WHO: Yoon-sung Lee, David Song, and Minako Arisato
WHERE: Yoon-sung's huge three story house, in the gym he probably has in there.
WHEN: Early October
WHAT: Pay back for that one Retrospec post Yoon-sung made goes a tiny bit haywire.
WARNINGS: None foreseen, will change if anything comes up!
[Thanks to visiting both Émilie and Vera in their lavish houses in the past, Minako feels...well, less nervous about coming to Yoon-sung's. It helps that David will be there, certainly, but she also brought along something she can use as an excuse to keep busy, should she get the jitters once she's inside.
The excuse is kind of heavy, though, since the crockpot in her hands is full to the brim with chicken and dumpling stew for the guys to eat for dinner after the sparring session. She balances it on the top of her thigh while she rings the door bell.]
Hellooo~? Anyone home? Don't tell me you guys forgot I was coming today...

Come on in, Minako.
[ Despite it's fancy exterior - which actually wasn't that fancy with the two-tone wood siding and enclosing fencing - it was still fancy in a more comfortable way then people might have guessed. Past the narrow entrance hall - shoes lined up on one side and house slippers on the other - the building opened up to an open floor plan with chic white furniture - complete with a gray long hair cat that looked disinterested in the newcomer - mismatched throw pillows, a huge entertainment center hogging up a corner and a sunken dining and kitchen area. Above the kitchen was another area dedicated to gaming, behind the kitchen were sliding glass doors hung with curtains and three other closed doors leading to other parts of the house. A second set of glass doors had been left open to the right and a few steps above the living space which led to a swimming pool.
Once the door was closed, Yoon-sung put the cat down and reached over to help her with the crockpot. ]
Here, let's get this set up. David! Minako is here!
no subject
He curses under his breath when Yoon-sung yells for him, having finally found a casual enough outfit that wasn't covered in cat hair and dust from cleaning (though really it's more perceived than anything) - and slips out, grinning once he sees Minako coming in. ]
... hey.
no subject
[Except at the same time Yoon-sung noooo, she was going to take care of that. But now that he's got it in hand, she's free to properly slip into a pair of guest slippers and greet the kitty. Her attention is quickly diverted when David comes in, though, and she lights up, offering a little grin back.]
Hey, you.
[First boyfriend jitters makes her wonder if it's okay, but she goes for it anyways, stepping over and stretching up to place a kiss on his cheek.]
Brought you guys dinner! I need my crockpot back, though, so I'll have to be impolite and move it into some of your guys' tupperware before I leave.
no subject
[ She shouldn't worry too much. All Yoon-sung was going to do was take the heavy thing over to the kitchen area and plug it in while making sure it was sitting some where that wasn't going to cause problems. He'll leave everything else up to her.
He glanced at David and doesn't even bother to hide the small smile at the sight of him trying to look good without looking like he dressed up. Having a couple long-hair cats often was heck on their clothing so when they were staying at home, they never bothered with cleaning all the fuzz off their clothes.
Dinah had decided to wind around the newcomer, especially since she could smell a hint of food on the person. Meanwhile Cheshire remained in his spot, watching the humans with that long distant stare of a cat that was deciding if moving was worth it. ]

[ He's surprised that she swooped in for the cheek kiss, but he does respond in kind after Yoon-sung took the crockpot away, pulling her close before kissing the top of her head. If she was okay with it, he could be more affectionate. At this point eh was just trying to test the waters and know where she stood with it.
He does nudge her forward after a moment, though not before picking up Dinah so nobody got caught underfoot. Though he wouldn't be surprised if Cheshire tried. ]
That's fine, it's probably for the best anyway. Did you want a tour or should we save that for afterward?
no subject
I'd love a tour! If we end it at the gym, that should give Yoon-sung enough time to mentally prepare.
[Minako shoots a tiny, teasing smile to the man in question.]
Are you sure you still want to do this?
no subject
[ The man in question was pouting, a look that often times won him a little favor from some women that he knew. He didn't think that it would work on Minako, but he wasn't going to let go of a winning move just because of one or two people not falling for it. As it was, he was going to make sure that the crockpot was set on a low setting before brushing his hands off and shrugging. ]
If we skipped it now, we'll never have a match because something new will happen, right?
no subject
[ David flashes Yoon-sung a grin, ignoring the pout. He sets Dinah aside, even if she's probably going to follow them anyway. He does shift a little on his feet once the cat's down and steps next to Minako again - and slipping his hand into hers. ]
no subject
You say that like you don't expect more sparring matches from me in the future. This is only the first of many!
