[ a part of hitsugaya's upset with himself that he let anya rope him into going to prom. even more of an upset is the fact that she was also able to convince him to get a dance lesson from her. why. he does not dance. he thinks he looks dumb when he does, and he's not ready to get another lecture about how he needs to loosen up or whatever silver used to tell him.

but he's here. the plans have been made, and...it's anya. she's a friend he (secretly) has a hard time refusing sometimes. a lot. so...he'll just have to deal with the consequences. he's not about to show her up, after all.

he's standing outside of her door and he gives it a good knock, other hand in his pocket. ]

[What he's greeted with is the smell of food. Anya managed to get her house after dance practice and started on the prep while she was waiting for him and the house is already bathed in the smell of curry - the dish she apparently decided on.

She smiles as she opens the door to let him in, a curious white cat meowing up at the visitor around her feet and she giggles.]

Shiro...! Ah - Polaris wanted to say hi to you too. Nyaaaa.

[ hitsugaya hasn't been to anya's place in a while, and truth be told, he's quite fond of polaris. it's a fitting name for the white cat, too. he bends down a bit, smiles just the tiniest bit as he scratches the back of polaris' ears. he's used to handling cats; his mother has way too many. ]

[Polaris, not unlike his owner, is a friendly furball to literally anyone who walks through the door. He makes an audible purring noise underneath Shiro's hand and immediately leans into the touch and Anya giggles faintly even as she wanders back inside the home. It's full of decorations - star maps that Anya's father left behind and endless rows of family pictures including family friends, there might be one of Anya and Shiro at the rink among them.]
