Kurt (Spoil the ending of a movie)
Looking around for people sitting by themselves, Pen slips into the theater and spots a target. A guy that's not super tall and intimidating, looks to be around her age, and has a kind of chill vibe to him. Walking over she gestures to a seat a couple down from him.]
Hey man, are you saving that for anyone?
[It's not a bad seat either, so it's not that weird that she's asking, is it?]
no subject
Kurt has a big bucket of popcorn that he's eating from as he's watching. He's a little surprised that someone's coming up to sit next to him, but he has no problem with it, and he responds with a chill nod.]
I was saving it for the air, but I think it's cool with letting you have it. [Kurt responds jokingly.]
no subject
Thanks dude.
[Putting her feet up, she grins at the screen as the very, very old previews begin to roll.]
Ever seen this movie before? It's such a classic.
no subject
Nope! [He rubs his hands together excitedly.] I'm so hyped for it... Oh man, have you seen it?

Aria (Chocobo Racing)
They'd agreed to meet down at the beach, and that's where she'd find Pen.]
Hey! [Waving, Pen trots up with a quick grin.] Thanks for coming. I've made the arrangements for the rental, if you're still cool with a Chocobo race?
no subject
Which prompted her to a little digging into things like "Do chocobos buck?" and "Chocobo related injuries". You can't blame a girl for wanting to be a little prepared.
When she gets to the beach, Pen seems to find her easily. Smiling, she nods.] Hey, and yeah. I've got no problem. I came prepared for it at least, might as well do it!
[God, she hopes she doesn't fall off. But she's got a first-aid kit in her pack just in case.]
no subject
Good. Figure it's best to just this square out since it's easy. And then maybe we can hang? There's a great pizza place nearby.
Leo (Noodle Sculpture)
Hopefully that doesn't keep him from getting in? Because it's probably pretty weird looking...]
no subject
What’d you do, buy out the whole city? This thing’s gonna end up bigger than both of us.
no subject
[Okay she may have sounded a little defensive but...]
I mean, just one store. Wasn't sure what we needed to make it work. Also got a couple of hot glue guns to make it stick together.
no subject
[ It may sound like Leo had a plan. He definitely did not. ]
But hey, as long as we’re prepared, who am I to judge? Where are we doing this, anyway? Beach, or like, an actual pool?

Minako (Shopping for Jim and a nice lunch in costume)
Pulling into the parking lot of the big shopping center, she hopped out and trotted over to where her friend was waiting.]
Sorry I'm behind. Hard to drive in a witch's dress. Hope you weren't here too long.
no subject
[Driving in a giant poofy dress is also difficult...some sections of her dress are a bit wrinkled from sitting, in fact. She'll have to iron that out later.]
So! What should we do first, shopping or lunch?
no subject
[Grinning, Pen sweeps the hat off her head.]
I think shopping first? Get that out of the way. Then lunch.
no subject
[Minako is very conscious of how many people are staring at them at the moment, but she's used to getting stares. So she just flashes onlookers a blinding smile, and glides forward towards the stores.]
Are you going to go the cheap route, or the gag gift route?

For Freya (Spar with someone)
Yo. You ready?
no subject
[Her face splits in a slow, excited grin.] Am I. Really, how could I turn down personal lessons from miss little spearmaster herself?
[And she's honestly excited. Freya's always enjoyed anything resembling fighting far more than's probably normal. The fact that her girlfriend's willing to spar with her and teach her's just another point in her favor.]
no subject
You asked, you know. Who am I to turn down a request from you, of all people.
[A shrug, the long cane still whirling.]
Unfortunately, unless the rec center has a staff, I've just got the one spear meaning we'll have to take turns or use different weapons for the main event. Which should be fine. I remember how to use these now too.

For Alison (Use your Powers around Someone New)
Meeting up at the park was easy enough, so that was where she'd asked Ali to meet her. At one of the gates.]
Hey! Sorry, hope I didn't keep you waiting. [She says, sliding up on a long skateboard.] Thanks for coming out.
For Vera (Caroling and other nonsense)
Hey, come outside. I need your help with something. If she was foolish enough to actually open the door? Then she'd be in for a real shocker. Pen, in her exercise clothes, holding a boombox.]
Okay! You ready?
no subject
[She was just getting ready to go out for dinner, but if Pen needs her for something, she can spare a few minutes. And she's already here? That's a little presumptuous, don't you think?
Either way she'll take a step outside and take in... whatever it is she's looking at right now.]
Pen...? The hell is this?
no subject
Bingo things. A show, and then I need your help with something. Shouldn't take any more than like...ten minutes.
[She presses the boombox button and it begins blaring a familiar song. Just the instrumentals. Because Pen is starting to sing in a well trained contralto...]

Knock Knock Penelo
[SLAM.]
~Any other...guy...~
[Eleanor's voice trailed off and she sighed as she looked at the closed door. Well, that had gone about as well as the last three places, really. She couldn't blame them though? If someone had shown up caroling a rickroll, she'd probably have slammed the door too! But really, they could let her get through a whole verse, right?]
[She wasn't sure whether or not it counted if she didn't, really. She'd certainly gone all out for it though, she'd dug up a trench coat and sunglasses, printed out fake sheet music to read from, and set off to annoy people.]
[It probably didn't help that she couldn't really sing.]
[She clicked the music off on her phone, ran the video back to the beginning, then headed to the next door. She'd do one more, that had to be enough...]
[*Knock Knock*]
no subject
The young woman on the other side doesn't look familiar or anything, but she doesn't look like a salesperson or anything.]
Uh...Hi? Can I help you?
[This better not be Jehovah's Witnesses...]
no subject
Hello! You don't know me, I'm just...going caroling. In July. I need a moment of your time and...I am rather sorry about this.
[Eleanor's accent was definitely worse when she was embarrassed, it seemed. But not so embarrassed it was going to stop her!]
[And then she clicked her phone on and a certain song started playing.]
[Eleanor tapped out the beat with her foot, holding up her homemade carol music.]