[The kitchen is where she imagines she'll spend a lot of time when she visits, simply because that's where she's most comfortable, and so she takes the first steps there, peering in and admiring how much counter space there is.]
Wow...
no subject
[ Said with an even bigger pout. No offense to her skills, but Yoon-sung didn't think that he was ready to spar with anyone. He already had a problem with trying to keep his head while sparring with David, and he didn't want to make a mess out of a friendship through his weird fighting skills.
The kitchen had a built in cupboard in the far wall while the counter space hid a stove top and under the counter was the fridge and a wine chest. A microwave and oven in part of the wall and there were more places for dishes and other gear hidden by clever panels. Yoon-sung stepped to the side, reaching down to catch Cheshire as the gray ball of fluff snuck around determined to jump on the counter. ]
I take it you like it?
no subject
And there's the prodigal son.
no subject
[She leans forward a bit to meet Cheshire's eye level, but not reaching out to pet just yet.]
He's beautiful. He's the boss of the apartment, huh. [And then in a quiet murmur to Cheshire.] Nice to meet you, I'm Minako. I'm sorry for intruding.
no subject
[ While they have cooked simple things during those times they did not go out for food, it was mainly used by the housekeeper for making staples for the week, and probably for her own household. Yoon-sung didn't mind that; at least someone got a use out of it. ]
But if you ever want to use it, go right ahead, I won't mind.
[ Cheshire did not seem like he cared much for being stopped in his attempt to gain the countertop. He wiggled around, tail lashing back and forth against Yoon-sung's side. He rubbed his hand over the cat's ears and huffed, putting the cat down. His tail flicking back and forth, Cheshire sat down and gave the humans a look of utter betrayal and then started licking his front paws. Yoon-sung chuckled. ]
He likes to think he rules, but that's a cat for you.
no subject
[ He'd be the first to admit it. It wasn't like he had done much cooking while in college or even before that, either. Probably shouldn't have taken it for granted, once he thought about it. ]
Same. You know I'm more than willing to try anything at least once.
[ ... Smooth.
He does chuckle a little at Cheshire acting like a brat, but that was to be expected, even with new company. ]
Dinah's not much better, but she's more likely to act like she's attention-starved despite the contrary.
no subject
[She smothers a laugh into her hand, because it's not polite to laugh at cats, but Cheshire is too adorable anyways.]
At least they seem more better behaved than Fang. Our cat is so grumpy.
[She takes one last look through the kitchen, promising herself to make use of it at some future time, and then turns with a grin.]
So! Where's the next part of the tour?
no subject
[ Though he was already making plans. Yoon-sung might have terrible luck with women, but he sees no reason why his bodyguard shouldn't have some romance in his life. Which meant that he may just invite her over while David was busy just to make something cute for David. After all, it wouldn't hurt, right?
Cheshire finished with his mini-snit and gave one last flick of his tail before stalking off to another part of the house. No doubt he was going to attempt his luck when the humans were else where. After all, he needed to see what that smell was. ]
Why don't you show her the upstairs? I bet she would like it.
no subject
[ There's a pause before he turns to narrow his eyes slightly at Yoon-sung again, this time with more of an exaggerated scowl. ]
Sure. I can do that. [ He supposes that he should to that anyway - just for the sake of getting the tour over with so they can get to the main event. ]
no subject
Let's go, then? I'll have to borrow your bathroom to change into my gym clothes anyways.
no subject
We've got bedrooms up here along with an office and a computer room if we need to playtest at all for work, as well as some storage in case. Bathroom's actually over here [ He ducks around to a room with its doorway underneath the stairs and opens it - ] if you wanted to change first before we continued?
no subject
Yeah! I'll only be a minute.
[She ducks into the bathroom, her humming and shuffling audible through the door, and since this is Minako, her side of the conversation isn't going to drop just because she's changing.]
Ah, I remember now! Yoon-sung said something about you guys hanging out in the basement a lot. What do you usually play as?
[Her guess is a paladin.]
no subject
[ The bathroom was right there, so it wasn't like Yoon-sung couldn't hear her. He looked amused at the whole thing, wondering how she was going to react to the sprawling mess that was their apartment. Sure it was a house really, but the way the layout was, it had probably started life as a garage or something odd like that.
