WHEN: July Bingo Catch All Extravaganza
WHAT: Mikleo's got some bingo squares to fill in! One of them, sadly, means he has to dress up in a mermaid costume and lounge in the fountain for a day.
WARNINGS: Language, maybe???

[You might be walking around with your friends or on your way to...somewhere in Recolle Square. Perhaps you've passed by the fountain there a dozen times before. Today, though, there's something very different about the fountain.

Sitting in the fountain is a...merman. A very annoyed, possibly cranky merman. He might look like he's lounging, but his arms are crossed and the glare he sends to people stopping to gawk says he's anything but relaxed.

Despite how annoyed he is, nobody can say that Mikleo didn't go all out on the costume. The tail is flattering and is a nice, light purple. He's also got a matching seashell...top to go with it. All in all, it goes surprisingly well with his (now more visible) circlet. Mikleo's also lucky that the gem's color didn't get taken, since it had been the first creepy thing Retrospec gave him. Also, for once, his long hair is let down instead of in its normal, high ponytail.

Clearly, though, somebody needs to harass him or compliment him or something.]

I can't believe they've got you doing this. It's ridiculous.

[When she'd seen Mikleo at the fountain, her thought process went something along the lines:

"MIKLEO?!" --> "Wow, he looks really good in that." --> "It must be a silly bingo thing." --> "I'm kind of surprised he was willing to do it?" --> "He looks so mad though." --> "Hey, I should keep him company!" --> "Oooh, I should dress up with him!"

Which is why Minako ran home and is now trotting up to the fountain in the outfit from that one princess from that one mermaid movie, the same dress she'd worn as a chaperone to the high school prom a couple months ago for the Under the Sea theme. Waving enthusiastically the whole way.]

[Mikleo will be displeased if she does. Not that he'll know, exactly.]

Yeah, I know. It could be worse, I guess. I think Sorey's said he had to make an advice column or something for three people.

That doesn't sound so bad, honestly. At least he's writing something, and not doing it in person.

[Someone else is hanging around the park for the sake of her own bingo card. Aria's failed gymnastic stunt has pretty much resulted in a minor back injury.

But when passes by Mikleo in his get-up, she feels way worse for him, even if she is trying to hide a smile on her face. Poor guy... er, girl maybe? He looks beautiful, but so very pissed.]

Hey. You okay?

[Sorey is very, very quiet as he pops up from behind the fountain. Mikleo can't see him unless he turns his head, so he's being as stealthy as possible. The lunch and drinks he's bought are safely on the ground in case this stunt goes awry.

He reaches out with both hands, hovering just a little away from his hair-- and then he tries to nab the circlet.

Hey man, he's got a bingo card to fill up, too!]

[Amelia, of course, wasn't going to take pictures. Or laugh at him.

What she was going to do was walk right up to the fountain with its new decoration and make direct eye contact until he said something or one of them blinked.

Her gaze is rather piercing and has built-in Mom Disapproval, though the latter is just slightly in effect right now. She can't help it.]

[Well, there certainly is a merman sitting in the fountain in Recolle Square. Shuji doesn't know him, and he's not sure if that makes it worse or better. On the one hand, seeing somebody he actually knew would be even more embarrassing - on the other hand, he has a few squares to fill out specifically with complete strangers...

He sighs heavily, and addresses Mikleo.]

I'm so sorry. Bingo.

[That's about as much warning as Mikleo gets before Shuji drops down to one knee and starts singing the first song that came to mind.

He's an okay singer, at least, but this has to be embarrassing for both of them.]

True, but, knowing him, he'll probably want to give it to them in person.

[He rolls his eyes a little.]

So. Did you get a bingo card, too, Vera?

[Oh, god.

Mikleo's not sure if he feels more embarrassed or grateful for Minako right this second. He rubs his face and shakes his head gently before...trying...for a smile.]

Hi, Minako. I hope you didn't get the same "Free Space" I did.

