[semi-open] you are sixteen going on seventeen
WHO: Hinata Aoi and everyone who has an invitation, which is basically anyone he knows ♪
WHERE: The Stardust
WHEN: March 5th, in the afternoon
WHAT: ♪ It's a birthday party ♪
WARNINGS: A lot of glitter.
[ The Stardust is used to hosting after-school birthday parties and, thanks to a very gracious donor, some time for it's already been scheduled and paid for! For the rollerskating area at least, because Hinata wanted a roller-skate party so he's getting it.
...You will unfortunately have to either bring your own skates or pay for rented ones yourself. February was hard on poor workers.
Aside from rollerskating, The Stardust offers a lot of other things to do, too—there's the miniature arcade after all, where you can win some prizes (and maybe a birthday gift if you completely forgot to grab one—last minute gifts are still gifts!) and the snack bar if you want something quick (though filling up on this is not recommended, since the party itself has food). Maybe you'll even be lucky to see Comet the Orca on his break away from the ice skating rink and get a picture with him, who knows. (Don't harass the orca.)
For the party itself, there's a room reserved for celebrations, and it's decorated exactly how you'd think it'd be: a lot of pink, a lot of glitter, a lot of sparkly ornaments, a lot of tinsel and paper chains, balloons... There's food prepared and set up on tables pushed to one wall too—they're all served in cute animal-themed serving dishes, and while a large part of it tends to be traditionally Japanese, there's a couple of boxes of pizza for those that prefer it, with cat-shaped paper plates to go with it. On the drink side of things, there's water and a variety of soda. ...and animal-print paper cups for those. There's a theme here.
And for dessert—a lot of handmade sweets, ranging from various mochi creations and cake pops, to macarons and éclairs, to red bean pastries, too... Well, there's a lot. Not to mention the birthday cake either: a three-layer candy-covered vanilla cake with strawberry frosting. Is everything that can be pink that color? Yes.
For those that have gifts, drop them at the present table by the door, easily identified by the fact the entire glittery clear balloon budget seems to have gone to it... given there's several tied to it and only a few of them hanging around the room otherwise.
