READY: START Team Yzma roster: Carmen Sandiego, Dave Strider, Elizabeth, Emil Vasterstrom, Juzo Sakakura, Lucy/Kaede, Penelo, Seto Kaiba, Shouto Todoroki, Souji Seta, Yato. The city's been under siege for what feels like hours. It's only on August 3rd that you learn it's been a matter of days. Monsters begin pulling Retrospec users through portals left and right, large gaping holes in reality that spit you out in any given location around the city. However, just as you think you're finally getting away, a large blue portal opens and you're snatched up. No amount of fighting and struggling will free you and soon the pressure is too great to ignore. Darkness fills your vision and the last thing you may remember is the sound of thunder... This is the Team Yzma Event Log. You are free to toplevel and thread as you choose on this log, but only team members may utilize this log. Important links to mod toplevels are: Mod Questions & Participation Reporting. Please be aware you are responsible for reporting your own participation & objective completion efforts with links; the moderators will try to keep up with threads, but as we are currently running several teams with participation, we require you to keep us up to date! [The dragon Lucy was actually less startled by than the...whatever the fuck this thing was. It did seem to cast light and warmth, though, and Souji wasn't alarmed by its presence. It was probably safe to sit here.

Besides, Lucy had things to ask him.]

Some, I guess.

[When she sat, it was still at least out of arm's length. Mutual arm's length, she wasn't going to punch him, look at what good manners she has.]

[ As long as she doesn't give him shit like she does with Juzo then Souji is fine with sitting at arm's length next to him. ]

Now's a good time to bust them out then, I think.

[Hey. Hey. He hasn't had a bad reaction to Lucy untying his shoes! Or...merited that to begin with. Souji's fine.

He can deal with pissy cats he's fine.]

Have you heard about Kuchisake-onna?

[ She seemed to listen to Souji when he used the roadtrip dad voice so maybe she'll listen again?? That gives Souji hope. ]

Isn't she the ghost who was murdered by her husband?

[ He's not too familiar with this story. He just knows it's a Japanese ghost story and since moving to America when he was seven, he didn't get to hear too many of these as a kid. ]

[A grumbling mutter.]

Lots of them were.

[Lucy didn't have much time to sit and listen to these either, but when she did she always gravitated towards the morbid stories.]

He cut her mouth from ear to ear, so she wore a face mask.

And she just wandered around as a ghost with the mask?

[long_live_the_queen]

And scissors. When she met someone she'd ask "am I pretty?" If they said yes, she'd pull off the mask and ask them again. If they said yes still, she'd cut their face to look like hers.

If they said no, she'd just kill them. No questions asked.

[A straightforwards response, in her definitely unbiased opinion. Why wasn't killing people who dragged your appearance with scissors socially acceptable??]

[ That sounds like your typical ghost story... ]

Well, that's not very fair at all. That's a lose-lose situation for the person either way.

[Lucy shrugs.]

She's a monster. What did you expect?

[tarotcards]

I don't know, but that's more depressing than scary. Think of how many of her victims becoming just like her if they also get their faces cut up.

[She was quiet for a long moment. The seconds tick by into almost a minute, and Lucy doesn't make eye contact.]

You didn't ask for a nice story.

[tarotcards]

[ Uh-oh, did Souji say something wrong? ]

What's wrong?

[Ha ha h a getting too close to feelings right now oops let's redirect.

This will probably come up again when Souji ranks up more.]

...when you summoned that dragon, where was the gun?

[Or a crystal, or a funny mark on his arm. Lucy's been around so many people who summon dragons specifically in different ways by now she basically has a mental checklist.]

[ It's okay, Lucy. Souji doesn't like talking about his feelings either so they can just both avoid it. ]

Gun?

[ ....... wat ]

[What do you mean you're all from different games??]

When Minako called a dragon out of her head, she pointed a gun like this.

[Lucy makes a gun shape with her fingers and aims it at her temple.]

Blue fire came out instead of a bullet. Same kind of blue.

[Retrospec blue, even. Suspicious.]

Do you mean Minako Arisato?

[ Is this the same senpai that he knows?? ]

[A grumbling huff. Lucy makes a lot of those.]

Do you know any other Minakos?

[She puts her hand down.]

Yes.

[tarotcards]

[ Well, Souji had to ask because... ]

I never knew she could summon creatures as well, so if she uses a gun then I don't know anything about it.

I only use the tarot cards for my summons.

She said it was called an Evoker.

[It basically gave Lucy a heart attack the first time she saw Minako use it.]

Why is yours so different?

[tarotcards]

[ Hmmm, Souji wonders if this is a different type of summoning but... ]

Did she refer to her dragon as a "Persona"? Or anything along those lines?

She did, before it appeared.

[And Lucy lineback tackled her into the sand.]

Then the monsters I summon are the same as hers but...

[ And he shakes his head. ]

I don't know why hers is so different. I've never seen a gun being used in any of my memories.

...it's weird.

[Why is this so weird. Why is everything so weird. Why can't she just go back to how things were, when she didn't have extra arms floating out of her back and eventual hideous migraines.]

[ He nods his head in agreement. ]

I'll ask her when we return... but asides from that, how are you feeling?

[A blink, and a slightly awkward pause.]

I'm fine.

[Lucy's almost never fine when she says that. Her head hurt, phantom bruises and lacerations still itched at her arms and side. She was tired and lonely.

This was not really fine.]
