santa is coming to town

[ The cat cafe staff have spent relentless hours deliberating over the limited edition Christmas menu all for naught, but they changed their process for the whole month. All hail aromatherapy! You'll be hit with the refreshing smell of fresh pine, peppermint, cookies if you lurk any deeper. Everyone's favorite carols are also playing... mixed in with carols sang by cats. You may curse the owner for this. They also have a cat music video for these carols on some of the flat screen TVs that would usually show menu items.

So Akira is at work dressed up as... Santa. Without the beard at least, but his outfit is rather extravagant for the occasion. Of course there's that small touch of cat ears attached to the hat. It wouldn't be Catmosphere Cafe without it! He's seated on a grand throne, decorated with snowflakes, ribbons, and presents around it. The cats aren't tearing it apart, either. Amazing. ]

[ Usually, he would ask someone he knows to join him, but... He feels a bit off as of late. It means that he'll be dragging some poor soul (or even call up random people) to join him on his quest. With taste being gone, this is one way to entertain himself when he's hungry.

If you even look at a restaurant momentarily with a spicy challenge, Akira is there with a flyer for it. ]

[ Akira definitely has been a victim of garlands, mistletoe bats, and slipping on ice like an idiot. Go ahead and and pick your choice! He's running away as fast as he can from two out of those three and, like his predecessor, will pretend to be dead if he slips on ice.

Also, for those that are around when he opens his present from the Retrospec Christmas tree, you'll notice he has been staring inside the box he opened...

For a long time. He remember reading the description as "a stone worth 100k yen" on his ticket, but... Uhm. ]

[ HIT ME. Akira's cat won't be joining him later in December due to the cold, but he's around the university and sometimes the most desolate of areas. Anyone may even catch him or a dragon in the forest. ]

Everything that had to do with the app. Memories and all.

Yukine said it wasn't my fault, but I feel like I should make it up to him.

That sounds like a good idea to me.

[ He's in it to make his little evil elf happy... Partners in crime ride and die together. ]

I have no idea what a good date is supposed to be.

I can't really bring him home since my dad is there. But he works here, and it'd be weird to take him to a place he works.

Maybe we'd go and play with the animal shelter cats?

He technically doesn't work here, but he does help me ferry cats over.

[ Though he thinks it's more of a date for Shouto than Yukine... Resting his cheek on his knuckles as his elbow digs into the armrest, he hums thoughtfully. ]

Why don't you take him to go see the Christmas lights?

[glaciers]

He made it sound like he worked here.

[There's a pause as he considers it.]

That should work. He did say he wanted a Christmas date.

Yeah. Take him out for a nice dinner, chat a bit, then head out to check out the lights.

[ Since Shouto is close enough, Akira whispers: ]

Then you give him a kiss to end the day.

[He goes red immediately.]

[ Look at that color! He really does like red, so it's nice to see. ]

That has nothing to do with you. I'm not dating you.

[ SHOUTO... WHY HAVE YOU FALLEN FOR THIS TRICK. ]

[ Shouto... Sorry. He does feel apologetic, especially when he sees him sulk. He has never seen this before? ]

Because of the way you reacted... You're red as a tomato.

[He usually isn't invested enough to start sulking.]

Because it's embarrassing and I don't want to be bad for Yukine.

[ Not he's confused? With owlishly eyes, he blinks once, twice. ]

[This is embarrassing, why did he even start this conversation.]

[ Akira is quiet..................................... and quickly puts that on his tdl to hassle out of Yukine. ]

I’m sure you’ll be fine. [ Shit. He has to give a tip, right? ] You can practice by tying cherry stems into knots with your tongue.

... Is that really how people practice kissing? That sounds like a weird bar trick.

For french kissing, I've heard.

[ We are there now and Akira knows he can't backpedal far enough. Instead, it's better to just drop it. ]

My friend practiced it as a trick, though... So you're right in some sense.

[glaciers]

Has anybody kissed him? Testimonials? ... You don't have to answer.

[maskreant]

[ ...... Akira is quiet, looking at Shouto with an unsure expression. Huh.

He... He wants to believe that Yosuke and Yu have kissed? It may not be directly related to the cherry stem trick, but uh. Suddenly, he's doubting Yosuke. What if Yosuke has chickened out this long? Yosuke seems like the kind of guy who stalls for ages. ]

[ HE'S BETTING ON HIM RIGHT NOW. Crossing his arms, he's trying to appear confident in his words. ]

[ If what he says ends up being a lie, he'll beat the shit out of Yosuke. ]

[Shouto stares at him... But also he doesn't know Akira well enough to find any of his tells. So he'll nod.]
