WHO: Manon Akamine and YOU
WHERE: The park, streets, and various shops
WHEN: All of February
WHAT: Speedy dogs, magical blades, and valentines oh my
WARNINGS: idk she might curse or something
A) February 2, dogs that go zoom
[ It's a lovely day in the park. A bit chilly, but that's nothing new since it's still winter. The dome is still in place--she got used to it. But this gives her an interesting time to experiment with the speed boosting pancakes she bought from Elliot the other day. It's 5:30 pm, which means the street lamps are on. It would be a hassle to try and find everything with her flashlight.
Over time, she taught her two dogs how to play fetch. It's been a long way, but she got there. But they seem to be peculiar about the things they want to fetch. The golden retriever only wants to fetch stick-like things. The chihuahua only wants to fetch squishy things. She has something for both--a dog toy for both that matches their preferences. It works out.
So, she feeds a bit of the pancake to her dog, throws the dog toy, and watches them go pretty fast. They're going at about 30 mph/48 kph. Perhaps the dog toy landed somewhere around you or it hit you and landed on the floor. Either way, you're getting a very happy dog scampering towards you, trying to find the toy. If you're unlucky, a dog will straight up tackle you. Hope it isn't the golden retriever. ]
B1) February 15: suddenly, swords
[ Instead of Manon's usual cheery and haughty self, she seems a little cranky today. Perhaps you'll find her on the street, or at the park, or at several shops. The locations are different, but they all have something in common.
Ever since this morning, she's been having trouble controlling this blade thing--more like when it appears. So at the park, it's lodged into a tree and she can't get it out. She probably broke something at the store when it unexpectedly pops up. Or even worse, she might have almost accidentally stabbed someone with it while making grand hand gestures at them. Oops.
She has absolutely no control over this thing right now and it frustrates her. ]
B2) February 15: [ emotion intensifies ]
[ Or maybe the universe hates you and you happen to run into Manon while she's under the cupid's arrow effect while everything in B1 is happening. ]
C) Wildcard
[ If anyone would like to be stuck with her on the 14th, it's first come first serve, since I don't have anyone planned with her. Other than that, hit me up with anything! ]

Unfortunately, no amount of berth is wide enough when the other dog is going 30 miles an hour.
The dog toy lands a little ways away. Pluto takes immediate interest in it, pulling hard at the leash, and Michael's so occupied trying to retain control that he barely sees the golden blur coming at them until it's too late.]
What the fu-
[WHAM. The retriever slowed before it jumped him, fortunately, but not enough, and it still slams him off his feet, knocking the wind out of his lungs and the leash out of his hand. Pluto bolts, dragging the leash behind him, but doesn't go too far; he darts back and forth a little ways off, barking and baring his teeth behind the muzzle.]

Eventually, she feels like she walked in on a crime scene. There's a dog loudly barking, another dog looking all "I didn't do it" and a
deadman on the ground. The only thing this scenario needs is a chalk outline. She doesn't seem afraid of Pluto despite his aggressive barking. It's probably the muzzle. ]Do you need an ambulance there?
[ Where is that dog toy... Oh, here it is. She picks it up and briefly wonders if she could play with Pluto too. ]
no subject
Dog... how...
[Meanwhile, Pluto: she might be able to play with him, but he seems more inclined to fight than play. Hopefully her dogs aren't getting too close.]
B-1
With careful steps he approaches her and asks: ]
Need a hand? That blade's lodged in pretty well. You need to retrieve it carefully.
no subject
I would! And it would be nice if you could help!!
[ But. That's unreasonable. ]
It appears and disappears whenever it wants, so I'll just... wait. [ But, oh. The kid doesn't look like he's freaking out over the blade? ]
You got the app too, huh?
no subject
[He seems eager enough to lend a hand. Why not? Nanashi's not scared of blades anymore. Instead, he finds them pretty cool. ]
Yep, I do. That app is a real pain sometimes. Don't you think so?
[His places his attention towards Manon while speaking. She's seen better days alright. ]
no subject
[ Priorities.
Anyway, Manon tries tugging her arm a little, but as expected, the blade doesn't budge from the tree. ]
I'm not sure if it's breakable either.
no subject
Anyways, I'll try chipping away at the bark. Maybe it'll come loose then.
[Nanashi takes out his pocket knife and uses it to cut the loose wood around the blade. This is gonna take a bit of time.]
Wow, it's taking forever. How'd you get it in so deep? [Did she try to kill the tree or something?]
no subject
--materialized? Is that the right word? Then it took shape while a part of it was in the tree.
[ Honestly, she's not going to question the pocket knife and why he has it because apparently, carrying weapons around the city is the hottest trend right now. ]
no subject
[ These days Nanashi only feels secure when there's a weapon nearby. A knife is easy to conceal and it works well in most situation. At least Manon isn't questioning it. It saves him a great deal of trouble. There are more important issues at hand: ]
You aren't hurt, right?
[Manon looks okay on the outside. Maybe there's some kind of gimmick to this weapon and she got hurt somewhere? ]
no subject
[ That's about it, really. ]
At this rate, I might get nothing done today. This isn't the first time that's happened either.
no subject
[When was the other time? Does he want to know? Nanashi keeps chipping at the wood casually while talking. Just give it a few more minutes, it'll come loose. ]
Hey, what do you want me to call you? I'm Nanashi.
no subject
[ Now that she thinks about it, there seems to be a lot of people in Recolle with Japanese names. Feels right at home, really. Despite her current situation, she manages to crack a smile. ]
I'm trying not to touch any important papers today, because I don't want an accident that rips a hole in them. That's about as rough as it gets.
