[The ground in front of him cracks violently, opening a small fissure going toward the black hole, while a blast of flame, which could probably consume a decent sized wall, follows suit.
The black hole starts to shrink when it absorbs the flame and debris, not because of the spell. But because Al had gathered the resolve to control greed, him literally trying to fight is greed, was him metaphorically taking charge of it. Living with the hole in his heart, feeling the pain, but resisting the urge to stuff it with whatever he can get his hands on.]
