[The ghosts that are casually haunting the Retrospec population sure are troublesome, aren't they? If you know Minako, or just happen to see her around somewhere, you might notice that two particular ghosts(?) happen to be hanging around her more often than any other. Maybe you should ask her about them.]

I. FROSTY THE SNOWMAN...?
Anywhere; mid to late October

[The first ghost(?) is a mini snowman wearing a blue cap. You might see him:

A. At the Towers while Minako is shopping, sprinkling snow over all of the Christmas merchandise that's already being put out on the shelves;

B. Walkin behind Minako while she goes around the city doing errands, leaving little snowmen on the sidewalk every few steps she takes; or

C. Barreling straight for you with Minako's purse or files or whatever, cackling "hee ho!" very loudly while Minako chases him, murderous intent in her eyes.]

II. WILL O WISPS IN THE DISTANCE
Anywhere; mid to late October

[The second ghost(?) is a a pumpkin head in a cape, carrying a lantern. You might see him:

A. Pretending to be a Halloween decoration along a wall or elsewhere, before jumping out at you and laughing loudly.

B. Lighting small things on fire behind Minako's back.

C. Acting as Minako's lantern as she walks home while it's getting late.]

LUCY || HATS FOR HIDING HORNS

[Autumn is the time for hats and scarves! All homemade, of course, because Minako always does things homemade if she can, even if they imitate the latest fashions, but also because she has a few commissions from her website she needs to work on. So one evening, while keeping an ear out for anyone who needs help in the fog, she'll be knitting on the couch with some show on the TV, a big basket of yarn beside her and Koromaru at her feet, lazily batting at a strand of the stuff hanging from it.

She glances up when she senses someone, smiling in greeting like she always does. But her needles don't stop their click click clicking in the interim.]

Hi Lucy.

[Lucy had been at the grocery store, being Responsible. Mostly for tea and bread. The fog had cut her trip a bit short, and so here she was a bit early. Her shoes and socks were off, the cat was still leaning against her ankles, and the hood of her jacket was still pulled up to cover her horns. In the house.]

[Lucy blinked, shuffling closer to the couch while trying to avoid the cat-shaped tripping hazard.]

What are you making?

Right now? A hat. [Click click click click click.] It's supposed to have bunny ears on top, which is why it looks kind of weird.

CELINE || THE POWER OF PINK

[Minako waits outside of the employee bathroom, taking a quick glance at her wristwatch. It's almost time to clock in, but Celine has been in there for a while, getting changed...if she takes any longer, Minako might have to go ahead of her.]

Celine? Do you need helping getting the uniform on? We only have a few more minutes before our shift starts.

[ Celine is already fully dressed. She can't wait to take it off again. It's just so-- ugh! ]

Do you have this in another color?

[ She asks from behind the bathroom door. She is not ready to go out like this. She's starting to have doubts. Maybe she can survive by budgeting better and drinking shitty coffee. ]

TARR || THE PERFECT PUMPKIN

[Ahh, the weekend! What a wonderful time to go out and enjoy one's free time!

Or at least, that'd been the thought, making these plans to visit the pumpkin patch with Tarr. Unfortunately, she'd forgotten that everyone and their extended family is here too. Minako makes a dejected face as she gets nudged aside by a couple, brushing powdered sugar from the funnel cake the woman had been holding off her orange skirt.]

I'm sorry...I didn't expect it to be so crowded today.

[ Tarr looked like someone took a poor cat and tried to put them in something that they didn't like. Well, outside the fact that he couldn't puff his hair up or anything but still, he was half-hiding in his clothing - hoodie pulled up to hide his face, sleeves covering his hands, over-sized jacket over the hoodie. All it did though was make him look even more bulky as the fabric stretched across those shoulders, which in turn made people shy away once he stopped looking at the ground. Well, most people. Kids seem to actually gravitate towards him. ]

It's okay.

