[Open] It's Turkey month!
WHO: Eleanor Lamb and you!
WHERE: All over Recollé
WHEN: Throughout November
WHAT: Turkeys, exercise, tinkering, other stuff.
WARNINGS: Nothing jumps to mind.
One - Gobble Gobble
[Turkeys. Really? There were turkeys running loose in the city, and people were supposed to catch them. Because of course they were. And honestly, it had sounded like a pretty simple thing, until she realized using her TK on the birds might kill them.]
[Sure, they were destined for dinner, but she wasn't going to kill one herself! Especially not by accident.]
[So she could be found occasionally chasing one of the birds down, trying to heard them into corners or sometimes trying to trap one in a dead end. It was...going kind of well sometimes? Help?]
Two - Tinker Tinker
[On nicer days Eleanor could be found sitting at a park picnic table, with a large, round diving bell helmet resting on the table in front of her. She's pulled the electronics out of the inside of it, for the most part, and has them stretched out in front of her, absently tinkering with bits here and there.]
[At one point she presses the wrong thing and sends a loud burst of shrieking feedback through the helmet speakers that echos off the nearby trees and nearly sends her falling backwards out of her seat.]
Owow ow.
[She scramble to shut off the feedback, then gave a quick glance around at anyone nearby.]
Sorry, sorry.
Three - Insert clever commentary on acrobatics here.
[Eleanor was running out of ways to test her powers that felt like an exciting challenge. She'd gone through pretty much every climbing wall in the city at this point, and she could scale them with her eyes closed, backwards.]
[So she'd gone in search of other challenges, which brought her two the two massive trees in the city park. They were close enough together to be treated as a single object, really, and the branches were thick and tangled enough that climbing should be a challenge? She hoped.]
[So up the trees she went, jumping and bending and swinging as she scrambled between the old branches. Okay, this was at least more interesting than the walls were! And harder to predict, though she felt like she was getting the hang of it and-]
[And 80% of the way up she misjudged a distance between two branches and found herself swinging out into the nothingness next to the trees. Well.]
Shit!
[She cried out in surprise, half-twisting in the air as she snatched for the branch that was just out of reach, and then turned to tumble towards the ground. Oh this was going to hurt...]
[Just before she hit, she slammed her hands out, and there was a 'FWUMP' as her telekinesis crashed into the ground ahead of her, displacing the air but slowing her down enough that she hit the grass with a slap of pain rather than the snap of broken bones. Ow.]
[She laid there for a few seconds, then let out a long, low groan and rolled over onto her back to look up at the trees and the sky and...]
[Only to find someone standing over her. Oops? She managed a bit of a pained grin.]
...Hi?
Four - Retrospec or bust!
This does not make any sense.
[Eleanor declared this into the universe as she stood facing the mailbox that now stood where the Retrospec building had been only a few days before. How could an entire building just vanish?]
[She strode over to the mailbox and crouched down in front of it, tugging open her big shoulder bag purse and fetching out what looked like a Gopro camera and a weird series of bendable poles it could be attached to. ANd she started assembling them.]
[She wasn't going to stick it in the mailbox was she...?]
[A few closed prompts will follow in comments for some planned things, and if there's something you want to do that isn't said here, let me know! We can come up with it!]

For John Egbert
Hey you in here?
[She said as she poked her head inside.]
no subject
He hears her though and he turns his head, grinning before removing the snack and waving her over.]
Hey, you found it! Sorry, I would have come let you in but I was...[A gesture to his work.] Hey.
no subject
Hey, it's fine. I found it. And I know how that is. I lose days sometimes when I get really into a project.
no subject
I have definitely lost track of days and it doesn't help I'm working on a bit of a deadline. But maybe a break isn't a bad idea. It's not quite a lab, but I like to think mad science goes on in here, too.

[She turned and leaned down to scoop up a few papers, looking through them like she had any idea how to read the complicated music there.]
no subject
On average, how long do you think it takes a person to arrange a song?
no subject
You mean acoustics? [She glances up and shrugs.] I don't know. A few hours at least?
[Eleanor has no frame of reference for this question.]
no subject
[...] And since I am starting over entirely, I have about three weeks! So it is a long process to create and play something.
no subject
I suppose that makes sense, really. I guess I've never given it much thought just because it's...pretty beyond me. [Eleanor could build a radio or a record player but she couldn't make anything to play on it.]
Is that enough time to do it, then?
[As she asked, she turned and picked up another pile of clutter and started sorting it. Uh oh, she's going into cleaning mode...]

So, what do you need your lovely assistant to do today?
no subject
You're out of uniform, you know.
[And then she laughed, lifting up a pen and gesturing to the far side of the table.]
I'm not sure yet. Still working out some details.
no subject
[ it's not, but he's leaning in to see what she's working on, trying to keep out of the way even so. ]
And I can hang around until you figure it out?
no subject
[She snickered, trailing off as she looked over her diagrams again, then nodded.]
Sure. Honestly sometimes it helps for me to talk things out when I'm trying to figure them out, you know? Usually I just talk to myself but, well.
[She grinned.]
You know what they say about that.
no subject
[ HE TALKS TO HIMSELF ALL THE TIME... ]
no subject
[TIME TRAVEL IS WEIRD OKAY. She sets down the paper she's holding and then smooths out a much larger sheet of paper that was already laying there but had rolled up a bit. On it are some very intricate looking diagrams and schematics.]
So this is the drone. I've been working on these for a few months now and they're about as accurate as I think I can get them...
no subject
[ but he's looking at the diagrams now... ]

Turkey
Stalking bird?
no subject
[Eleanor tossed Yukiko a smile, then nodded towards where one of the errant birds had taken up residence in a tucked away corner of one of the buildings.]
Yeah. Every time I get near her she bolts though.
no subject
[Assuming you didn't just want to leap on it like a spider splicer.]
no subject
[Eleanor hesitated.]
I know it's dumb since she's going to be somebody's dinner but I'm a little afraid of hurting her.
[With great powers come accidentally killing a turkey trying to catch it?]
no subject
[This could be the lucky one that gets pardoned by the mayor!]
But if you're worried about it, maybe go get the tarp we used for camping out of the closet? We can use that to catch it in there.
no subject
[Eleanor grinned.]
Keep an eye on her, I'll be right back.
[And off she ran to fetch the tarp.]

[And then Eleanor plodded back up, unfolding the tarp as she came.]
How do you think we should do this?