Take for instance the bathroom. It was set up a lot like European or Asian restrooms - the one part for the toilet, linens, and sink with another door that lead into the shower and tub area. It was large enough to serve as bedroom as well if he decided to remodel in all honesty. ]
We have our avatars for server mode, NPC mode and then messing around mode.
no subject
The NPCs are more just for giving out quests - playtesting I generally take fighter builds to make sure we can't break it too hard with sheer damage, and I've got a paladin and a mage build for messing around with otherwise.
no subject
A minute later, she's unlocking the door and stepping out, dressed in a tank top and leggings, sweeping her hair into a ponytail.]
Ready to go~
no subject
[ Yoon-sung likes the trickier characters, what can he say? He also grins at her re-appearing, nodding with his chin at the bathroom. ]
Never expected it to be that big, right?
no subject
Anyway, let's do a quick tour of the upstairs and then we can get to the training room.
no subject
Yeah! I'm kind of curious how far out over the city you guys can see from your rooms, it must be a nice view.
[Aaah that's so many stairs, though...well, might as well get her blood pumping a bit before the match?]
Race you up the stairs!
[And she takes off with a laugh.]
no subject
Once there, he shows off the gaming area and both of the boys' bedrooms (ignoring any looks Yoon-sung might be giving him when they're in his room briefly), before stepping out to the deck to give Minako a chance to check out the view before they went back downstairs to the training room. ]
new comment spam for training~
While David showed her around, Yoon-sung had changed into some sweats, even if they were of a higher quality than what people normally thought as sweats. He also cleared out some of the debris from the last session they had down here; usually the housekeeper didn't bother with the basement having actually told him that she wasn't going to mess any where near anything as expensive as his cars. By the time David and Minako joined him, he had finished with the clean up and was doing a few stretches. ]
So, what do you think of my humble home?
no subject
It's beautiful. Makes me wish I could stay longer tonight to hang out with you two.
[But she already knew coming today that she'd have to duck out for work, alas.]
You ready for this?
no subject
Regardless, he stops and lets out a huff of air, standing between the two. ]
Alright, you two. This is gonna be a clean fight. First to tap out loses, grappling is fair game.
no subject
[ He was half-joking, givning his arms a final shake before settling into a loose stance facing Minako. He was use to fighting David and was use to random sparring with others, but he wasn't sure what to expect with Minako. She practiced with David, he knew that much, but he didn't know how good she was. And he couldn't just go into full commando mode if he wasn't sure she could take his blows. ]
It'll be a win-win, right?
no subject
[She slides into her own fighting stance, giving him a little grin. Is she confident? A little bit. Everything that the two men have told her is that Yoon-sung isn't as diligent as David would like him to be, and while that doesn't necessarily equate him to being terrible, it does mean she has the upper hand as far as training goes.
And this is supposed to be a beatdown, after all.]
Here I come!
[And with that, she rushes forward going for her favorite one-two jab and sidekick opening.]
no subject
[ He says that with a pout even as he braced himself for her attack. The two quick jabs were easy enough to block with his arm, and as for her sidekick, well, that was just a simple leg block. He should follow it up with blows of his own, but he hesitated, and instead bounced back for a little room. ]
Are you guys really sure this is okay?
no subject
[Him backing up works perfectly for Minako, whose whole fighting style is based on 'a little room' that lets her legs do the talking. She continues on the offensive, dancing closer for more testing jabs before she pivots and delivers a swift kick in the general vicinity of his stomach.]
And if you're afraid to hurt me, don't be!
no subject
[ What he needs to do was to focus on the fight and not anything else, but a part of him just didn't want to touch her. It was annoying the crap out of him so as she pivots, he was moving in an attempt to dodge the blow. It didn't work all well, but he was getting better at judging how to keep himself from getting hit too hard.
But then something hit him, a flash of a memory, a bunch of guys laying on the ground, a woman heading for him, the blow to his gut - and Yoon-sung was shaking his head trying to focus on the now. ]
Time. Wait.
no subject
What's wrong.
no subject
Yoon-sung?
[She circles around David to get a look a better look at the young CEO, brow furrowing with worry.]
no subject
[ He closed his eyes and squatted down, not wanting to fall on his face while the memory played itself out. The pressure of the mask over the lower half of his face, the way he just took out the two men, and then the woman. Blocking, dodging, him avoiding touching her until he found a way to neutralize her. ]

... should we call it, then?
