You court the favor of the gods and the ancestors to make sure that you are acting in a favorable manner, like anybody else does. But the idea that the gods are backing your every decision gets any ruler into trouble. Encourages corruption." He shakes his head some. "A leader's responsibility is to the people, not the other way around."
A slow shrug, if Malik is willing to move on. "Looks like I'll be in here a bit longer, so, thanks. I'm always looking for something new to learn about."
