Park; all month
[ At random points in the month, Koutarou goes to the park to sketch. He sits under a tree, or on a bench, or in the middle of the grass, and as time passes he might end up filling the one he’s working in and puts it aside to use the pages in another. ]

The Inkwell; Primarily 3-8
[ Every night during his sister’s so called “visit” he goes to The Inkwell. It’s not like he gets drunk because his tolerance is seriously high, and he knows to be careful so he won’t get a hangover. Of course he’s sketching again, but that doesn’t need to stop you. He’ll look up if he’s addressed, and sometimes he’ll also pause to order another drink or stare out blankly ahead of him, where he sits at the counter. ]

[ You see a lot when you go outside, and Koutarou is just about done with any commissions that he has lined up at the moment, so he has time to be out a lot. Because he was stressed prior to and during the week of the 4th and painted non-stop for hours on end, and has a lot of work that needs to be done at the end of the month more or less done.

So yeah, when you go outside you might meet someone who you might know, and one of those people is a starting-to-become-familiar red-head, and Koutarou heads over to him. ]

[Sometimes you go outside and see your crush's cousin who you're starting to be actual friends with, and you light up just seeing him.]

[ It helps that they're probably from the same...whatever that thing with their memories even is. ]

Yeah, pretty okay. I hope you are doing okay.

[That sure is a thing that they're from.]

Not too bad, all things considered. Wish they didn't start with flowers for getting our colors back, having a normal sky would be nice... but I guess I can't complain that they're coming back.

The sky and paint, I think is most important. But it would be nice to have them back completely. Still, yes, you're right.

[ But he's a painter, he needs paints to have the colors they're supposed to have. ]

I know you received that bingo card as well. Did you get very startled by the alarm too?

I was already up. Insomnia. How much have you got filled out?

[ He frowns, but honestly, he knows what it’s like to have insomnia. It’s not just as easy as “just go to sleep”. ]

Yeah, me too, though I was working. [ Because he didn’t want to think about certain things and he has been working far too much lately. ] Not very much yet, but a few squares, at least.

The center square is still a problem, but I should be able to get a bingo. I haven't done the 'ode to Janet' square, but I'm confident in my ability to write a poem that I don't mind sharing with somebody else.

[He did go back-and-forth with poems on Kurama's post where everyone could see, for one thing.]

The center square... Yeah, that one... Is it something you're not inclined to do? [ Koutarou is not going to do his, unless, maybe, if he gets every other square filled. ] I haven't done that one either. Perhaps.. would you mind doing it together with me? I'm not sure if co-writing something can classify as showing it to someone but it might..?

Though I should probably mention that usually I'm not confident enough to show most of my writing to anyone besides Chuuya or Hitori...

[ He likes writing sometimes, but he's not necessarily good at it. And maybe sometimes he gets the courage to try a poem at one of those cafes he goes to listen to poetry at but...yeah. ]

It's not a problem with the center square, it's just with getting a bingo that includes it.

But sure, I'll co-write with you! It doesn't hurt to bounce ideas back and forth. And if you're embarrassed, I can share it for you and not mention that you wrote part of it.

Your apartment sounds fine. It's got more space than my dorm room, I'm pretty sure.

[ He falls silent for a few moments. It's unintentional. He just had a very unexpected memory pass through his head. ]

Ah, sorry.

[ He shakes his head and starts heading toward his apartment. That was weird. ]

Do you enjoy your dorm?

[Memory regains are always awkward when you're talking to someone in person. He gets it.]

I like being close enough to class that I can walk there, and I hate everything else about it. Everyone else on campus is younger than me and it's like a constant reminder of how long I've taken to get through college.

Is it that bad being around people younger than you?

You could try to not think of it as being a bad thing, maybe?

Right now, it's part of my motivation. When I graduate, I won't have to live with teenagers ever again. I can live with people my own age.

It is pretty nice to live with people around the same age as yourself, yeah.

[ They have reached Burch Hills, now they just need to get to the building Koutarou lives in. At least they head in among the apartment buildings. ]

Do you have a lot of time left until you graduate?

Two more years. I can make it.

[He's so worried that he won't make it after managing two years.]

That's not that long, after all. Hopefully this thing with Retrospec doesn't add too much pressure.

[ Because sometimes, the things that happens can be stressful, he knows that.

He pushes in the code to the door of his building, holding it open so Shuji can enter. ]

Would you prefer the stairs or the elevator? I live on the third floor.

Stairs. I'm not a total weenie.

[He enters the apartment building, murmuring 'thanks' when Koutarou holds open the door.]

I didn’t say you were. Some people simply prefer it.

[ Koutarou tends to take the stairs unless he absolutely has to take the elevator, but he knows those who takes the elevator. ]

You wouldn't be the first person to accuse me of being a weenie. If you said I was.

[Koutarou is a good person and too good for this game.]

I’m not saying that you are and I am not going to, either.

[ His smile is meant to be assuring, at least. He fishes up his keys while they go up the last flight of stairs. ]
