WHAT: Izuku won a fancy dinner with guests at the Food Truck Rally and it's time to cash in on it.
WARNINGS: None.


[The restaurant is large, with three interconnecting rooms making up it's dining room. There is a mixture of booth seating as well as chairs, with the later populating the middle of the rooms in rows. Ornate lighting fixtures hang over every table, and sets of silverware lay waiting to be used. On the walls tasteful art pieces hang. There isn't a strict dress code, but this place is clearly fancy enough to require a bit of sprucing up in the wardrobe department.]

Yeah, it's really shiny!

[Maya looks around them, rubbing her chin.] Just looking at this place, you have to almost wonder how expensive the menu is... Heh! If it wasn't a free meal, I'd probably have second thoughts.

Probably better to not look too closely at the prices, really.

[She snaps back to reality as her mind wanders.] Ah, but- probably not what anyone's really thinking about, heh!

[There is a brief laugh at that and she shakes her head.]

Нет. No, it is meant to be free, yes? So do not worry. I think it will be okay. Just look for what you think is most tasty!

Of course, yeah!

[She rubs the back of her head.] I'd just feel a bit guilty taking TOO much advantage of the chefs' hard work...!

[Hmmm. She looks thoughtful at that, tilting her head.]

We can say... extra thank you?

[Maya tilts her head in Anya's direction, thinking as well. She then blinks hard, and laughs.] Okay, sure, why not!

Anya just perks up at that.]

Xорошо! I am sure that they are happy to do their job to bring good food to people. We will let them know that we are grateful too.

Mm, mm! I'm sure!

[She gives a half-laugh.] I actually kind of know how that feels, at least to a smaller degree. My parents often get home super late, so I've made their dinner a bunch of times... They're always really thankful, so it kind of just makes you want to keep doing it!

[constellates]

[Anya just nods in agreement, giggling faintly.]

Mm! It is a feeling like that. When Mama comes home and says "Anya, you made dinner? Very good!" and she gets to eat something tasty after a long day.... Those are the times when Anya's heart feels warm too. Like I also had a good meal.

Ah, yes! You're absolutely right!

[For any disagreements she had with her parents - and oh, were there ever some of those - it was very satisfying.]

Honestly, that's how it feels any time I cook for someone... It's a nice, fuzzy feeling knowing you made something someone really enjoyed!

Yes! That exactly.

[She smiles brighter, glancing about at the table - she's cooked for some of their friends that are attending.]

It is nice... Xорошо. Both family and friends, when they tell good words then you feel good on the inside too.

Mm-hm, it is! It's also a good confidence builder, and...

[Her mind drifts a bit. She glances at some other tables, dishes being served, and her brow furrows. A thought from the other day, Alicia joking about her stealing people's recipes and conquering the culinary world, worms its way into her head and she finds herself laughing almost out of the blue to anyone around her.]

Heh. Maybe I should try cooking outside of home a bit, sometime! Brightening other people's day like that could be fun.

[anya watches - and tilts her head at the sudden laughter. well, whatever suits you, girl]

Like a little booth in the park? You should!

[It's almost as if an actual cartoon lightbulb goes off over Maya's head, and her eyes brighten considerably.]

Oh! Yeah, that gives me a great idea! Might have to wait a bit, with prom and graduation coming up but...

[She blinks a little, realizing she's rambling, and grins.] But, yeah! That sounds like a good idea! It'd be fun!
