Just as Yosuke expressed in his group chat invite, he's decided to throw a party on Christmas Eve. Normally the Narukami twins' place is the best for parties, but with his parents out of town for the holiday and Yosuke stuck IN town with work, why not take advantage of a big empty house in the suburbs? That's what cool guys do. And Yosuke is a super cool guy.

There's a gray, two-story house along the curve of one of the long residential streets. Though there are other houses that are more lit up for the holiday, this house in particular has lights strung along the walkway and up along the mailbox, with a few balloons floating above it. Because, you know, balloons mean a party any time of year. So come on down!

❅ UNDER THE MISTLETOE

When you enter the house, you'll probably be super surprised (not) that there's a mistletoe hanging above the front door. Whoops? Maybe you get to kiss whoever answered the door for you. How lucky!

Later in the night, someone also decided it would be a good idea to attach the mistletoe to the fan in the kitchen, which is now swinging around wildly and dangerously above the heads of everyone else. Does that mean you kiss everyone in the room?

[After managing to dodge getting a kiss around the door, Yukiko makes her way into the kitchen. And she's caught staring at the mistletoe going round and round and round on the fan, unable to keep herself from giggling. And giggling...]

[Minako can usually be found in the kitchen if she isn't out with the others, stealing more snacks or cleaning up a little bit as the night wears on. She's very studiously ignoring the mistletoe'd ceiling fan, so obviously that needs to change, right?]

❅ DECORATING THE TREE

The music that may or may not be Christmas music or whatever alternative rock collection Yosuke has put on will be playing from the living room. In one corner, there is a Christmas tree constructed out of a string of lights. It's not traditional, but it gives the basic idea, right? There is also a box of ornaments of varying shapes and sizes--all white and unpainted. Yep, that's right! You can design your own decorations and hang the finished products on the "tree". They can be as appropriate or inappropriate as you want.

❅ IT'S WHAT'S FOR DINNER

As tradition stands, Yosuke has provided some KFC for Christmas. That doesn't mean it's the only food, though. He did ask that people bring their own snacks and additions to the feast, so it's a potluck of sorts. Share your spoils with others or feel free to get creative in the kitchen.. Did you make your own Christmas Cookies or festive treats? Show them off, you're the chef! Or pay respects to the other chef...aka the Colonel.

[Minako brought a literal pail full of caramel popcorn for snacking on, as well as a spiced cherry pie and a lovingly braided chicken and pesto pastry puff Christmas tree for people to eat!]

❅ MAKING MOVIE MAGIC...AL

What is Christmas without the classics? And by the classics we mean The Muppet Christmas Carol, Home Alone, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, and The Santa Claus. Meant to provide some good background noise and laughs along the way, people can wander in and out of the den with food and watch the movie or wander back out. It looks like someone was also kind enough to provide some beer, so drinking games? Totally. (Get inspired.)

[Beer holds little interest for Yukiko, really. It smells foul, it tastes fouler, and she has eschewed the option for soda during Muppet Christmas Carol. Sitting happily, she starts humming along with her favorite character when his solo song starts. And yes, it is Sam the Eagle...

She's a little more easily distracted during National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, but her attention is all on Home Alone, and she's leaning forward in her seat a little. This is one movie...]

AKA "Dirty Santa", is basically the fun cousin of gift exchanges. If you're new to the idea, it makes gifting into a game, one that can get quite competitive when a slew of most-wanted presents are involved. No one is required to come with a gift to the party but if you want to take part in the gift exchange, you'll need something to contribute.

RULES:

1.) Each participant supplies one wrapped gift.
2.) The gifts are placed in a central location, and participants determine in which order they will take turns selecting them. The first person opens a wrapped gift, and the turn ends.
3.) On subsequent turns, each person has the choice to either unwrap a new present or to "steal" another's. When a person's gift is stolen, that person can either choose another wrapped gift to open or can steal from another player.
4.) To avoid never ending circles, each gift can only be stolen once per turn.
