and like some drunken elvis singing [open]

WHO: Miles Edgeworth and you!
WHERE: Everywhere, see prompts.
WHEN: First half of December, before term at Recolle High ends.
WHAT: Schoolnanigans, Christmas event things, an ice skating exhibition, etc.
WARNINGS: None, except maybe that I will try to regain some earthquake-related memories woohoo

A: SCHOOL'S NOT YET OUT a.k.a. the school catchall prompt

[It has been getting cold lately, so all PE classes have been held at the Recolle High gym. Miles has taken great pains to set up hurdles, mats and the rest of the equipment into a makeshift track course for his students to run. On other days, basketball is the sport of choice, and on still others he puts on some music and teaches dance.

Yeah, sometimes it's ballroom dance class time. It'll be useful for proms and surprise fancy Christmas parties! If you're having trouble, you get to be his dance partner. And he demands proper attire for ballroom dance. Girls have to put on skirts and wear high heels, guys have to wear pants and dress shoes.

Alternately, you can find him at his office - it's neat and tidy, filled with bookshelves, his awards as a coach of some of the sports teams or from his days as a star athlete in school, and there's a nice view of the winter wonderland outside his window. He can be found nursing a cup of tea while looking over a lesson plan or even a dance routine he's teaching, wearing his blue and white Recolle High jacket.

If all else fails, you can run into him in the school corridors, looking a little frazzled but trying not to show it in how his steps are frantic, and how occasionally he mutters stuff like:]

Triple axel, double jump...

[Or you might hear him humming Carol of the Bells to himself, but he doesn't look happy doing it.]

B: SKATE DATE (Dec. 15)

[This is the reason why Miles Edgeworth has been...on edge (boo).

In the afternoon, there is an exhibition for all ice skaters who will be competing next year. Though this isn't a competition, it always pays to make a good impression in case any would-be judges are around, and of course, Miles takes pride in his sport so much that he will always give it his all.

Come watch him skate to Carol of the Bells while wearing a costume that looks like a cross between a tuxedo and a Santa costume - think red and white and a bowtie - although toward the end he very nearly fumbles a salchow and has to right himself afterward, oops. After his routine, he'll be somewhere wiping his brow and looking a little disappointed, whether seated to watch the other skaters or trying to leave very quickly once everyone has already performed.]

C: HERE'S THE MAIL, IT NEVER FAILS

[Miles is at the mailbox, exchanging a ticket. He receives a photograph in return -
this photograph, if you care to look over his shoulder and get a glimpse of it. He blinks at it, and says a little more loudly than he hoped - ]

A-A celebration? Who are the other - a-am I wearing a cravat with my suit?! Do I seriously...

[He just lets that last word hang as he continues staring at the photo in disbelief.]

D: YOU ROCK MY WORLD

[It's not the cold that bothers Miles; he can easily bundle up in a sweet jacket and scarf for that. Besides, sometimes it's good to just have a walk in the middle of some light snow. What bothers him are the the sudden earthquakes that pop up out of nowhere under his feet. Whenever one does, he jumps a little and has to hang on to the nearest tree or mailbox or building...notably, he doesn't grab hold of you.

That's real nice of him.]

...Was that an earthquake? Should I be worried about worse things to come or are the earthquakes normal in this city?

[Look, you never know, okay. What if the earthquakes summon more mistle-bats out of nowhere or something.]
