[ Amidst the varied storefronts in Chata sits a small building neatly tiled in white bricks and decorated with fluted columns. The door has clear glass panes allowing view into what seems to be a small waiting room, but all the other windows (two in total) are frosted glass. There's a small bell tied to the door which would tinkle if anyone opens it - a homely touch in what might appear to be an aseptic establishment.
There's a sign outside which reads Lucian L. Trevelyan, M.D. M.S.. A doctor's office, though its presence here instead of in the hospital might lend a clue to the way it's run.
Whether you're a regular or just someone in need of a consultation, the office is open. Lucian lives upstairs his clinic, so there's even a bell at the door for night service. ]
some things suck, but not this one;
[ On particularly sunny days, one might find a certain middle-aged man traversing the streets of the city with a curious contraption on his back. He carries a backpack from which a sound much like a portable vacuum is coming from, with a particularly long spout dangling out of the slightly-open zipper. The noise is muffled the best he can, but it's liable to attract some attention here and there.
Once in a while he would stop to retrieve the device out of its bag - indeed a portable vacuum combined with several other things - and inspect its contents. Not suspicious or shady, but just... unusual. ]
the sound of music;
[ It's a quiet evening in the Park, and Lucian has chosen to seat himself in a quiet area to play his violin. The acoustics in his room didn't seem right, so it's an open space that he finds more inspiration in.
His playing is simple but on point. However, at some point his phone goes off with a ringtone much like a someone yelling in a garble of words, and the violin's tone ends abruptly in a discordant mess. He drops the bow, picking up his phone, looking mystified. ]
Oh dear.

[ Leave me anything and I'll roll with it! If you'd like something specific, feel free to PM me and I can write us something up. ]

Maybe she's there already. He wouldn't put it past her; he's been a little held up as well. ]

so when she's there waiting, she keeps that in mind. hold onto it. keep it steady. be it for a little while.
when she sees Lucian, he gets a wave, and Grell is smiling, sitting at the table that's usually "theirs" when it isn't taken.]

Ainsley,
I have found a specimen of the Clematis family in the woods. It seems to be flowering and will continue for the next few days. Would you like to come with me?
no subject
This is a perfect oppurtunity to do that and catch up with you at the same time!

It may be a long way, we could bring some snacks.

3/7 - Hospital prompt
Not that there's ever been anything questionable that has popped up, though. He doesn't smoke, rarely drinks, works out, has no chronic illnesses, Togusa is a model patient. Something about taking care of his body.
But he'd called for this appointment rather suddenly. He assured the doctor over the phone that it wasn't an emergency, but still asked if he could be seen. He is subdued as he sits in the waiting room. His phone got left in the car, thank you, it can keep looping stupid videos from the glove compartment.
no subject
There happens to be less people today, so the receptionist would tell Togusa that he will be seen about fifteen minutes later. True to her words, a young man exits the room a few moments afterward, and a few minutes pass before the doctor himself appears. ]
Hello. Please come in.
[ He counts as a regular by now, so there's a slight decrease in formality. ]
no subject
He follows Dr. Trevelyan back, and has a seat, rather than immediately going for the examination table. "Ah, things have been going well, there's no changes in my medical history or medications," which would be none.
"But," Togusa runs a hand through his hair, floofing the front of it in all directions. "There's not really another term for it. I had a panic attack yesterday." He glances up at the doctor with a worried look. "Or, I had what felt like one. So, I hope you can understand if I wanted to make sure of it, before...letting the Department know?" His health comes first, but he does want to make sure what he is saying is right, before alerting anyone else.

lunch date me
Because of this, he doesn't see much of Lucian as he would like— the man had gotten him the job in the first place— so today, Ryoji is at the clinic hours before his shift, waiting for when Lucian finally steps out of his office. ]
Are you on lunch break now? Could I join you? I went over this afternoon's appointments last night, and barring emergencies, your schedule is clear until 1:15.
ofc
For the morning he's spent the time looking through records and his notes. The windchime at the door rings, announcing Ryoji's presence. Lucian himself comes out a short while later. ]
Hello. Yes, I am. You are quite detailed.
[ Said with a slight smile, amused. ]
I was contemplating going out for lunch instead of making it today. What do you think?
no subject
I'm glad you suggested it, because I would have! Since we have a little more time today, how about we grab something outside of Chata? We can buy empanadas and eat outside.

... Are you trying to be a Ghostbuster?
[They're 10?? This seems like a perfectly logical explanation.]

I am looking for spores.
[ Not ghosts. ]

So instead of doing the sketchbook thing, he calls out. ]
Sensei, are you trying to catch ghosts?
[ Talking about ghosts and stuff is something he'd much rather prefer than thinking about his bad family relations, since this time of the year caused a lot of that to resurface, what with his birthday and the death anniversary of his mother and his being disowned going on. ]
no subject
Ah, no. Though I have been asked that. I am looking for spores. A survey, if you would.
[ Strange, yes - but it's cheap and efficient. For one single curious man, it's enough. ]
