[ ann's spent an extra hour or so picking her outfit and doing her makeup for today; she's settled on a nice day dress with a cardigan and boots to top it off. something cute and light, something fun but not too casual. (she's trying really hard.)
ann walks over to the coffee shop and gets there right on time. she wanted to be punctual but, alas, hair and makeup were a little too important. she's nervous, and she's a little transparent about it in the way she'll shyly approach mako when she arrives. ]

[ a little quieter than usual. it's hard, to just think of all the other times they'd talked and pretend like nothing's happened since then. ]
