Togusa continues to watch, and there is a part of him that can't bring himself to turn away. These are the things that James has had to live with for so long, he can't get rid of them. What right does Togusa have to just deny it, when he can finally see just how hard this has all been on him?

He frowns deeply in response to James' question. "No.. I mean, it can be used that way. But that's Retrospec's goal. We're not on Retrospec's time right now. What did Vanderweele want?"

Asking it aloud to remind himself. It's Vanderweele's tech. Why would he want this? "It's as if Vanderweele wanted to pick and choose, to grab some traits from people, and leave others. He has to have his own way to process that out." And he gestures to the machines.
