WHAT: Feeling like she's going down a path of no return, Minako tries to summon the two beings that have recently settled into the depths of her soul...and on a more lighthearted note, she also gets involved in cosplay.
WARNINGS: Hints of Persona 3 related suicide and death. For anyone tapping into the Persona threads, I will be writing Seth in prompt 2 by default, but Card is also available to write Thanatos!Ryoji if you want your character to interact with him instead, most likely as an accidental summon on Minako's part. Let us know if you'd be okay with threadjacking or even a complete three-person thread if you want to go that route. Oh, and if you'd like an Evoker thread and a Persona thread all in one, please mention that in the header too!

I. I CHOOSETH THIS FATE OF MY OWN FREE WILL
Evoker use; Peach Beach late at night

[Okay, Peach Beach at night should have less people around than Hollingberry Fields at night, right? Right. Or so Minako tells herself, staring out into the ocean with her Evoker in her hand. The scenery is all wrong, but there's definitely no way she's pulling the stunt she's about to pull anywhere in public. Nobody needs to freak out over her looking like she's about to shoot herself in the head.

Because that's exactly what it looks like, the Evoker cradled in her palms and then lifted to her temple with an audible click of its mechanisms in her right hand. Her left is clutching at her wildly beating heart, and her finger is on the trigger. Her visions tell her that this won't end in death, logic tells her it can't because the gun doesn't fire bullets. But she's almost hyperventilating anyways, so so so afraid that she's making a mistake.

But she has to know.

Do you catch her before she pulls the trigger? Or are you drawn to the area by her cry?]

II. YOU'RE GONNA HEAR ME...

[Or maybe it's none of the above, and you encounter her mid-summon. Her head violently jerks to the side, the sound of glass shattering, and where one would presume a bullet would escape, there's instead what looks to be glowing blue fragments, suspended in the air. The wind picks up around her in a self-contained tornado, and a figure bursts into existence behind her with a deafening roar.

Seth, the fire-breathing dragon, spreads its wings wide as it responds to Minako's voice, head thrown back to gaze on the moon that represents its Arcana before throwing all its fury and weight forward. An explosion of fire escapes from its mouth, parting the ocean water before them. And though it's right above her head, hot enough for her to feel like her skin is blistering, Minako doesn't flinch. She kneels wearily on the sand, yes, Seth snapping his jaws shut to return the fire to the furnace after a few moments, but she doesn't flinch.]

Maragidyne...sure takes a lot out of me. Was that four or five in a row?

III. CARD CAPTOR SAKUYA
Cosplay progress; Minako's apartment

[It might be that you don't even realize all of this Persona stuff is happening late at night, and instead you encounter Minako right outside her apartment on a sunny day. She'll be either practicing cosplay poses or perhaps walking around in a pretty white dress, and while how finished it looks depends on what time of the month you stop by, she'll be more than happy to show off what the end product is supposed to look like by practically sticking her phone in your face.]

It's Card Captor Sakuya! You know, the magical girl anime. Kiyomitsu-kun is helping me make it, but I'm breaking in the heels right now.

[She lifts her skirts and carefully trots out onto the sidewalk so he can see all of it.]

I know that the front isn't dragging when I hold the skirts like this, but can you tell me if the back is?

[ For a second there he thought she was going to really life her skirts up...which he probably wouldn't object to, to be honest. (He respects you, senpai, but you are very cute...) ]

Uh-h, yeah! Sure.

[ Yosuke takes a moment to hop off his bike and pop out the kickstand. Once it's secure he stands and gives her outfit a proper look. ]

Well, it is pretty long in the back, but that's kind of the point, right?

[Don't be a pervert, Yosuke, she will kick you.]

Well, yeah, but not to the point that there's too much fabric. I don't want people from ten feet back to be stepping on it while I'm walking down the hall. Here, let me--

[She starts trotting away from him, so he can watch how much the train drags.]

[ He won't (probably).