[fashioneebo]

[Mikleo sighs softly and looks away when Aria asks that question. He's not. He's half-naked in a fountain and he's unsure what on earth possessed him to think that this is worth getting a bingo for.]

...I'm fine. My pride is gonna suffer, but it'll heal.

[Eventually. Mikleo shifts his legs to a more comfortable position. ...Well, as comfortable as they can be, bound together in a "tail."]

How about you? Looked like you were wincing a bit.

[Oh, boy, will this stunt go awry.

Mikleo immediately grabs a gloved wrist and moves to splash Sorey with fountain water. He scowls at the brunet, who currently has his circlet. In retaliation, Mikleo takes the Shepherd's glove off of his hand.]

Oops.

[He's so unhappy with this. Whatever, though, he'll just dangle the glove tauntingly before hugging it close to him. Just in case Sorey tries to make a grab for it.]

[She flops onto the fountain's edge, sweeping her skirts to the side so they don't get wet.]

No, I have something about making contracts with people. [To be their master for a week, but uh. He doesn't need to know that.] I just thought you could use some company! Being stared at isn't all that fun.

[Sorey yelps as he's splashed, but he reflexively pulls his hands away and takes the circlet with. Of course... Mikleo also has his glove now.]

Ah, hey!

[Don't dangle the glove with that expression... That's rude.]

Oh no you don't--

[He drops the circlet into the fountain and goes for Mikleo's ribs instead.]

[ Sorry to disturb your regularly scheduled mermaidly fountain lounging, but this kid has business to attend to. And surprise, he’s dragging Mikleo into it! Because why not make this fun? ]

[She crosses her arms.]

[Tatsuma's been working on filling out his bingo card too, but...

Boy this wasn't really what he expected to see.

Still, he does recognize the man... he's pretty sure? So he'll go ahead and walk up, curiosity clear on his face.]

[For the same reason she just tried to do some backflips in public. Although Aria's something of a perfectionist and wants to complete it too.]

I'm sorry. It should heal with some time. [Have an apologetic smile. She watches him shift around and almost considers offering him some help. Having your legs bound like that can't be comfortable.]

Ye-yeah. You're probably doing this cause of the bingo, right? Mine was to do some gymnastics, and you might be able to guess what happened.

[She gestures to the spot beside him.] Mind if I sit down actually?

[WOW RUDE, SOREY. Don't drop his circlet into the goddamn fountain!

Not that Mikleo can say as much, since Sorey's going on the attack. He squeaks and splashes fountain water at his boyfriend again. It's not like he can actually move away from anyone in this get up!]

S-Sorey, no!

[Don't do the tickle thing in the fountain and drown your future-fiance, dude!]

[It's too late. He's going in for the kill even as Mikleo squeals and squirms. His hands skitter along Mikleo's sides and stop-- only so that Sorey can leave a bunch of big, noisy kisses all over Mikleo's face. Like that one aunt at the family reunion you always try to avoid, he's going to love you, damn it.]

[He bursts into hysterical giggling as he's tickled, but it ends too quickly. It makes him suspicious. Those suspicions are confirmed when Sorey just starts noisily kissing his face. Mikleo laughs, squirming and trying to push the brunet's face away from him in typical tsundere fashion.]

Sorey, oh my god, stop trying to be like my grandma!

[Sorey bursts out laughing and keeps trying to kiss him, which only ends up with Sorey making fish faces and kissing the air.]

The deadly siren's kiss—! I have to experience it for myself!

[Holy—]

Keep making that face and you won't be experiencing this siren's kiss at all for the rest of the day.

[He sounds amused, though. The glove is still being held protectively against his chest, so at least it hasn't gotten wet.

His eyes flick over to where Sorey dropped his circlet. Can't say the same thing about that.]

If you really want to experience it, then you have to go on a quest to retrieve my circlet from the depths of the fountain.
