App Investigation and Saving the Shelter [Open]

(March 14) After lecture [Open to high school and college students]

In one of the lecture halls in Recolle University, Augustine has just finished one of his animal biology lectures. While the events regarding his own dark secrets almost derail his schedules, he was relieved that he managed to finish it just in time for today. However, upon seeing the time on his phone, he might use some of his free time to organize some of the files and test papers.

Although, you can try to approach him for a one-on-one lesson with him or just have a normal conversation with him about anything.

(March 15) Information Search [Open to all]

On a clear afternoon in Enprise, Augustine tried to visit some jewelers found in this district as Ainsley suggested over Retrospec to gain some information regarding the stone he recently found as well visiting some watch shops about his Retrospec gift. Yet despite this, the shopkeepers and the jewelers have no knowledge about either of them.

Right now, he is sitting down on a bench nearby to take a rest as well staring at the watch he is wearing on his left wrist, which has the stone embedded where the face of the watch's clock used to be. As he did, he is fiddling with the stone as many questions were filled in his head. Some revolving about the events he experienced related to Retrospec and some are related about his visions about the dragon and the tower.

As he is somehow in a trance staring at his watch, you might try to talk to him or shake him off to snap out of it.

(March 18) Animal Troubles

It's just another day in Recolle and unfortunately, trouble is brewing at the Recolle Animal Shelter. When Augustine arrived at the shelter, his eyes widened in shock to see many cats and dogs are running around outside the shelter and ran away. As he questions what happened, he learned from one of the volunteers that a new volunteer worker's inexperience caused him to provoke a grumpy cat, but also released most of the animals from their cages after he pushed the button on his back.

Right now, you can see him trying to catch most of the escaped cats and dogs before they run off to the streets. If you didn't have plans to go the shelter, though, you can still see the chaos by seeing some of them running away from the animal shelter with the other workers chasing them.

Luke was taking advantage of the fair weather to take a little walk around town when he spotted someone he knew on a nearby bench.

"Good morning, Professor. What is that you've got there?"

Upon he heard the young boy's voice, he then turns around to see Luke near him.

"Oh, hello Luke. It's nothing special. It's just a watch I recently got from Retrospec."

"What? Do you work for them, then?" Luke couldn't imagine why a company would gift watches to non-employees, but an appreciation gift for a collaborator? That made perfect sense.

Though come to think of it, what would they need his expertise for?

"Not exactly. They actually delivered it to me without any announcements. It might be because I'm one of the users for the beta-testing on their app."

Though, he doubts that's the real reason behind the packages.

"That's a little expensive for doing a little testings, isn't it? You must have given them quite a bit!"

For his part, Luke hadn't received a package -- though perhaps they were limited to power users.

"Well, I can't say it's a beta-test, considering how many residents are using the app."

To be honest, he feels that the app is more of an official one rather a beta-tested one.

[professahhh]

"Eh? So it's the official version now? It still seems to have quite a few bugs in it." Maybe the company didn't mind releasing poor quality applications... though he still wasn't sure how something like that could skip the usual gatekeeper app stores.

"Do they give you more information about releases if you use the app more often?"

"That I don't know... I'm still investigating regarding that app right now. As well the origins of this watch and the stone attached to it."

He might mistake him as a detective after hearing him say that, but he really wants to know more about the app's history. As he said this, he continues to tap on the stone out of curiosity.

[professahhh]

"Is there something special about that stone? It doesn't look too out of the ordinary to me."

And if it was supposed to be in the watch, wouldn't fiddling around with it... break it?

"It might be looked ordinary, but the unusual feature about it is the colors. I have never seen a stone glow like it."

Not to mention that it has a DNA strand-shaped symbol at the middle of it, which he still can't pinpoint regarding the familiarity of the stone.

Ahoy!!!

-The Mayship was... pretty old. And pretty beat up. It wasn't the fastest, grandest, or anything else, but it was her ship, and that made it good enough. May leapt from the deck to the pier below in a single jump, stumbling only slightly as she made her way to him, waving.-

Hey! Well, whaddya think? How many girls you know own their own cabin cruiser like this, huh?

[Once he saw the aforementioned ship when he arrives, Augustine is shell-shocked at the sight of it, which he wonders if it still operational.]

All I can say that you might be the first... Still, it's somehow a decent boat.

-May laughed, shaking her head. She was gonna chalk that up to his years in Paris.-

No no, the man who took me in when I was little. I call him my old man.

[In that case, he can also guess that she's adopted.]

I see. Where is he right now? Is he out of town?

-Well that definitely confirmed he hadn't seen her video. Part of her thought of that as a relief, but... the rest of her was a little anxious about it only being a matter of time until he did.-

Yeah. -But that didn't mean she was clamoring to tell him the whole truth just yet.-

I'm glad to hear that.

[It is true that he didn't watch her video because after that embarrassing incident with his video, he decided not to watched any of the other users' videos for the sake of their privacy.]

Although, I wonder if the ship is sturdy enough for two people inside...

[Looks like he is somehow reluctant to enter. Maybe you can give him a push?]

First of all, be careful how you talk about someone's ship around here. I'm not gonna take it personally this time, but that's something of a nautical code you may wanna remember.

Second, it can easily hold six or more people. Go on, get up the gangplank, it's fine.

[Don't worry, May. Augustine will try to watch his words next time.]

I'll try to remember that. Well, here goes...

[He is reluctant to enter the ship considering the age of it, but not wanting to disappoint her, he climbs up the ship to enter it.]

-While it was still a bit messy from May's cleaning efforts, there were no weird creeks or sounds when he stepped on. May popped up behind him, shifting past to open up the cabin door.-

Come on in! The cabin, at least, is already clean. Just don't mind the beer cans...

[Upon he sees the ship's interior, he can see how she tried to keep it in tip-top shape. Emphasis on the word, "try".

Regardless, he had managed to get to a nearby chair or sofa where he can at least relax for a moment.]

Look, about the other day... -May sighed, shuffling her feet before she found a chair to sit in, clasping her hands in front of her but not really looking up at Augustine or making eye contact.-

I was... really cold to you. And you didn't deserve that. And I'm sorry.

March 18

Gwendal volunteers at the shelter on most weekends, and this one is no different. It all happened so fast - one moment, he was trimming the nails of a rescued dog who seems to never have been groomed in her life, and the next there was nothing but noise, chaos, and furry bodies pushing past him. He tried to grab a couple, but couldn't hold them effectively from where he was sitting, so now he's outside trying again.

Most of the dogs seem to think evading capture is a fun game of tag; he's more concerned about formerly-stray cats getting frightened and sneaking off.

"Hey," he waves at Augustine, "Will you get on the other side of that bush? There's a cat underneath, keep her from running off while I try to grab her."

While he remained calm as he tries to catch as many cats and dogs from escaping the shelter completely, he is starting to feel the exhaustion from doing so. It isn't even helping that one of the cats is actually the one who scratched the new volunteer worker as it violently avoids his grasp.

Thankfully, a volunteer worker he recently asked him to get to the other side of the bush to get the cat. Although it's not the same cat who started all of this, at least helping him will catch the remaining escapees.

"Sure, just make sure you handle her gently," Augustine said as he heads to the other side of the bush, ready if the cat tries to escape from his side.
