TEAM THREE EVENT LOG
READY: START. Roster: Minato Arisato + Lalli Hotakainen, Chuuya Nakahara + Kit Fawkes, Yaboku Tomioka + Yukine Matsuoka, Natalie Goodman + Elliot Craig, Mimori Togo + Garfield Logan, Leo Valdez + Dante Rantanen, Souji Narukami + Mako Lou, Futaba Isshiki + Li-Na Yiu, Felicia Kilmassen + Lillian Aust, Eijirou Kirishima + Ann Takamaki, Derek Matthews + Rindou Kuninaga, Kon Ishida + John Becket, Izuku Midoriya + Ami Aihara, James Barnes + John Egbert, Keith Kogane + Shin Asuka On the morning of the fourth at 9am, you'll find yourself gathering near the edge of the woods. Many of you will find yourself partnered up and with a name in mind, and awaiting in front of you is a fine troop of horses and Chocobos alike. Saddled up and ready to go, these creatures know the way and anxiously wait for their riders even if it looks like some of you may need to share. A text comes through not long after, Zee's name attached. Word of advice: feed them before you try to bring them back. They're touchy, but they're smart. They know the way to go and they'll be waiting to bring you back. Following Zee's advice, you'll find yourself on a ride west of the city, traveling through the woods for about two hours. As you travel, first the forest seems to grow darker but then it's brighter as you go. In a way, it almost feels as though you're shrinking as everything around you encompasses the area, but rest assure you remain the same size you always were. The sounds of woodland creatures and soothing streams echo around you, greeting you as you enter a region known as Bosuma. ![]() Bright, airy and open, Bosuma is a forest domain larger than life. Populated with towering trees and overgrown mushrooms, the forest is home mostly to animals from the sound of it and it’s rarely quiet. Chattering birds and the trickles of rivers make up the soundtrack for this area and it will take quite a while to walk anywhere to find some sort of civilization. Everything seems to be existing in peace and harmony in this section of the world and the scent of wildflowers mists through the trees as you walk through. The forest itself seems endless and it would take multiple trips and multiple attempts at making a map to get an idea of how large the area really is. Hollows and burrows pop up every now and then and several mossy areas appear to be the home for several creatures. The creatures, amazingly enough, aren’t afraid of human life and will even willingly approach anyone who wanders into their woods. Rabbits, raccoons, birds (finches and quails, most likely), squirrels and even deer will walk right up to you to greet you. Fish flow with the rivers and turtles and lizards bask themselves on the riverbanks to catch some of the sun shining down through the leaves above. However, even though it’s harder to find signs of civilization in this region it isn’t outright impossible. Some exploration will reveal cottages peppering the woods but people are still strangely absent in these parts. In fact, the cottages look as though they were vacated quickly and in hasty circumstances. Some homes have clothing strewn on the floor while others have fresh fruit and fish gathered and hunted for families. The animals won’t be able to answer any questions you may have, but after some time it becomes obvious they are prone to following human life. As night falls though the animals begin to taper off. Rabbits dart back to their rabbit holes and deer prance off into the thickets of trees. Owls begin to hoot and other nighttime critters stir. The forest continues to glow at night and the mushrooms provide an eerie almost iridescent appeal to the dark. It’s only in the dark that it becomes a bit more obvious that you haven’t been as alone as you’ve thought. The walls have ears and the trees have eyes, and at the stroke of midnight a swirl of magic flows through the air as several dryads step out from the trees, shyly approaching for a meet and greet. They have placed their trust in you. Try not to let them down, will you? This is the Team Three Event Log! You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log.
Remember, your activity to qualify for your two free memories and one item is supplying at least 30 comments spread over the three objectives per group (minimum of 5 comments per objective!) with at least three members of your groups. You will not be eligible if you do not participate in all three objectives somehow, and you will not be eligible if you only stick with your preferred partner! People who are paired with partners will experience some of the following: -Telepathic connections, but only the thoughts you don’t want your partner to actually hear. You can also use this to influence your partner’s thoughts. -Color fades when you’re not cooperating, it brightens when you are. -Cause and effect. If something happens to your partner, you feel it (i.e. if your partner trips somewhere, you’ll feel the effects.) -Timers. You and your partner will have a countdown embedded somewhere (hand, foot, chest, whatever) and if you don’t complete your missions and see each other before the timer runs out, consequences occur. These are not required and you may play with these as little or as much as you want! Important links to mod toplevels are: Mod Questions, Participation Reporting, NPC questions. Please be aware you are responsible for reporting your own participation & objective completion efforts with links. You must ICly tap into the log within the first 48 hours, or you will be removed from your team. If your activity is low per objective, the moderators may reach out to you about reassignment as well. The schedule for Team Three is as follows: 3RD: Objective 1 posted (9PM EST) | Threading for Travel to Location | Threading for Objective One | General Network Mingle for Group | General Downtime MingleObjectives will be given in mod toplevels to this post with instructions; please check the log currently for Objective 1 to see how this will work. |