No, he watches honestly with the utmost respect because he doesn't want to see his senpai tripping at her convention. He fashion expertise definitely don't lend itself much to this sort of style, but it's definitely kind of fantasy-fulfilling, isn't it? All girls want to dress like a princess at some point, so Minako should get to as well. ]

Hmm...I'd say you probably got a couple feet behind you. So you'll want to watch where you're going, but you won't take everyone out.

[She peers behind her-- which is hard because of all the poof, which is why she asked Yosuke in the first place-- and then brightens at his report.]

Great! Hopefully my cosplay partner can keep an eye on it, I don't want it getting too dirty, either.

Oh, so you've got a designated train carrier?

[ That amuses him a little bit. Yosuke crosses his arms with a grin. ]

And here I was hoping on applying for the job... [ Well, no, he's not planning on going to the convention but he can pretend. ] Is your friend being the guy?

[She rolls her eyes playfully and laughs.]

I met him on the convention's Facebook cosplay page so he's a new friend, but yes, he's going to be Syaorin. [She fluffs out the dress a bit, smiling to herself.] I'm kind of nervous about it, honestly! The other people in the group are pros and I'm totally new to this.

Wait a sec...

[ Yosuke blinks, frowning slightly. ]

You're gonna let some guy you've never met from online hold up your dress??

[ Okay, maybe he's jumping to conclusions but he cares about you, Senpai! ]

["Hold up your dress" what the heck is that choice of words, Yosuke...]

We've already talked a little bit and he doesn't seem like a bad guy! I'm sure it'll be fine. Besides, I'll have bike shorts on underneath.

[Though, even so, she'll kick him like a mule would if he sneaks a peek.]

[ Look. It's the part he's concerned with. ]

Well...if you're sure. I know you can take care of yourself, but still...you can't just trust everyone you talk with online! I've talked to some guys who are real assholes!

[He gets points for being concerned about her either way, it's very sweet of him.]

I know, I'll be careful. Thanks for worrying, Yosuke-kun.

[ Okay, well, a little bit of praise will go a long way. ]

Y-Yeah, of course!

[ He can try to be more supportive than paranoid. Yosuke drops his arms at his sides, starting to fiddle with the cord to his headphones. ]

So does this mean you're going the whole time? It's a couple days, yeah?

Yup! I specifically took time off of work for it. It's my first time so I thought I should go all out. [She tilts her head.] What about you? I'd love it if we could meet up and take pictures together!

Me?

[ He blinks at that, then laughs a little uncomfortably. ]

Ah...I wasn't really planning on going...dressing up in costume isn't really my thing.

[ Somehow it's harder to say that to Minako because she's so dang cute. ]

You don't have to go in costume if you don't want to! But I understand.

But if that's the case, then we should take a selfie together right now instead, while I'm still in the dress!

[ He's got to keep some of his non-existent streetcred intact, right? ]

Oh, yeah! That would be awesome.

[ Yosuke is already grinning at the suggestion as he pulls out his phone. ]

Gotta show your hard work off to the world, right?

Well, it's not really my hard work, unless you count breaking the shoes in.

[She grins back and fluffs out the wig hair a bit to prep, and then adopts her best Sakyua smile.]

[ He holds the phone out and...click! Now that's a picture he likes. ]

I don't know, wearing it is a job! Not everyone can pull off an outfit like that. I know I couldn't.

When you put it like that... [She plucks at the dress a bit, poofing it out.] Okay, I guess I'll give myself a little credit.

That's right!

[ He grins, quickly posting the picture to his Instagram. Because that's very important. ]

Okay, if you're not already, you're gonna be internet famous in no time.

[A pause.]

Do I want to be internet famous...?

You...don't want to be? I mean, it's a good picture...

[ Erm... ]

...I probably should've asked to post it first, huh?

[She smiles sheepishly and shakes her head.]

Don't worry about it, Yosuke-kun. I don't mind! I'm just a little embarrassed, I guess. It's my first cosplay and all.

Is it really? I'm kinda surprised...I mean, you look great! There's no reason to be embarrassed.

You're so sweet. [She gives him a quick hug.] And thank you. I'm going to like the picture right now!
