.]

Aww... it's so sweet. I feel a little bad being afraid of it.

[As Augustine said, the Chocobo became delighted when Sakura pets it's beak as it gives out a happy cry.]

It's alright. I think it likes it as well.
