Hi Erica! If someone were caught by one of the shadows in addition to the creatures trying to tear a person from limb to limb, they will slowly try to devour the player characters or drown them in the ice-cold ocean. However, they can absolutely be stomped out by boots with a holy substance. I hope Li-Na kicks a few in the face.
