[The rumbling chuckle takes him off guard, getting him to blink a bit in surprise. Was the wolf... laughing at him? He wasn't exactly sure what he had said that had seemed so funny, and his brow can't help but furrow a little in confusion. Was he missing something here?

Not for the first time tonight, though, his knowledge of doggy mannerisms come in handy, as Ahmi's silent cues are enough to get the point across to him. There's something more to this-- something she wants him to know, and his eyes follow the direction her face indicates, searching the night sky, and...]

[Realization dawns across his face then, the picture coming together (so to speak), and suddenly he feels a touch sheepish. Here he was, jumping to conclusions over her actions, when all she was really doing was what he was here to do in the first place-- appreciating the stars. Of course... making them shine brighter still was no feat to sneeze at, but at least it was helping more than hurting anyone else.]

... I'm sorry. I must've misunderstood. Though I guess we're probably out here for the same reason, then.

[His gaze travels back to the spot she had pointed out, his eyes narrowing in thought as he observes it. He was no slouch when it came to astronomy, but he couldn't quite suss out this particular group of stars.]

That's... weird, though. I don't think I've ever seen that constellation before.