[ And to keep her from getting shuffled around by the press of people, he reached over to tug her closer to him so that the protective field of his bulk can help her. He wasn't trying to make a move or anything, he just knew that she was tiny and that tiny people got lost among a lot of other people. ]

Stay close, okay?

[She moves to his side without any fuss, looking up and nodding.]

Okay. Maybe if we go towards the back of the pumpkin patch, there'll be less people.

[Slightly cheered by this thought, she unfolds the map she'd snagged from the front gate, holding it out in front of her as she walks. She's trusting you to stop her from tripping over anything, Tarr.]

Yeah, it looks like there are three different pumpkin patch areas! And then we can visit the food fair after, see if there's anything that catches our eye.

It's not even Halloween yet, it's not time for Christmas merchandise...!

[It's a refrain that Shuji's repeated many, many times, and every year he's no closer to getting people to keep their holidays separate. But he still has to complain, if only to himself.

This is the first time that the snowmen have moved, though. Shuji freezes when he realizes that the snowman isn't another piece of winter merch.]

Uh - hi there?

[Jack Frost turns his big eyes to Shuji, waving enthusiastically.]

Hee ho!

[And promptly dumps a mini flurry of snow on top of his new friend's head.]

[That's not a good way to make friends at all! Shuji scrubs the snow out of his hair with his bare hands as quickly as possible.]

[Jack Frost dodges effortlessly, cackling and waving the letter tauntingly at the stranger-- but mostly at Minako behind her.]

["Don't you 'ho' me, you little brat!" Minako yells, and the chase begins anew. Maybe they'll come around the block again if you wait a bit, Émilie.]

[ Well, he's just more agile than she expected. Oh, he won't get away once she can get a hold of him. ]

Merde! You little...

[ She did think about chasing after him too... ]

[All Vera wanted to do was walk to the mall for a little stress-relieving shopping. Was it so much to ask that no more weird stuff happen to her on the brief trip? But no, instead she gets a face full of snow ghost who seems to be carrying a woman's purse? Either way, the force of their collision is enough to knock the heiress onto her butt.]

[The little snowman similarly splats onto the sidewalk, his little blue cap knocked askew from his head. He reaches up to adjust it, not too bothered, but then freezes when Minako's voice rings out.]

Vera! Are you alright?

[Fearing his master's wrath, Jack Frost ducks behind Vera, peering out behind her arm.]

[Vera groans, shaking her head as she sits up.]

Minako...? The fuck just happened?

Uh, you do know you have something following you, right?

[He looks at the creature with wariness in his eyes the moment he notices it.]

[She turns around to the left, and Pyro Jack moves to the right. Then she turns to the right, and Pyro Jack moves to the left.]

[...she absolutely knows she does. She just wants to have a little bit of fun.]

[ Poor Davey #suffers every time someone named Jack is nearby. It’s only fitting that in continues on even in shadow-y forms. No one must ever know about the pitch his yelp reached over a little ghosty jumping out at him ]

[Pyro Jack knows! Which means Minako knows. But Minako isn't here quite yet, so Pyro Jack grins an unnervingly wide grin and advances on Davey, waving his lantern menacingly.]

Hee...ho!

[ Why is his life like this. Why is recolle like this. ]

Aren't you little early to be shaking down people for candy?

[ He's still stepping back and waving his hand in peace because look. The last thing he needs this month is to be clocked in the head by what looks to be a solid looking lantern ]

IC - She seriously needs a better hat.

[ Katherine's first instinct, of course, is to jump out of the way of the spirit(?) charging at her. Its not quick enough, though, as the strap of the purse slides across her head...and hooks onto something underneath the hat, eliciting a startled and actually somewhat angry shout from Katherine as she instinctively pulls back. ]

Hey!

[ Its not enough force to pull the hat off, but its definitely enough to show that there's something under it, the material pulled in a wa that it reveals something standing out on the other side of her head as well. ]

[Jack Frost chortles and dashes off, disappearing around the corner. Minako slows down upon seeing Katherine, though, panting in exertion.]
