(OOC: So this is a catch-all log for Augustine Sauveterre's bingo antics. Starters will be below this post.

Ritsu [Have a surfing race]

[megabond]

[The next day after meeting Ritsu, Augustine is now at the beach again tackling on another bingo activity. Right now, he is paying the owner a fee on renting two surfboards, which are the requirements for this activity.

And once he obtains them, he waits for the young man to arrive.]

[strayknight]

[Ritsu looks really out of his element, he isn't a beach person and after being here once he is having a hard time believing he's here again.]

...You're here.

[megabond]

[Hearing Ritsu's voice is enough for him to turn around and sees him in his usual tired self.]

Oh, you made it.

[Augustine then approaches him and gives a surfboard to Ritsu.]

I managed to rent two of these boards for the race.

[strayknight]

[With a yawn he nods to the other and looks at the board as he takes in his hands.]

So...we are really doing this?

[megabond]

Well, if we want to get this square on our cards, I think we do.

But just in case, we'll try to do a 30-minute practice before the race. Besides, we don't know how to surf, so we might as well do a little warm-up.

[strayknight]

Okay...

How would you warm up, I've never been on one before?

[megabond]

[He then shows a book that is somehow about how to surf and offers it to the young man.]

For starters, we should try to take a few stretches to prepare ourselves. Then, we have to row our boards onto an incoming wave at the waters. There, we should practice how to balance ourselves without falling over during 30 minutes.

[strayknight]

[...why? Ritsu looks confused and then takes the book and looks.]

You...researched this?

Well, I wouldn't call it that. Besides, I only read it to familiarize myself to surfing again.

Like I said, it's been a long time since I use a surfboard.

[strayknight]

So you have surfed before then?

Mm...I see. So we stretch?

[He didn't put on sunscreen...did he? Oh well.]

[megabond]

Yes. During my spring break in Paris during my college years. My friend wants me to surf as some of the iniciation.

[He then makes a few stretches in order to prepare himself.]

Well, it's just a way to avoid injuring ourselves. Besides, I'm a little out of shape from staying in my office and apartment all day.

[strayknight]

...Paris? [This guy did some traveling huh?

Moving to stretch too he watches the waves and can only assume...he's going to drown.]

Do you not go out other places?

[megabond]

Yes, that's where I study for college.

I do, actually, but not that often. I think it's because of my work schedule that always disallows me to go out.

[Not to mention he has to deal with the investigations regarding the app itself.]

[strayknight]

That's pretty far.

Sounds like a lot of work.

[Too much for Ritsu at least.]

So...do we just swim out?

[megabond]

I agree, but at least living afar payed off in the end.

[Not to mention how his life in Paris changed his views to his dream job and as a person.]

Somehow, yes. We have to use our arms to row our boards to the waves after all.

[strayknight]

Seems so?

[Ritsu hasn't left here so he wouldn't know too much.]

So you can swim really well?

[megabond]

Yes. Not only I managed to get the first degree in animal biology, but I made some new friends there.

[Which is for some reason, he has trouble contacting them through phone lately.]

Yes. My father taught me how to swim when I was a child and ever since it became really useful at my part-time job in high school.

[strayknight]

Not too bad then.

[That is kind of weird...]

Okay just needed to know.

[In case he starts to drown.]

[megabond]

[Then once they are done with the stretching, Augustine then picks up his rental surfboard.]

Now that's done, should we head over the waters now?

[strayknight]

[Ritsu grabs his own and looks a little unsure about this.]

Okay.

[He follows the other and stands at the water.]

[megabond]

[Once they are the waters, Augustine decides to go first as he jumps onto his surfboard and rows to the nearest wave.]

Remember, it doesn't matter if which one of us wins. As long we complete this, the tiles in our cards are cleared.

[strayknight]

[In the water he clings to his board and watches the other move out. He nods with a sigh.]

Okay...you do it first.

[megabond]

[Augustine becomes confused at Ritsu's sudden hesitation to move. He knows that this is his first time he ever surfs, but he knows the water isn't bad. Although, he appreciates the headstart.

Then once he reaches the wave, he slowly stands up as his board starts to surf the waves. At first, he almost falls into the water due to his rusty balance, but thankfully, he manages to recover as he pushes his board through them.]

[strayknight]

[It's more than Ritsu isn't a fan of the water...and he wants to study by example of this. So he can watch the right technique.

Paddling out himself, he watches the other move then notices the balance issues and makes notes. Moving towards his own wave, he attempts to stand on the board.]

[megabond]

[After a few seconds of standing on his surfboard, Augustine decides to go back down and paddles out of the dispersing wave as he rejoins Ritsu.]

Well, that's only a small taste for me. There's another one coming here, so maybe it's your turn now.
