[He can feel his hands clench into fists at his side once in a while as they go; he can't calm himself down, not when what's being depicted in those glyphs won't get out of his head -

(a new superior breed of humans, given birth by the Progenitor virus; they were entrusted with endless potential, only one of them survived)

- and the walls suddenly seem a bit too close for his liking and he doesn't seem to realize it but he's picking up pace, not nearly to superhuman levels, not even running but he's definitely walking faster now because maybe that'll get all of this out of his system and that harsh mechanical grinding is getting louder and pulsing through his system and when the area finally opens up into a different room, a massive room, he draws up immediately to see...something, a structure that takes him a moment to parse out among the darkness and the noise.

And once he does his eyes immediately burn that bright orange, visible for just a moment before he's closed his eyes, his breathing tight and jagged and he can't...really stop himself when he starts laughing.

It's quiet, under his breath but it's unmistakably what he's doing, all thoughts of the glyphs and creation and the indifference of gods driven forcibly from his mind because this is...it's a mechanical mockery but it's Uroboros, isn't it, why wouldn't it be?]

...Of course...

[The words are equally quiet, he's still kind of laughing a bit beneath them, because really, what the fuck else is he supposed to do.]
