We were.
[His hand drifts upward toward his neck absently, as though he doesn't realize he's doing it; his usual gloves are also rather noticeably gone.]
There were...changes, that were done to us. To enable us to breathe down there.
Some didn't take it well. I found it fascinating, honestly.