[ And, you know. Accidentally hurting someone. ]
no subject
It'd be hard to work with that issue. [He closes his eyes and shakes his head.]
Give it a few more minutes. You'll be home free soon!! [Her sword's getting looser by the second. Thank goodness for that. ]
b1/2
He stares at the ground for a moment, then lifts his gaze to Manon's hand and that blade, and finally up to look her in the eyes as he raises both hands in the air in a gesture of surrender. ]
Take my wallet and spare me.
[ His wallet is empty aside from a credit card that isn't even his, so he doesn't care about losing it while being held at knife point. ]
no subject
That sure is a storm of flower petals being slammed right at her face, though Minato might have some petals on him too since that was a big blast of petals. At least everything smells better...? Maybe it's karma.
Anyway, she takes deep breaths in an attempt to calm herself. ]
I'm not. Trying to kill you.
[ She lowers her arm since it's not stuck into something that's immovable. The shopping bag falls and Manon squints a little, seeing the little powder things fall out even more. ]
... What is that?
no subject
Why flowers. What. ]
It's, uh. [ He stalls, kneeling down to sweep the packets into a makeshift basket he makes by pulling out the hem of his shirt, the entire time keeping his gaze up at Manon while feeling blindly around for the bags. Just in case she tries to pull out the blade again. Or throws more flowers into his face. ]
Trace minerals you add to water. Some medicine. Stuff like that.
no subject
Except no. She can't. Because her dumb sword is in the way.
Manon stares at this blade, and it doesn't look like it's going away any time soon. She sighs and gives up on getting her purse to open. ]
What's your name? And where do you live?
no subject
He's slow to stand, wondering what the point of the questions are, but eventually figures it can't hurt to answer them. ]
Arisato... I live in Birch Hills.
[ Student apartments near campus, so there's no way he has money, if that's what she's going for. ]
no subject
... Her blade still isn't going away. She glances at it with some disappointment before looking back at him. ]
I'm not going to attack you if that's what you're worried about.
no subject
Minato glances at the blade when she does, trying to shove down his doubts, because she's had ample opportunity to stab him in the gut if she'd really wanted to, so he decides to place his trust in her. ]
Do you not have a holster for it? Any extra fabric would work, probably.
b1
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
[He screams a bit loudly and drops his cereal, before quickly backing away from Manon.]
no subject
Stop screaming!
[ She hisses, not wanting to make too much of a commotion. She's about to move her hand to cover his mouth, but that's not the right hand. Oops. She immediately withdraws her hand. Sure did almost stab someone in the mouth. ]
no subject
[He's still being Loud and keeps on backing away from Manon, both wary and a little frightened by this whole situation. If he was just a few inches over... it wouldn't be Cheerios spilling on the ground!]
W-why do you have such a dangerous weapon in the market?! [He musters up some confidence to be a bit angry, because this is unsafe!]
no subject
no subject
[...Well, it actually does, because memories and past lives. Ishida understands that much now.]
Ngh... never mind, I believe you. Still! You can't continue on this way!
b1
which suddenly flew into a commotion because manon's sword thingy just activated and it kind of sliced the table in half. eep. ]
Manon-san...?
[ he's a little weirded out like what is this ]
no subject
... Mizuki.
[ At the end of it all, she's just tired. She's tired of this blade thing ruining her day, and possibly her life from here on out. This is going to suck!! Well, she's going to move the hand with the blade behind her so that it's out of Sena's view. She's not attempting to hide its existence from him, but she figures that it's probably unnerving to see someone with a weapon out in broad daylight. ]
That sure was an accident, huh?
no subject
I'd say. [ he's so deadpan and used to odd shit like this at this point. ] I didn't imagine you to be some superpowered person either but I can't say I'm surprised either.
[ they should really get out of here in case a staff member sees this too. they're not too far from the door too... ]
B2 I think!!
There's a strange sparking sound from off to the right.
You look and - that sure is a street light which appears to have a sword-thing in it and probably some dangerous electricity in the area and that's not good??? ]
no subject
She's menacingly glaring at her blade as if that will get itself to disappear so she can go free, but no. The blade still exists over hand, being stuck in a street light. She vaguely wonders at this point if she can just slice this thing so that she can get free. She is so. Done!!!
So this is her, trying to get it out of the street light, but her attempts are futile. It's still stuck. Attempt one fails. Attempt two fails. She's yelling in frustration now.
AAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
The blade isn't going away anyway. ]
no subject
Hey, simmer down! You're going to hurt yourself or someone here!
[ Let's just... go over and deal with it... sigh... ]
no subject
[ Oh. It's her. Manon's speech stops right there for a moment before glowering over at the blade. She looks up at the street light. It seems to be working properly... somehow. She's not sure how that works when she thinks that she sliced the cables or something inside the pole. When the realization hits, she looks pretty terrified. ]
If I move the blade more, am I going to get shocked to death?!
no subject
[ It looks sort of beam sword-y but at the same time she can't tell from this angle with it embedded in the streetlight pole. So Elda is going to scurry on closer to see if she can 't get a better look, maybe even help with it. ]