[When they finally regroup in the evening, Li-Na is more than happy to share from the stash of snacks she brought with her. After all, she brought them for everyone. She just... didn't expect there to be so many in the group.]
Um, this one has dark chocolate, pecans, and dried cherries. And this one has white chocolate, almonds, and dried cranberries.
b -- an important question
[This... is literally the first time Li-Na ever been camping. Ever. It's not that they don't go camping in Hong Kong. There is plenty of camping to be had. She's just... never done it. And it's kind of a surreal experience really, sitting and watching the stars come out. The only time she's seen this many stars was at the planetarium; this is with her bare eyes. This city girl is rather enchanted.
Until she hears something rustling in the woods behind her. She jumps a little, then looks at the person next to her.]
Are there... sasquatch out here, do you think?
B
NOT THIS AGAIN ]
Re: B
Sorry... was that a weird question? I just... I heard there was one in Recolle Woods...
no subject
No there isn't.
no subject
But someone had pictures...

[Gar holds up a burning branch and lets the fire throw flickering shadows over his face. He grins menacingly.]
We just fought an ogre tonight. I bet there's all kinds of other crazy things out there. We should go on a yeti hunt!
Re: b
[Because it is one thing to run into an ogre or yeti or sasquatch by chance. And another thing entirely to go looking for trouble. In the dark. In a forest you've only just started exploring.]
no subject
[obviously]
It's our only chance! We're in a magical fairy forest! We haven't even been able to leave the city in a month! Don't you wanna see what kinda stuff is out there?
...Maybe it's not sasquatches, maybe it's like, elves. That'd be cool, right?
...I hope it's sasquatches though.
no subject
[Really Gar. You are concerning her.]

[beast boy's biology knowledge is sadly lacking for someone who relies on turning into animals]
And we're busy during the day with helping the dryad things. Everyone knows the best stuff comes out at night, too.

Monkeys bite. And steal your belongings. There are monkeys near Hong Kong. They might not eat you, but you still need to be very careful around them.
[Li-Na knows at least six stories involving overly aggressive monkeys. Do not make her tell them.]
Gar, please. You could fall in a hole and then we not realize you are in trouble...

Can I have the one with the edamames? And the white chocolate one, too.
Re: a
[Li-Na forks over the requested snacks.]
Let me know what you think. I tried to pick ingredients that would be both tasty and healthy.
no subject
It's really good! It's better than any other edamame snack I've had before.
[ also, since he definitely didn't miss the last part: ] You made these yourself?
no subject
Yes, I learned how to make granola bars in home ec class last semester. And then I looked online for other healthy recipes. Though, the edamame I already knew. A friend back home taught me that one.
no subject
You should totally teach me some time. I'll give you an edamame recipe in exchange, if you'd like!
no subject
[Li-Na grins and gives a firm nod]
I would be happy to! And yes, please. I love edamame, so more recipes are great.

b!
[With... the monsters and forest spirits, and everything else. Sasquatch would somehow end up being the most ordinary thing out of this impromptu camping trip??]
Re: b!
Is there any way to tell if there are? I only heard about sasquatches recently. I am more familiar with yeti, but those live in the high mountains...
[look, if there are sasquatch out here, she would prefer to avoid them if possible]
no subject
[That is?? The opposite of what she wants???]
no subject
[No, no it's not. Li-Na gives Keith an alarmed look.
What? No! I do not want to go find one. I am just... concerned what might be out there...
[poor city girl who has gone hiking once in her life and THIS is her first camping trip]
no subject
You're better off not thinking too hard about it.
no subject
No. I am definitely not going to think about it. I want to be able to sleep tonight.
