This post is purely prophylactical, but How many of you remember being professional monster hunters or the like and would be willing to do it again? The monster I'm having in mind is something troll-like, extremly difficult to hurt, human-like speed and shape, I dunno about intelligence but it's no joke. Lotsa teeth, strong enough that you don't wanna get hit by it. Also, would your answer be different if you knew that what you're killing was a human once?

Don't know about professional, but there was fighting. If there's nobody else to do it, and you can, you don't have much of a choice, do you? Being human before shouldn't matter.

That's probably the safest route if you're not a fighter.

I'm mostly worrying over memory shit and how much of it can come true. I'm not willing to put accidentally importing a monster-virus past what Retrospec does at this point and I want at least one number to call in a worst case scenario, no matter how far-fetched it is right now.

I'm also still worried about what the hell's going on with my body, no matter what the doc's said. I mean, it's good there's probably no reason to worry right now, but with the last bits I remembered I might end putting a bounty on my own head in case I ever lose it too bad.

i think before there can be an answer to your last question there has to be an answer to this one: is it possible for whatever it is to go back to being human again?

Beats me. That's exactly why I'm asking that question now. If it's do or die and you hesitate not only you can be toast.

What I mean is- Heck, imagine coming to a shootout and right when it's high noon time you suddenly realize that you can't pull the trigger when you're aiming at another human after all! You can expect that your opponent won't have those qualms so you and whoever was close or behind you are now dead. ...something like that.

I wouldn't say that I was a professional hunter by any means.

But in my memories I've fought and killed several things along those lines. Complete with the caveat that the creatures in question were once humans but aren't any longer.

No. Or yes.
I remember chasing down a guy who turned himself into a monster. But he was shouting about how he'd save his friends from ME and that I was leaving him no other choice - I think I was a monster as well. Or at least had to do with what turned people into monsters and got infected somehow.
