but now that it's distracted, he jumps into action, dropping heavily onto its back with an audible thump that sounds louder than it should. the wolf makes a pained little yowl, then snarls loudly as chuuya's knife slices through several of those tendrils on the back of its neck.
now that it knows he's there, though, a few of those tendrils lash out at him, one wrapping around his left arm and shocking him with that black lightning.]
