CLOSED || Shall we investigate?

WHO: Franklin ([personal profile] freeskies) and Rosalind ([personal profile] originallutece)
WHERE: Recollé U's Physics Lab
WHEN: 10/01, after 1.
WHAT: Franklin has something he wishes to get Ros's opinion on, so it's off to the lab.
WARNINGS: None!

[As fun as their chats are thus far, it's business that ultimately brings him to the lab to speak to Rosalind. Though his words show a flair for the dramatic, his clothes don't quite match up, with a simple button down, sleeves rolled up, and a pair of jeans.

Perhaps, one day, he will be as fancy as the pirate his profile pic shows. But for now, he's a man with a sidebag, for his laptop, and the many, many notebooks of paper he's got for note keeping.

The physics lab wasn't hard to find, after digging into the map of the university, and comparing that to Dr. Lutece's campus profile. And he's eager to get a second opinion on the video he has, either way. It was a lark he'd decided to follow after their first conversation. Now, he was glad he had.

He knocks on the door.]

Shall I let myself in?
originallutece: awful tough lately (talk; you've been acting)

[She mistakes him for a student at first, and opens her mouth to dismiss him: come back later, I've a meeting already scheduled. But there's something in the confidence way he stands that makes her pause, and she realizes--]

Mr. Brewer?
originallutece: yes i did it in ink, do you want to see? (talk; just finished the crossword)

[Oh, good grief. She isn't upset, per se, but there's a twinge of disappointment in the back of her mind. Still, Rosalind nods towards the empty seat across her desk, settling back.]

Well. You're a good deal younger than I expected, though that in turn speaks highly of your investigative abilities.
originallutece: but not for long i promise you (talk; PUZZLED)

[Pleasantries are nice and all, but this is what she's really after. She sets the USB into her computer immediately, leaning forward eagerly.]

Who took the video?
originallutece: don't tell anyone but i'm kinda into this whole cyndi lauper business (talk; shit that's mildly catchy)

[She falls silent, watching it in its entirety. The only time she stops to make a comment is early on, when Kaiba seems intent on stepping out of the vehicle--]

For crissake, Kaiba . . .

[--but no, she's silent as she watches. Only once the video ends does she glance back towards Franklin.]

Were you sent on one of those missions?
originallutece: please can we just leave the world to burn (talk; here's the reasons this won't work)

I don't know much more than you, but I'll do my best to help you. What questions do you want to start with?
originallutece: a flying cityyyy? (talk; do you want to build)

[personal profile] originallutece 2017-10-10 04:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Not . . . well. There are a fair few theoretical thoughts on things like parallel universes. Less so for things like past lives and melding minds. That goes into the realm of firm fantasy . . . the mind is still a relative unknown, however. I wouldn't call what's happening to us impossible-- clearly not, as it is happening to us. But it's unlike anything we've ever thought about before.
originallutece: a flying cityyyy? (talk; do you want to build)

[personal profile] originallutece 2017-10-13 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
Do you have one in mind?
originallutece: (talk; hmm--?)

[personal profile] originallutece 2017-10-17 07:24 pm (UTC)(link)
[She frowns at that.]

What do you mean? What did you forget?
originallutece: a flying cityyyy? (talk; do you want to build)

[personal profile] originallutece 2017-10-19 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh. Oh, he'd forgotten and then remembered, just as Katherine had. Rosalind hums softly, considering that.]

Did anyone try and convince you of the truth?
