Teleporting in a winter wonderland.

WHO: Luna and open!
WHERE: All around the city!
WHEN: Second and third week of December.
WHAT: Luna randomly and uncontrollably teleporting around. Also monster dogs playing fetch and winter event shenanigans and who knows what else!
WARNINGS: Sass.

A - Telepor-what now?

Where are you? Are you alone? Perhaps in your own home or at work or even in your car at a stop light? Well, not anymore! There was a sudden swirl of darkness speckled with sparkling silver white light, and then suddenly there's a thirteen year old with pink hair with you, her eyes a bit wide, but her expression mostly one of frustration.

"Now where am I?!"

She hissed out the words as she looked around and immediately grabbed onto the nearest surface, be it wall or table or whatever, before fixing her blue eyes on the nearest person. "Where am I?"

B - Post-telepor-what now?

"Hey, uh...help a girl out?"

The voice came from above, a high wall, the top of a magazine stand, or even the roof of a building, and when someone looks up, they'll find Luna perched on the edge of it, the heels of her feet tapping against the wall beneath her, her eyes a bit wide and maybe a tad freaked out.

"I'm pretty sure I can't get down off here on my own."

And she didn't trust this new power to get her down or make the situation worse. Maybe they could catch her?

C - Can you train a monster dog?

On various days when she wasn't stuck with little control over where she might be from minute to minute, Luna could be found in the park with her dog. Isn't he adorable? With the whole being three and a half feet tall and five feet long and with all the claws and teeth and the poison bites?

At least he acts like a dog? Or he does for Luna, anyway, since most of the time she'd be playing games with him. Usually fetch. Which involves less a tennis ball and more a soccer ball but it seems to do the trick?

Come say hi! He's probably friendly. As long as you aren't threatening in any way.

D - December Event Stuff/Wildcard

Outside of those prompts, Luna is around! At school during the day, hanging out at the mall, playing in the snow, just...being around. Stuck under some mistletoe bats with her? Well that's what pecks on the cheek are for. Get caught in an earthquake mini-blizzard with her? Definitely! Want to start a snowball fight with her? Go for it she will totally return it in kind! Just general December junk like Christmas shopping or whatever?

OOC: I will match style so bracketspam is totally fine! Come at me, etc etc.

The dog lifted his nose to snuff at her hand, and then lowered his head a bit. Petting approved.

"October. Eesh. Is it a family or...?"

Kara cautiously petted the dog's nose.

"Yeah. They seem nice, but I'm being careful. The next-door neighbour's on Retrospec, too, so that's kind of interesting?"

The dog's weird tail wagged happily when he got petted. And then he turned and darted back over to Luna to scoop up the soccer ball, which he deposited at Kara's feet.

"That'll be handy if one of these disasters people keep talking about happens. Since apparently normal people don't even notice them."

[maidofmistakes]

"Oh. Uh..." She crouched down to carefully pick up the ball. Okay... throwing it? "Fetch?"

Back to Luna. "Yeah. This is really getting weird. I don't know what I'd do if a real disaster happened. Though I guess I can see through walls now."

And off the dog goes, bounding after the soccer ball.

"I don't know either. Though I guess he'll be handy." A beat. "Oh, and I got sometihng else too." Her grin was a bit wicked.

"Oh can you control that now? I mean, I'm assuming you aren't X-raying me." She hesitated. "...You aren't X-raying me right?"

"No, no way! Definitely not!" Kara waved her arms in protest. "You can tell if I am. My eyes go like this."

She looked off to the side and her eyes started to glow blue. Then back to normal before she looked back at Luna.

"I'm trying not to do it much in case I get sick from it. Some people brought that up."

Luna's eyes went a bit wide at that glow, leaning forward to examine it more closely until Kara turned it off. Huh.

"It's cool either way. BUt you really think they'd give you a power that could give you eye cancer or something?"

"I sure hope not." She shook her head. "So far, the worst I've gotten were some bad memories, plus taste and colours going away, but that's for everyone."

"Well, I don't think you have to worry." Luna said with a shrug. "It'd be silly for them to give us powers that hurt us."

So, why would they do that? Excactly.

"I have gotten a few memories. Mostly it's just been...nothing? None of them really felt connected to each other."

"What kind?" She paused. "Wait, if you don't want to talk about them, that's okay, why would you, uh, sorry."

Luna shrugged. "They're just...weird. A girl I've never seen before, some lady leaving me behind in a city I don't know the name of..." That second one was definitely bad.

She shook her head. "Just weird."

Kara shuddered and shook her head.

"Yeah. I guess they're supposed to make sense over time. Mine just... the newest one was me getting pushed into a mud puddle and having to go chase a horse because some girls were picking on me."

"Hey, that...sounds pretty normal, at least." Luna smiled.

"I'm pretty sure the girl I remembered talking to his some kind of ghost? She was all see through and had this black...stuff...leaking out."

[maidofmistakes]

"Eugh, like pond sludge?" Kara's face contorted. "That's kinda creepy. Creature from the ghost swamp."

[chaoticwhimsy]

"Well more like...oily smoke?" Luna frowned, trying to picture it. "It felt thick. But at the same time I don't know if it was touching me the way it was touching everything else?"

She hadn't really focused on it, but now she was, her eyes narrowed as she thought it over, nose wrinkling.

"It was definitely gross though."

"Whoa." Shiver. "Can you see ghosts now? I mean, could you, if they were here."

[chaoticwhimsy]

"Nah. Or not any I've found yet. I know a girl who can? But I haven't seen any where she says she has so..."

She was very relieved about that. Who wants to see ghosts?

[maidofmistakes]

Kara nodded. "At least that's good. If I saw ghosts, I'd probably be freaked out for my whole life."

"Me too. Or talk to them and everyone would think I was nuts." Her dog came running back now with the soccer ball, dropping it on the ground at Kara's feet.

"I think he likes you."

A nervous laugh and Kara petted the dog again.

"Uh, thanks, Mr. Dog. ...He doesn't have a name, right?"

"Nah, not yet. I keep waiting for a burst of inspiration that will tell me what he should be called." The dog ran in a circle as Luna talked, and then flopped down on the ground between the two of them.

"So far, I've just been kind of call him 'hey you.'"

Kara shook her head. "Hmm. Maybe his name's kind of like something you'd have seen in your old life! You know, like... if you saw ghosts, maybe you named him Spirit or Spectre or something."

"Maybe. Either way I'll have to come up with something...eventually." The dog didn't seem to care one way or another, really. He just did what he was told.

"I haven't named my cat either, and I don't have an excuse on that one." SHe giggled. "Names are pretty tricky! And you have to get them right!"

"I guess. I mean, people name their kids right away, but they have almost a year to do that." She twirled a piece of hair around her finger. "What about something cute?"

"A cute name for a monster dog?" She regarded the dog thoughtfully. "Snookums? Snookums the monster dog?"
