It dropped onto the space Lucy had been, and her vectors immediately lashed out at it to smack whatever-it-was away from them. The creature toppled backwards into the wreck of the cages like it'd been thrown there, but it wasn't alone.
The lighting was poor here, but it was enough to see how stretched and emaciated and mockingly humanoid they were. The faces were harder to make out, bedraggled and too-long hair in their faces more often than not. No eyes glittered in the fluorescent lights. Did they even have any?]
